I got the Platinum in Dead Rising and Survived to Tell the Tale!

- I’ve returned once more to get the platinum in my favorite zombie game of all time Dead Rising (2006). I had to rush this video after Capcom announced Dead Rising: Deluxe Remaster midway through me editing this video. So expect my video on that game to be longer and more thorough!

This video has done WAY better than I could have ever imagined! Thank you all for the support and the kind words, but I want to say I have seen the gameplay for DRDR… yes it looks good, yes I’m excited and yes this video will 100% be getting remastered.
P.S. Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will be my next video. (I promise I’m not just a a Dead Rising Platinum channel. I’m just excited, but know there will be more trophy hunting variety later this year!)

Dead Rising is a classic and has so many great creative achievements. Deluxe Remaster is a day 1 buy on Series X!

Dude, I had just finished replaying it Tuesday and the very next day we got the teaser. The timing on some things is absolutely bonkers
Deadrising has always been a fun game with insane challenges or achievements to get, I think thats what made it fun, knowing that the dumbest things you could do can also help you figure out how to get even the hardest trophies in the game because the game is just pure dumb fun. Also mad respect for you getting the platinum for this game, you are truly chad from chadgaming

I love Dead Rising, one of the best video games series I have ever played. I had tons of fun with the forst dead rising, I had to try dead rising 2 and 3, and I was not disappointed. I'm so hyped for the DRDR.
I’m hyped as well! Dead Rising 4 is the only bad game in the series - for me the first game will remain the best, but 2 is incredible and 3 is great! Can’t wait to see how DRDR turns out!
I remember doing the 7 day survivor and having 2 fans pointed at my Xbox 360 so it wouldn’t overheat from being on for 14 hours straight

As someone who wants this game to be their 50th platinum, I have absolutely struggled with this one. 7 Day Survivor is by far the worse and only for the fact it requires you to do it with a schedule. I was in the final hour of my 14 hours and fell asleep. I woke up some hours later to the Start Screen cutscene and was in shambles. I had really thought I was gonna make it but knowing I have to do it again? I plan on doing it early as possible tomorrow on my day off from work just to tackle it again as this last trophy sits in the back of my mind.

@@Delysicx That’s truly heartbreaking! The trophy really is no joke, I put a 15 minute timer on whenever I got Frank to full health - to make sure I was forced to stay awake whenever he needed food! That’s the best tip I can give, you’ve got this and don’t give up!

My brother in christ, use rest mode. When going for max time runs in inf I’d have my xb one in rest mode for like two weeks at a time as I’d play a few hours a day. This achievement is a breeze if you go in with a strategy. Shoot me a dm if you need help

@@tasteofowl Tried today but my kids closed the game to play Fortnite :') I was 5 hours in while doing dishes waiting for the timer so I could heal to full. Came back in shambles. Maybe I'll go again on my day off!
@@Delysicx It will, minus a power outage or system update you should be fine. As I said, when doing 17d runs I’d legit have my console in rest mode for like 2 weeks at a time. There’s nothing that says you have to do your run in one sitting haha

I've been saying Dead Rising needed a remake for years but I never actually expected it.
Now I'm filled with nastolgia of my friends and I playing Dead rising till 5am on a school night. I gotta replay it before the remake gets released
AND the release date is September 19th. Which was the date when the OG Dead Rising took place, September 19th 2006.
I did this last year, I followed an old text guide to get most trophies done in one playthrough with some save exploiting here and there and then set aside one Saturday and set several alarms throughout the day to go back and feed Frank just to get 7 day survivor done

I’ve 1000/1000g this on Xbox 3 times and the plat on PlayStation twice. When the remaster comes out it the trophy list is the same. I will book 3 days off work to plat it in that time frame

Im currently on my billionth run of dead rising and i nearly got the saint achievement but the Movie theatre survivors all died (apart from cheryl, i simped for her and got her to live), i forgot to do Cliff, and i forgot that the gun store survivors existed.. so sad.
That’s so sad! The movie theater survivors are so tough to get back to the security room! Due to it being night time, the zombies are so rough there. Good luck going for it again!

I got the platinum for this game about 2 months ago, and it was such a struggle but worth the reward. I recently got DR2 platinum, and that one is no joke. I dare you to take that one on.

You can get Saint and still do the real ending with overtime and everything, You just can't miss a single survivor.

Dude I commend you for having a spare 14 hours minimum of your day just for getting 1 trophy
For the remake, try getting the Saint trophy without using the mini chainsaw, real mega buster, or lasersword and on a fresh new game.
This is so evil… even with mega buster the Saint trophy is tough, but I’ll do it! I can’t promise that I’ll make a clean save for it, but I’ll refrain from using those special weapons!
So remember when my DRDR video comes out - you’re the reason for my pain!

I did the 360 version back in the day survived for 11 hours and the 360 crashes. The second time I did the survive achievement stocked up on everything to make the last 2 hours so I ask my bro to just keep feeding frank every lil bit so he doesnt die. Once the achievement pops he turns it off and ai dont get my mega buster unlock 👀

I had to play infinity mode 4 times..."5 Day Survivor" bugged out for me, so I got 7 days but never the 5 days. I had to try it over and over until it finally popped. I was on Xbox tho

@@BrysonGross I’ve thought about it, the problem is the Dead Rising 2 and Off the Record ps4 remasters are broken when playing on ps5! They’re prone to crashing among other bugs - so many visual bugs that it ruins the experience for me. However, I won’t write off doing them while I wait for DRDR! It will depend on that games release date, but thank you so much for watching!

Went and got this myself xD the 7 day survivor wasn't so bad thanks to newer consoles letting you have the game run while paused so i managed it 😆 the saint was a pest cos barbara sabotaged the batch with hatchet man etc by getting eaten in the park 4 times in a row 😆 that fat moo just refused to be saved 😆

I heard about that food court bug and still avoided it during my run. Have no clue if it’s been fixed since the 360 version or not!

@@user-cs9nu5zm2g Depends on the segments you’re referring to, the kill count is different when I’m in sandbox mode vs story mode. However, if it’s slight kill differences going up or down - that was either because I died in game or forgot to save making it go back down. I forgot to save quite a bit unfortunately and due to the crashing lost progress frequently. Which was very unfortunate.

@@tasteofowl i got eveything but the multiplier mini games in 2 freeking love messing around in that game. kind of lost interest in otr with how much of the stuff is broken. the new park, wepons and boss fight just aren't enough for me to get invested init like i am in the normal 2
