This can happen in real life too. Sometimes when someone accuses you of doing something wrong, chances are, you'll find out later, that the accuser is actually the guilty one.
This is late coming from me, but he actually explained to Lea in Sapphire Ridge after defeating the boss if you invite him to your party. He only tells Lea "only a seasoned player would know", which confuses Lea.

This is click bait. Apollo isn't cheating - if that's not his first character, it means he's played before so he knows the puzzles and fights by heart and he also skips the cutscenes. Heck, he probably knows some pro-gamers moves to take shortcuts and shave extra time off the puzzles like double wall jumps or something
This is just dumb, this section is obviously made WITHOUT the player being able to cheat in mind, since Apollo already ran the thing before he will inevitably be faster than Lea The devs simply did not add a timer because no matter how fast you do it, Apollo should be able to do it faster and as a result he always spawns there first. There's no actual check unlike with Emilie who has an internal timer that you can beat
