- If you're deathly afraid of sharks one might think the safest place to live would be the desert unless you were to buy this $50 million dollar Palm Desert mansion, complete with a shark tank. Don't worry it's safe - just don't mistake the aquarium for one of the three swimming pools. Due to scorching heat and all, it seems unlikely that a luxury home could be found in the desert. It turns out, however, that the desert is a rather picturesque location for the rich and famous. A open land, a blue white sky and bar with infinity pool and you can truly feel free anywhere. These desert houses are both architectural marvels and practical dwellings for modern residents. I've lived in mansions and actually prefer smaller places. Not micro, but standard housing is ideal. What seems 'awesome' just becomes normal. Not to mention the random people every day being there to clean/maintain everything.
@2:41, he said "2,667 square foot" instead of the "20,667 square foot" that it actually is. Then I realized that even after dropping the square footage by 10x, it's still considerably bigger than where I live.
Why do I watch these kinds of videos? They used to be motivating when I was younger and had hope, now they're just depressing.

This is probably the best looking house I've ever seen and I've seen quite a few. I wonder why almost nobody uses this kind of architecture. Right angles are boring and they make everything look exactly the same without any room for designing it to your own preferences. Like why would everyone want to live in boxy rooms? I think the only thing this house may be missing are the solar panels, that would cover the whole roof, maybe a few wind turbines for the night. The dessert environment may make the house completely self sufficient even during a nuclear disaster event. If there's no more sun for years, you can be damn sure there will be wind.
The reason people use right angles is because it allows things to fit well inside your house. Crazy angles make furniture hard to find and poorly utilised space.
And then drones were made......privacy, gone.
