The voice reminds me of Jonny from Fifth Gear, but his face reminds me of...a teenage boy who was lucky enough to have a dad who has a 488 Pista. This was really well done.
If that 488 Pista had the straight 458Italia killer Sound. It became my dreamcar instandly

This Presenter James is extremely talented. I watch many car reviews but unlike the others he doesn’t come across as cocky or flashy, nor too geeky. He comes across as very honest and knowledgable with an extensive vocabulary - credit where credit’s due. Awesome review

Great video - in future I think more of the same is good, supercars is what we all dream of so keep it coming. Perhaps a review of the brand new Ferrari F8 Tributo would be good as nobody seems to of got their hands on it yet. And then of course in time - let’s see the new Aston Valkyrie!

That was a good stuff. When I saw the face of the driver I though "who's that kid? is it CAR magazine or some poshy vlog?". But he's a hell of a talker. One of the best CAR-videos I've ever seen. Bring me more of that content!

the redline is actually set at 8000rpms and not at 9000rpms like the video suggests
Mohamad Al Yousuf maybe he meant rev limiter. You can usually rev the engine into the redline before the rev limiter hits.

You guys can be forgiven for the fuzzy photography because this chap has the car journalist's edge to his presentation, and sound's quite unscripted. Quite Tiffy, lively presentation. And individual also. Good photography, apart from the fuzzy bits, cause it has a quality newsy feel to it. One can get quite fed up with all those Top Gear wannabe's out there. This stands on it's own. keep the photographer.
I like it very much... great shots of the Pista. I am not a fan of the Giallo paint but this one seems at home with Pista... I am converted :-)

great review young man. an incredible machine. right now I have better things to spend £300k+ on, but a great car all the same. given the higher build numbers, these will come down in price and then I may be interested.

This dude has the most talent of any presenter I've seen in years. Reminds me of Tiff and Clarkson in their prime. Really cool to see. Almost nobody has that type of presentation ability.

488Pista>720S
I do have to say... Base model 720s vs top of the line 488... The 720s is faster and looks that inspired the Pista. I would still take the 720s!
@@GS-pn4ld the 720S is faster but lost to the Pista on all 5 tracks? The quoted 1/4 mile is the same at 10.1 so we need to see some Pista's at the track to see if they go faster like the 720S that has run 9.7 a few times but does run 9.9 consistently. Top end is the only place the 720S will for sure be faster as the Pista has more downforce for track use
@@GS-pn4ld plus I like money and Ferrari track cars hold value very well and appreciate sometimes. 458Speciale for example, or the 599GTO, TDF, and 430 Scuderia
@@eichler721 Those are good points you make. I can't argue about that. But, like I said, the Pista is the top model. It's shouldn't be a comparison in any category. The 720s was out way before Pista. So, it should destroy it on track and in a straight line. So, the comparison between cars is apples to oranges. If and when we get a 720s track version, that should be the car we are comparing. We have had about 3 versions of the 488... Only the Pista can really compete with 720s. I would like to see those track times you mention to see what the difference is. In the meantime, those Pista numbers will only be better until the lt model is out.
@@GS-pn4ld the F8 has not even had number put out other then HP so we will see. The 488Pista and 720S are 1 year 1 day apart. May 2017 and June 2018. They are on separate cycles. The LT version will show next year and be out in the fall most likely so it's never really fair
I'm quite suprised that this motor journalist is very young but he presents and drives really swiftly. He can concentrate both! That's brilliant! I guess he benefit that from racing background,like: karting or touring. Nice job though!

I have had both a 458 and 488 for a weekend each and the torque is what u notice in the 488 it’s massive. There is a lot of commentary that the sound of the 488 is no good but to be honest I thought it was great

Hopfully sacrificing grip means not fitting wider tires/wheels; 255/35r20 on 20×9 and 315/30r20 on 20×11.5 for example, because that can be rectified in the aftermarket vary easily.
I think it's just the tires. The standard tire is the Michelin Cup 2K , with Cup 2R as an option (the same as the Porsche GT2 RS). The K is supposedly better on the road and R has more ultimate grip.
R888r Toyos are the best tires for a super or sports cars hands down
