Lol, when I was young I put one of these in a cup of water and sand hoping one day it would become a baby fish. I had that thing for like a week before my heart sank from defeat. I also ate one once cause I wanted to know what caviar tasted like. Haha
when a company's support staff responds within minutes to your questions, you know you have a good product on your hands that someone is super proud of! ^_^
Wow! Great video. I've used Pautzke's all of my life and it's THE ONLY store bought salmon eggs that I will ever use. When I brine my own, I only use your products. You could say that I'm a loyalist! I always wondered how you made your eggs so thank you for informational video. Keep up the great work and I look forward to using Pautzke's for years to come!
I bought a couple of used tackle boxes from a moving sale, got a lot of great vintage stuff including a Mepps spinner box from the 70’s and you know what else... 2 sealed jars of Pautzke green label. These things are at least 20-30 years old, and they are still bright red. I feel like i have a little piece of angling history. This will be on display in my study when i finally have my own home.
Pautzke! You guys have helped me land some fatty's over my fishing career! Love what you are doing with the firecure, its been more than perfect for every one of my fishing excursions, Id like to mention you in one of my upcoming videos if your all okay with that Thanks Again, Andrew
@@drvelocci bruh I don't think it's supposed to smell "good". It has scents in it. Unless you are seeing mold or it's super chunked up I think you should be fine
I've had pot skates since the eighties a few jars and I still use them to this day and if they're dried out get the potsky's juice to soak them in it works great
I just want out before the snow storm yesterday & bought 5 of each colors of pautzke Fireball salmon eggs and the colors are 5 gold garlic, 5 chartreuse anisc, five coho, 5 red, and 5 natural Deluxe. Cannot wait until I get out there and start catching my trout with these.
I swear by Pautzke's Salmon eggs. I have caught almost ALL my years of trout with them. Just today, brought home my limit for the fifth straight day. I'm in Idaho.
Any tips for the diy guy curing his own eggs for the youngins in the family? No troubles curing skiens and single eggs for spawn sacks. I haven’t figured out how to make them gel up on the inside so that they hold their shape when putting singles on a hook for trout fishing.
We purposely didn't film the first several steps on how to cook the eggs properly to prevent that. There's only three people alive that know the recipe so we are pretty safe! Some of the workers are family members while others are locals.
David lapoint I’ve found that they last longer if you store them upside down-that way the oils sorta form a barrier from the air. At least I THINK it works. Haha
Lee Miller you can buy them anywhere trout products are sold. They work on all trout. We've been in business since 1934 and sold more than 90 million jars of them, so I'd say they work well!
It's good to see a family business this successful. I will always get my bait needs through you guys.
I used this product every time i go trout fishing. Makes me appreciate i am supporting these folks when i buy the products.
Thank you!

bloody legend

Been using them for over 60 years. Would NEVER depart for a fishing trip without them‼️
It’s been used in my family 4 generations. Tried and true fishing and its kept our plates full.

a lot of fun memories fishing with these baits starting in the 50s for me.
Love your salmon eggs and your fire gel, works like a charm
Thank you so much. I'm almost 40 yo and have been using this since I was knee high to a grasshopper! Xo
I caught my very first trout on pats salmon eggs as a little boy. Still using them. Love them. I only use the green and gold lid bottles.
I've had a jar of the red ones with green lid in my closet for about 10 years, do you think they're still good to use?
If they are still red - you bet! If the seal isn't broken they'll last a decade, easily.
@@TeamPautzke I had a jar I opened and they must’ve went bad cause they smelt terrible

how are you able to get so much roe
Thank for the great bait it work great
They are cooked so they don't pop and explode when you put them on the hook.
But they still do that though💁 natural deluxe and the red label ( not getting up to look at the jar name) they both burst while I used them
I really like your bait it catches really nice trout
hey guys, how are yas. Would your eggs work in Chicago Illinois waters?
If there are trout, yes. They work everywhere.
They are real eggs? All these years I've thought they are some kind of gelatin..... this is awesome.
100 percent real!
Very satisfying
What's the youngest age you take for spots in your job?
forgot to ask. Do you sell your bait to Chicago Illinois sports Stores?
TeamPautzke What is the best salmon egg color for stocked trout?
MrDeathrene I use a lighter orange color
MrDeathrene sup jacksss
If you work at the factory do you get discounts on pautzke products?
Ya. Most take what they need.
The jars used to be a lot bigger. Been using them since the 1960's.
Garth,
That's true. Keep in mind, the price of eggs have skyrocketed as well, and the availability has plummeted.
Where do you guys get all the eggs from? Commercial fishing boats or Farm raised or ....?
Hi Mark,
From many different sources.
What kind of eggs are the jars with blue caps seen in the office?? I don't think I have ever seen those
+559LILPAW Tyee - been around decades!
How many colors of salmon eggs u make i want to buy one jar of each of them
We make: Tyee, Green Label, Premium, Silver Label, Gold Label, Natural Deluxe, Pink Shrimp, Orange Deluxe, Yellow Jackets and Chartreuse Garlic
We purposely didn't film the first several steps on how to cook the eggs properly to prevent that. There's only three people alive that know the recipe so we are pretty safe! Some of the workers are family members while others are locals.
I need a job🤤
How long do you think they last with a opened seal.
Unfortunately, air dries them out over time.
David lapoint I’ve found that they last longer if you store them upside down-that way the oils sorta form a barrier from the air. At least I THINK it works. Haha
Cdubp01 ok thanks!
The blue lids are Tyee. They are the lowest grade egg we make and cheapest.
Are they natural salmon eggs ? Or something like berkley foam ?
Where can I buy these and do they work with wild brown trout or just farmed fish?
Lee Miller you can buy them anywhere trout products are sold. They work on all trout. We've been in business since 1934 and sold more than 90 million jars of them, so I'd say they work well!
Ive had a look and unfortunately because I'm in Scotland it's too expensive with shipping, thanks for replying tho.
Thanks Lee, we hope to be there soon!
Does the warehouse run all year around?????
Every day!
Why are these jars rusty on lids.
I used these for years. But I switched to something less expensive that actually stays on the hook, and doesn't dissolve as quickly.
Hi John,
Sounds good! By the way, real eggs don't dissolve.
@@TeamPautzke , your right they burst, then deflate, leaving your hook with just a skin.
how long do you cook them and at what temperature is it cooked and do you use nectar to cook them in!
do you sell online?
www.pautzke.com
Coes pond 1972
That's a lot of eggs
I want to eat them
Damnnnnnnn
Anyone else spot the calendar? 🤣
The way that they cure them at the factory isn’t the same way that u guys tell people how to cure them with the cure products that u guy sell?
Correct. These are much different eggs. They aren't in the skein.
Where do the employees go for the other 6 months of the year?
Fishing
TilDeath1776 US they use the bait they just made
They look orbys
Cursed orbeeze
why are the eggs cooked??you can`t just add the cure and then jar them ???
Trouta Holic to keep tbem from poping when you put it on the hook
It also helps to seal the Jars
I've tryed em all don't work.
almost 100 million jars sold - because they catch trout
