This is so awesome! I had my little NES Mini for like 7 years and I hacked it 7 years ago and all I did was put more NES games on it. I had no idea that you could put other systems on it!! I'm about to rehack it again and put on the games that come with the Super Nintendo Mini, Sega Genesis Mini, and TurboGrafx 16 Mini so I can have all the mini systems in one unit! Too bad it doesn't do PlayStation! 😂

I installed hakchi2 ce on my nes classic, downloaded RA, added many nes games and updates core to FCE (vs stock). The default suspend floaty thing doesn’t show up any more if I exit using the reset or (down + select) combo. Even if I save inside RA, if I reload the game, the save is completely gone. Any ideas?
Unfortunately, I failed to make games run on my SNES Classic w/ OTG adapter. If trying tocrun them from the Classic menu itself, it always takes me back to the menu no matter what. Those games only run when running them explicitly from RetroArch (the Clover app, in this case). I tried several times, to no avail. So i was forced to give up emulating in the Minis...
I don't know if anyone else said anything about the Donkey Kong Gameboy game… Gameboy Donkey Kong's "border" was a Super Gameboy feature… I'm not sure about any other "core" but the Gameboy core won't give you the border feature 😉😉😉😉
There is a limit to how many objects (ROMS) can be in a folder. Hackchi keeps a count at the bottom and turns red if it’s too much. And the console itself has a limited amount of memory so it’s best to use a flash drive if you want to do a lot of games.

Not sure if you will see this message but here goes. I was successful in mod’ing my NES classic to play SNES and N64 games too. Only issue is the old classic controllers don’t work on some of the N64 games like super mario 64. I can’t seem to figure out how to reprogram the old controllers to work on the N64 games. I was thinking about buying a N64 controller off Amazon but I can’t seem to find an adapter to connect the N64 controller to the NES classic system. Ideas? Suggestions? Any advice is great. Thanks.
Have you tried a different OTG with an extra USB port? And using one of the USB N64 controllers from Amazon plugged into it? This is what I was thinking of doing for playing N64 games. Unless the wii classic controller does the job?
My favorite way is to not get an NES Classic and to just use my computer connected to my TV! I keep Retroarch and a bunch of ROMs on my tablet and phone too, which work great with a Bluetooth controller. I usually use tablet + controller on plane trips overseas... get an RPG or something, and you're good to go for quite a while. If you want to get fancy you can use cloud folders for your save games so they sync across devices.

Yeah its great but playing games on real specs will always feel better than emulation but the amount of bang for your bucks is quite amazing here
I have added a ton of games into my NES and SNES minis, turns out the games are all trash.
One thing I’m pleasantly surprised about is the scaler. The games look great at 1080p, not quite pixel perfect but worlds beyond composite

I got this one as a refurb from Nintendo direct. Was for a pretty good price.

Really cool! But why bother doing it on an NES classic and not a SNES classic? Since the NES controller only has 4 buttons plus a D-pad.

i have one snes, nice thing that you can do with screen effects and borders , its only with the snes console games , sadly no works in other systems.

How well does arcade games in mame run on the NES/SNES classic?
That's a good question. MAME is such a pain because of how the ROMs have to be the right version, I haven't tried it on a Classic or Mini.
Depends on the game - the NEO GEO games work amazingly well but you have to add the BIOS to the games folder. X-Men vs Streetfighter also runs great.

It is a waste of time trying to emulate Nintendo 64, Nintendo 64 emulation is a MESS, I recommend trying to run native ports.
