You are one of the most helpful engineers out there! And KIND I might add. I've learned so much from your videos. Finally feel like someone isn't preaching or lecturing me.
This plugin sounds good! Thank you so much for demonstrating it so well 🤘 Are you using the channel strip across all of the tracks or just the groups/busses?
We demand the Steven Slate preset Kit you used for this track or... maybe make a 6-7 minute video about it "How to program a modern Pop-Punk drum kit" and let the youtube revenue hit you hard!!! Seriously... it sounds so warm and beautiful... way wayyyy better than the last Blink182 album produced by Barker! p.s I know you released a video a few months ago "Mixing Midi Drums - Everything You Need To Know" that video feels kinda illegal, sharing so much knowledge for FREE... but can you imagine if that video had a genre of music attach to the title?? "Mixing METAL Drums - Everything You Need To Know" I bet you anything it could have triple the views cause you know... Metalheads search for Metal related videos, pop-punkers gonna search for pop-punk etc etc etc MAKE IT A SERIES!! Go rename that one and add the Metal word on title/hashtags (if i remember correctly it was the Metal Man preset enhanced/mixed by you to perfection) and then make a new part "Mixing Pop Punk Drums - Everything You Need To Know", "Mixing Indie Drums, "Country" etc etc You deserve all the revenue for helping all of us noobs here :D Since i found your channel my mixes improved so dramatically that I'm actually embarassed for still having my old songs up on youtube and spotify! Thank you for everything!
@@spinlightstudios Emm.. I was talking about the drum-kit you used for this video and... I had no idea about the Frank Zummo Expansion... I just google it and... YOU SNEAKY MAN... that video is uploaded only on Steven Slate channel! I have bell and notifications about your new videos!!!! So I guess the drum-kit you used on this video is the drum-kit you programmed with Frank Zummo Expansion??? If yes... then I know what I need for black friday!! Xrack Pro + Sum41 SSD expansion! :D
@fevgatos But if you listen to the pop punk demos (all of the demos) on the zummo expansion pack page (stevenslatedrums website) - you’ll hear some zummo kits I programmed and mixed :)
Hey Mike! I used a mixture is spitfire intimate strings and spitfire studio strings. I definitely spent ALOT of time programming them and manipulating the velocities and feel of the strings, you have to otherwise they can sound a little robotic like all midi strings
It's more comparable to neutron, but this just does it better, neutron has got ai, but with this, you just pick a preset and tweak it. All of the nuro plugins are nice, izotope are hit and miss at best..
@spinlightstudios let say that will can see similar things, but ozone is much more dedicated to mastering. But this one looks much more dedicated to mix isn't it? Can we use It for mastering too? But as I know for a while the main difference between both is the price 🤣🤣. This one is much more cheaper than Ozone which is VERY expensive 😂😂😂
@@spinlightstudios I'm on windows using brave browser and my computer deleted the file as soon as I download saying virus detected. It seems like a crazy useful plug-in though. I'll be watching for updates for sure.
Thank you for this... Definitely need to check out more of your videos!
Thanks man!

Thanks mate! Just keeping it real :)

Yeah it’s pretty awesome! A bit of both!
Great vid! Would you use this on vocals as well as XVox? I love that plugin but this looks even more useful.
You definitely can, Xvox is a more specifically tailored to vocal processing though. Xvox is great, used it in a few mixes recently!
Awesome. What drums are you using?
Thanks, these are live drums with a snare and kick sample blended in!

Haha I appreciate that man! Maybe a good idea for another video! Are you talking about the midi drums I programmed for the Zummo expansion pack?

Impressive. Shame about the price. Good vid, thanks.
Thanks! Yeah I guess, but you get a lot in it!
Can you review the sound quality of the free vocal remover PopPop AI?
The Transient is just an Attack knob for the compression isn't it?
I guess it could just be manipulating the attack and release.. which is basically what a transient designer does!
@@spinlightstudios 90% of the time I use compressors as transient designers, the other10% for density or glue like mixbus.

I'm interested in a channel strip like this Nuro. How does it compare to Ozone from Izotope ? They seem to be playing in the same ground.
Thanks
I haven’t used ozone for mixing so I can’t really compare the two sorry!

Hey Rhys. What's up? Can we say that it's some kind like ozone? Even if ozone is much more mastering?
I haven’t really looked into ozone as a mixing tool, does it look similar to you?

@@fwscoringmusic6670 with Black Friday, ozone advanced is in the same price range as xrack pro (which is also discounted for BF) : 175€ vs 169$
I tried to get that plug-in but my computer said it was a virus for some reason
Do you use Mac? They changed some security settings a while back and you always have to allow third party plugins access to install.
