Hi...you didnt tell us what to set the ohm meter box too?? What settings do we set the box to so we can check the parts??? Its lots of settings on the box..
Hi mate my coil and spark plug cap are the same as you have there my plug is getting 4.5 k and the coil is getting 5.8k are these ok or should I change it bike bogging not running right any help would be great thankyou

Can you test at the resistor ? My middle pins not giving a reading but bike kicks over fine just Boggs down at ¼throttle to wide open Could I test at the resistor to eliminate faulty wire
I have a 82 Yamaha xt550. My bike runs good. But my lights are so dim you can barely see then. I replaced the battery, and took the switch apart and cleaned it . It made no difference.
Russell Snook was ure light battery feed? or lined with d rpm based current... cuz if it was a battery feed might have a loose connection or a dirty connection along d line for d light.. might bhe d supply wire or d ground wire... or d light switch itself

My stator only has two wires coming out of it, with the female and male rubber plug,

what was the last one? mine picks up nothing from the last one so im guessing thats the problem. would a new ignition coil fix it? if no what will?

Is it common for the coil resistance to check out fine, but still be bad? Having some potential electrical issues after riding for a mile or so.
