A tip for the compressor. Put it after the amplifier and run the ratio and level at 100 (reduce the ratio to gently raise the volume) and set the threshold and attck to zero. It'll allow you to crank the amplifier and pedals. It really starts to feel like a proper cranked amp feel at that point.

I have always been all about analog pedals, but my wife just bought me this as a Christmas gift and it is probably the coolest system I have messed with.
Yeah or even a way to plug in an expression pedal to expand on it would be cool. Maybe in a future version they will! They are expanding all the time on this stuff 🤘
@@ScottUhlMusic There are wireless expression pedals (e.g. Boss EV-1) so it seems feasible that this could be done completely in software. If the phone app supported pairing with a wireless pedal, and allowed assignment to different parameters, you would not need a new model of the P1 at all. Or, since the pedal already supports bluetooth, maybe a firmware update for the pedal could do the trick. I sure wish my Boss BR-80 had wireless control. Its old but jam packed with features and is not much bigger. But, alas, changing patches is not feasible for live performance.

I like this product a lot. I have a Mooer GE250 and it’s great! When you include the tablet/ipad expense, the 250 is actually less expensive. Thanks for the great vid.
I very much appreciate the practical details in your videos - like does it operate while charging, so you can use it for longer sets or when you're paranoid about battery!! As you're a working gigging musician, you appoach these reviews from a practiacal "can it actually be used in a real live situation" perspective - really helpful!
Hey Scott, I bought the pedal based on this video, so thanks! About the pitch shifter: you would think like any pitch shifter you want it first in the chain, but actually I found it works acceptably well if you put it *AFTER* the amp. I have no idea why, this isn't how any other pitch shifter I've ever used works, but for some reason it works that way. Was able to achieve a decent octave up or down wet/dry blended octaver effect that way. I would absolutely not use it 100% wet though. Then again, there are scant few pitch shifter pedals that work very well past like +/- 2 semitones anyway. Literally the only one I've ever heard that sounded ok was the Digitech Drop, which I also own.
I use mostly the GTRS since it had the pedal incorporated into the guitar, but it’s basically the same thing. I post quite a bit of it on my Instagram 🤘🤘
I usually come for the tech, but the way you just rifled through that many iconic riffs shows that you’re a dope player as well. Need to hear some of your music
As a guitarist for 10 years ive always had problems w finding the right pedals and just been using my amp most of the time. But i do really need pedals for a better tone but its never good enough to my liking for certain songs to only use one pedal. This prolly solves my budget issue and i could customize the pedal woah awesome bruh i hope i can get my hands on it
You speak of minimalism to a kindred soul, as a bass player I've also evolved down to one ( sometimes two ) pedals. I started 25 years ago with an 8x8 and a full 500w head 5 peddals and 2 basses at gigs down to a Ampeg bass Di and one bass. Depending on the gig I also bring a 1000w powered speaker, but everything fits in the trunk of my car Vs. The back of a truck way back when. My powered speaker does Bluetooth also, I bet this system could play through that the way this plays through the mini speaker system it has. I'm sure there's tons of models for the bass too. Still can't believe that this is only $100 + 40 for the footswitch. Even with the P1 only, it is the best compact multi effects pedal there was. Great gift for beginners and just dont tell them anything just give it them and let them be mindblown by how great this device is. Wow

Love this, was thinking about buying rig but now I don't. Ill just go with this. Already got equipped with iem sets and it's fantastic. Now I'm gonna complete the thing! Thank you
No stacking drives, or modulations. This is better than the zoom unit I had back in the day, but definitely for beginners and people who like the phone more than the guitar.
Impressed with the Prime P1 so far. HOWEVER, I initially connected to it via bluetooth with my Google Pixel 7 pro. Firmware updates were available but would not install for some reason. I then decided to connect to it with my old Samsung Galaxy 7 and the firmware updates installed with no issues.
Just found this video again and love it. I wanted to see if you’re still using this minimalist setup. Thanks! I’ve subscribed to your page and your videos are easy to watch and understand. Thanks again for all you do!
Oh yeah, also wanted to know if you ever used this with an acoustic? It looks like it was thought of in the build, but lack of compressor in the acoustic section is a bummer. Not that I couldn’t go into one before going into the P1. Just curious if you explored the acoustic guitar settings. Thanks Scott, love your channel.
Thanks! Still use the GTRS guitar all the time (it basically has this built into the guitar, so I just have a wireless pedalboard). I haven’t messed with the acoustic settings much, but this thing does work really well. I always have it with me as a backup, but the GTRS P800 is my main guitar
wow... very cool pedal.... as a bass guy, love the sound of the short clip of the 12 bar blues sound you did but all of them sounded good with so many options..... drum machine etc
Hi Scott, you have a brilliant and really helpful channel. I’m a oldy but guitar newby & find tech really challenging. Could you tell me if you can actually install for both electric & acoustic guitar on the one prime p1 or would have to buy 1 for each? Or …. Would you have to re install each time (loosing everything) dependant on what guitar you are using. Many thanks
hi Scott... nice to see you here bro..! great stuff man. Suscribed already. these rig you are demoing here is incredibliy practical and sounds great. I think im gonna end up buying one of those..! Cheers from Dominican Republic..!
Hi Scott I'm a new follower/fan, getting back into performing after a VERY long time,. I've been watching your backing track stuff, planning to start using Stage Traxx,. This is a very cool device... probably going to get one... but can I change patches on the Prime P1 from Stage Traxx?
Since the app was just updated with acoustic guitar tones, I would figure that guitarists/singers performing small coffee shop acoustic gigs would go nuts over the Prime. There's only one review of the acoustic patches currently on TH-cam. I think more people would buy it if they knew how good the new effects (and new drum rhythms) sound on the new update.
hi again Scott, Can you do me one favor ? it’s quick. i need to confirm the diversity of time-measures available on the metronome, it’s really important, for me. @18:57mins you show it by scrolling through them. i can spot 2/4 to 7/4 , as well as 6/8 to 9/8. --> are those the only ones ? was this not updated through firmware ? (i use a lot of 11/8 and 15/8 .. so no dice ?) Many MANY thanks (in advance) .
Mooer put out some *REALLY* extensively featured gear at great prices, but I'm not super sold on their support or reliability. This looks like a great bit of kit though.
@@ScottUhlMusic Yeah, my Mooer Preamp Live died (no sound out of any of the outs, all the midi, software, and switching still seemed intact) after 2 years. No one here wanted to know anything about it, so I've shipped it back to China at my own expense to see if it can be repaired. They also seem to have dropped support for it relatively quickly in preference to these smaller preamps and units - which is a real shame because there wasn't anything else like it for the price. Having said all that.... they seem happy enough to have it returned for them to look at.
I agree as well. I bought a prime p1 and while the functionality is great…the build quality is not. I get these random popping noises on rare occasions when playing. I can feel the circuit board moving around when I plug the cable in and take it out. I’m not expecting it to last a super long time.
Great review. I want to get a full set of this for my acoustic guitar but seen many complains about many SW bugs & poor bug fix support as well as subscription plans that are offered in order to enable some of the apps functionalities. Can you confirm that all that was shown on your review would work without any additional subscription payment ? Do you know of major bugs that prevent clients from using this device ? Thanks a lot, K.
Greetings from Paraguay/South America. Question: Lets say you are playing live on stage. For changing presets with the footswitch and/or changing tap tempo, is it necessary to keep the app open? is it necessary to keep the mobile/device screen ON? Thanks. Great video!
Scott. So understanding that the Guitar, bass & Acoustic start up and settings are all different. Will this allow you all the different saved settings in both and to call each up in the banks differently on the Gtr5 pedal as well? So cool. As at this up and coming gig I have very limited space.
Utilissimo video! Voglio iniziare ad imparare a suonare la chitarra elettrica e credo che comprerò questo P1! Mi confermi che può essere usato anche come scheda audio per usare la chitarra ad esempio con un DAW (garage band su Apple)? Grazie
Great review - thanks for your time and effort! I checked the manual and still am a little fuzzy on a couple of things: a) Do I understand that the QR code is essential to connect to the software and that the unit might be dead in the water without it? Mebbe scan it in your printer and have some backups in case something happens to the one on the unit...? b) Can you bank up/down on the Prime P1, or do you have to have the footswitch? c) Any suggestions for mounting on your guitar or strap, keeping in mind you can't cover the QR code? d) Any possibility of some, uh, “genius” in the audience tapping into your bluetooth ? Thanks again.
Thanks! A) that’s not a bad idea for sure, although I’ve only had to use the QR to link things together, so you don’t need to keep using it after that. But a backup is a good idea. B) you need the footswitch C) I never figured it out, but I’m sure there is a way. D) once you’ve connected to its Bluetooth no one else can connect to it. You cannot connect two devices to bluetooth, so I wouldn’t worry
Awesome video Again Scott. I have purchased this prime 1 with the pedal and in looking to add some tone and also set up the pedal for my acoustic and a duet for this weekend. Thought I’d try it live with very limited space. What I’ve noticed in your video you are bringing up amps. I’m unfortunately not getting this in mine. Is there an up grade or something I need to somehow load onto it? Thanks again
Scott, hi! Tell me more about the pitch shifter, please! I realized that it doesn't work as a "fake bass". I have a task to make the sound so that the main note sounds and at the same time it is an octave higher. Is this processor suitable for such cases?
@@ScottUhlMusic it’s tempting. I just have to figure out how to incorporate it with my synth pedal. I’m currently learning with an Ammoon looper. Maybe I can figure out the looper in that unit.
Dude it's amazing how Mooer is putting out cutting edge shit, and this is coming from a traditionalist but LOVES amp modelling as well. Do you know if this stuff has an effects loop? Or is it more or less the usual of adding analog pedals to the modeling?
Thanks for the comment!!! As an active user, could you answer a number of questions? 1. Is it possible to load third-party impulses, etc.? 2. Do you always need a connection to your phone to control it? 3. How many effects can it handle together, in terms of Chorus + delay + ...? 4. In terms of practicality, is it possible to set up something in the form of banks with several cells? And, do you use/have you used it in real live conditions? I really hope that you or other users will answer my questions 🙏 I asked all this for the bass guitar
@@ScottUhlMusic Nice one Scott, ah yes I remember in a previous video you mentioned the pitch shifter being useless. If the got individual pickups on each string like the Godin LGX individual strings could be retuned, but the Godin is 90s midi technology, so if Mooer could bring this tech into the 2020s it would be perfect! Love the channel 👍🏻
I don’t do a/b comparisons on my channel. I’m working on a video about that actually. I think we spend way too much time a/b comparing stuff when we should just be going “does this work well? Can I get a useable tone out of it? If so, I’m going to use it.” Just my two cents. So I personally will not be doing a comparison video. But if you do want to find one I’m sure it’s out there
Very nice demo. thank you ! I was going to go for a Boss pocket GT, but I'm not so sure anymore. Can you use 2 effects of the same kind in the Prime P1 effect chain , say, a reverse delay *and* a regular delay next? Looks like the Pocket GT's effect chain is quite flexible, but not sure about the Prime 1. How is it behaving in terms of digital audio interface: clean sound without hiss and noise?
I do not believe so, which is okay by me, but I know some people might not like it. And I have recorded with the GTRS (not the P1) and it’s nice for sure!
Hi Scott, cheers, did you also get a chance to try the latest mooer prime p2, if yes I'm really curious to know your experience with it because im seriously considering selling all my pedals and getting a prime p2.
Men that is just awesome little bitty devices. But this also reminds me why I went back to pedals too many damn options 😆. I will drive myself crazy all over again lol 😆🤣
I started out with the GT6 ended up with the GT 100 and went to petals lol. But I do play a digital amp Blackstar ID 260 and I have a pedal board that's what I use now.
Looks and sounds pretty cool. Have you tested it on any Android device? As far as I remember, Android might have some latency issues, at lest it was the case with some IK Multimedia devices.
Thank you Scott! 1 question- it seems like there are more than 4 presets that the foot switch holds, maybe 8? The only reason I ask is sometimes I must hit a wrong switch while doing a loop & I lose the 4 presets & it goes to another 4 I had programmed initially. Any assistance from anyone will be appreciated! Thanks again for the video
Thanks! Glad you like the video. I’m not sure I understand, because that doesn’t happen to me with it. If you are on 1A 1b 1c 1D, the only way for them to change is if you switch to like 2a 2b 2c 2d for example
Scott, again a great video. What a cool little thing! I 've got the same James Tayler Variax as you. I saw no light on the knob of your Variax, so I think, that you played with the Humbuckers. Is that right? I like the sound very much. Which pickups did you built in? Greetings, Claus, Germany
Thank you brother! I've had this for about 6 months and use it for open mic nites. I'd love to use it for my gigs! No issue there? No stereo an issue? I'd love to ditch my gt1000 core for an even smaller footprint. Much love! ❤
Thanks a lot for your video! I've also seen some of your videos on the line 6 helix hx stomp. I have an Epiphone Les Paul and am considering to buy the line 6, but after I've seen this video, I'm seriously considering now to get this pedal. But I have a question about it, do you need a GTRS guitar in order to use the Mooer Prime P1 pedal? Or can you use it with any guitar? Thank you, would really appreciate if you can answer me these questions! :)
Line 6 has more options like expression, snapshots, modes, and things like that. This one is more portable and minimalist. It depends on your needs. Both are great and I continue to use both 🤘
Hey Scott, I recently checked out your review for the m-audio b.beat player, which I just bought for my band. Now I was wondering, if this Mooer Prime P1 was able to be hooked up on the b.beat as a wireless food switch? I would love to control the b.beat wirelessly ! Thanks for the feedback! Love your channel by the way!!! - Sascha
Great video Scott I notice you have a Fishman wireless on your guitar .have you reviewed it. I have both wireless and connect and find them useless.really need help.
I didn’t review it per say but I did a video demo of it here: th-cam.com/video/HpkashMAKcc/w-d-xo.html I haven’t used it in a long time though. I did get rust on it from traveling to the Caribbean a bunch and it definitely effected it with rust on the pickup part of it
Thanks for the really interesting and informative video. Do you know if the Bluetooth pedal can be used for TH-cam to stop/start and loop videos, and as a page turner for tablets?
Just curious. Would there be a way to use wireless headphones with this? Also, if that was possible, was also planning on using a wireless guitar hookup system. Thanks for the help.
So, you can use 2 different pedalboards with one main unit to get different sounds? Say I want to use one pedalboard for clean & a little gain and use the other board for leads - high gain & super high gain? The Bluetooth doesn't have interference between the pedalboards??
Im not sure I understand, but you can make different pedalboard layouts within the app, and I have clean, overdrive, distortion, and lead. It works great that way
Hey Scott, have you tried the Boss Pocket GT? I was wondering how you thought the Pocket GT compared to the P1. I'm a drummer but I occasionally pull out a guitar and plug into the PA to jam as a rhythm guitar. Surprisingly, I don't see any videos comparing the two. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated. Love your channel!
I can’t remember if this one can connect direct to your computer/phone. The P2 does allow that. So if this one doesn’t, you just record into and audio interface connected to your computer or phone 👍
Scott, hi, can you give me a hint, please? If you take two such pedals, one for bassist and one for guitarist, and buy their bluetooth footswitch, will there be any conflicts, for example, bassist's footswitch will connect to guitarist's pedal?
Yup, it has! I still use my stomp for gigs where I have midi controlling my pedals, and I’ll use my helix on larger gigs where I need a lot more tone control. But for the most part it’s the GTRS guitar or this guy 👍
Out of curiosity, is it easy to use the foot switch to switch entire presets with a specific signal chain like the hx stomp?, with effects already applied? Or is it just better used to engage/disengage pedals, activate tuner etc. Like if I had a nice clean tone with a comp and other mods, can you set that preset/signal chain to the far left button then set a crunch to the next switch and then a lead tone and so on? Or is that just a helix/axefx thing?
This one is more like changing presets for the hx stomp. Although thats the way I prefer it to be honest. Maybe in the future they will have a way to turn on or off pedals. But I use it as Clean, Overdrive, Distortion, Lead and then have a few setup for specific fx like Trem, ambient and auto wah
Still recommend this? Has anything better come around? I’m a newb and looking for screw around with in the living room. Was thinking about this or the Spark Mini
So with the footswitch, can you switch between 9 banks and 4 presets per bank for a total of 36 presets? Once you set it up, can you use the footswitch to access those without the phone?
Scott, one of the best video I've seen about this product, but... Nobody seems to want use it as an audio interface, I mean for real. Can you tell me if it's realy usable as an usb audio interface in a daw, about latency ? Thanks
I use it live, and I haven’t used it as an audio interface since I have my nice Apollo twin that I love. I would trust it as an audio interface though. There is no latency with the product live
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks for your answer Scott. If you have a moment one day, why not trying ? :) This product mean to be "all in one thing" so I was just thinking it could be interesting to know, as well for the looper fonction and the drum machine ! Just wanted to know if it is more gadget or realy usable... Thanks again anyway !
I've recorded direct to my phone whilst recording video and didn't notice any obvious latency. Looper works well and can overdub, but need footswitch for best use (it will auto start when you start playing but need to press button to stop so not easy without footswitch). Drum beats - ok, but not great. Limited selection, but usable and they record with the looper from memory. Also convenient for practice along to video lessons on the go. Connect phone to P1 via Bluetooth to hear the video lesson, plug guitar and headphones into P1.
Hey! Thanks so much for the video. Love your personality. Straight foreword. I'm looking for a backup amp that I can go direct just in case my current direct in system happens to fail. I'm currently trying out the Spark Go, but have had the bluetooth disconnect periodically when using the tuner, or saving a preset etc. Very frustrating. Have you experienced anything like that with this system? Also, can you assign a button to turn on the distortion for a boost as and example? As well as portability, I'm looking for stability and obviously usability which this seems to have! TIA!
I haven’t had this one disconnect, and it’s always my main backup. And you basically save “presets” and arrangements but not turn on/off certain pedals. But I actually prefer that
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks for the reply. I read in one of the MP-3 review video that it can be used with HHOP M-VAVE Chocolate midi pedal to control presets.

Thank you again Scott, question, how many delays can you put in series?
Just the one. That is a small limitation of it, but it works for my setup 🤘
i really love when technology makes life easier, nice video!
Unbelievable how fast Modeling units have advanced and how powerful they are. Thanks
Absolutely! It’s amazing how far they’ve come just in the last 5-10 years 🤘🤘
Thanks! For sharing! A Great product here!
🤘🤘
Well, you convinced me to buy it, and now I'm back learning how to use it 😂
😅
Thanks for bringing this product to my attention
Thanks for watching!
Whoa man I love the hell out of this. Also just found your channel and you got yourself a sub
Thanks man! 🤘
Nice video. Very thorough and informative. Thanks.
Thank you!
150 usd on amazon. Absolutely affordable. Good vid all around 👍
Thanks! And yeah, definitely one hell of a deal!
I like your text legends! Great idea!
🤘
Really cool
Thanks Scott
🤘🤘
Hi Scott, you have a brilliant and really helpful channel. I’m a oldy but guitar newby & find tech really challenging. Could you tell me if you can actually install for both electric & acoustic guitar on the one prime p1 or would have to buy 1 for each? Or …. Would you have to re install each time (loosing everything) dependant on what guitar you are using. Many thanks
I think for using it live I would have two P1 units. And thanks! Glad you’ve enjoyed the channel
I use it on my electric Ukelele as well
This is so sick sold
hi Scott... nice to see you here bro..! great stuff man. Suscribed already. these rig you are demoing here is incredibliy practical and sounds great. I think im gonna end up buying one of those..! Cheers from Dominican Republic..!
Thanks!! 🤘🤘
Awesome presentation! Thank you!
Thanks!
Hi Scott I'm a new follower/fan, getting back into performing after a VERY long time,. I've been watching your backing track stuff, planning to start using Stage Traxx,. This is a very cool device... probably going to get one... but can I change patches on the Prime P1 from Stage Traxx?
Thanks! And no, p1 does not accept midi unfortunately
I probably should do a video on the acoustic guitar setting 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic That would definitely be a good thing for your channel. Cheers.
The acoustic is nice! It has some good modeling (maybe IR?!) and it makes my piezo sound much better
What is the Angry Eddie sound displayed at 7:18? I appreciate your presentation without all of the ad lib. Others could learn. Well done, young man!
Thanks! And I believe it’s going for a Pearl Jam type of sound?
@@ScottUhlMusic Ahhh. Makes sense now. I'm sure I could search (or maybe it's preloaded) for an EVH sound. Thanks for the reply.
hi again Scott,
Can you do me one favor ?
it’s quick.
i need to confirm the diversity of time-measures available on the metronome, it’s really important, for me.
@18:57mins you show it by scrolling through them.
i can spot 2/4 to 7/4 , as well as 6/8 to 9/8.
--> are those the only ones ?
was this not updated through firmware ?
(i use a lot of 11/8 and 15/8 .. so no dice ?)
Many MANY thanks (in advance) .
really awesome!
thanks for sharing
Thanks!
Mooer put out some *REALLY* extensively featured gear at great prices, but I'm not super sold on their support or reliability. This looks like a great bit of kit though.
They’ve been good when I’ve reached out to them. And yeah they have been making some great gear!
No, there are no subscription plans with this. This thing works great!
Greetings from Paraguay/South America. Question: Lets say you are playing live on stage. For changing presets with the footswitch and/or changing tap tempo, is it necessary to keep the app open? is it necessary to keep the mobile/device screen ON?
Thanks. Great video!
Nope, you do not need the app after you have programmed it 🤘🤘
Scott. So understanding that the Guitar, bass & Acoustic start up and settings are all different. Will this allow you all the different saved settings in both and to call each up in the banks differently on the Gtr5 pedal as well? So cool. As at this up and coming gig I have very limited space.
I honestly haven’t used much besides the electric guitar because that’s what I play, so I don’t remember tbh
Utilissimo video! Voglio iniziare ad imparare a suonare la chitarra elettrica e credo che comprerò questo P1! Mi confermi che può essere usato anche come scheda audio per usare la chitarra ad esempio con un DAW (garage band su Apple)? Grazie
Thanks, and you can record directly into your computer with this device into something like GarageBand, yes 👍
stupendo! lo acquisto! grazie
Great vid! Does the prime has an output select like for example i want to plug it in front of an amp? Does it sound great in front of an amp?
I have only used it direct, but you could turn off the amp and cab sounds and just use it for fx 👍
Ok u got me. Subscribed 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thanks Carlos!
Great review - thanks for your time and effort! I checked the manual and still am a little fuzzy on a couple of things:
a) Do I understand that the QR code is essential to connect to the software and that the unit might be dead in the water without it?
B) you need the footswitch
C) I never figured it out, but I’m sure there is a way.
I got it I was on the acoustic guitar mode and it does not have Amp cab settings there.
You probably don’t need an amp with the acoustic guitar setting on it
Scott, hi! Tell me more about the pitch shifter, please! I realized that it doesn't work as a "fake bass". I have a task to make the sound so that the main note sounds and at the same time it is an octave higher. Is this processor suitable for such cases?
I do not like the sound of the pitch shifter personally on this
@@ScottUhlMusic, thanx!
That seems like a cool little pedal!
It really is!
It does not have an fx loop in it. But yeah it’s a really amazing piece of gear! And I bet they will continue to build on it 🤘
Very nice video! congrats. It is possible to turn on / turn off the specific effects of the existent presets using the footswitch?
It’s not setup that way, but you could do it that way. Preset a has chorus on, preset b has chorus off and reverb on, etc
Hey Scott, great review, does this allow you to detune the guitar through the app or play in different tunings? I think the Variax does.
Unfortunately no, the pitch shifter is useless and I go over that in the video. Variax and this together works very well though!
I realised i need to take my time and learn this as when you press multiple buttons the wireless foot switch juat goes standy by mode for ages.
This goes into standby?
@@ScottUhlMusic yes the wirless footswitch just seems to be stuck on standy by mode
Save is a floppy disk. Nice.
🤘🤘
would like to hear a comparison with a old POD, a Kemper, and the Prime P1.
What I hear from the demos is that the P1 sounds somewhat flat.
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks, Much appreciated
Hi Scott, cheers, did you also get a chance to try the latest mooer prime p2, if yes I'm really curious to know your experience with it because im seriously considering selling all my pedals and getting a prime p2.
They sent it to me, and I will be doing a video on it soon!
Thank you so much@@ScottUhlMusic eagerly waiting for it to decide if i can make the P2 as my main rig
Men that is just awesome little bitty devices. But this also reminds me why I went back to pedals too many damn options 😆. I will drive myself crazy all over again lol 😆🤣
Hahaha I prefer to use a single unit over pedals. If that’s this, or helix or a quad cortex, I definitely prefer that personally!
I have apple stuff, so I have not
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks for the info.
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks for the reply Scott, I’ll play with it some more- awesome unit!
Yup that’s correct, just the standard humbucker 👍 it’s the stock ones that came with it
Thank you brother! I've had this for about 6 months and use it for open mic nites. I'd love to use it for my gigs! No issue there? No stereo an issue? I'd love to ditch my gt1000 core for an even smaller footprint. Much love! ❤
Great to hear! It’s such a great device!
Can you gig with it?
Absolutely 👍
Does it record stereo when plugged into the computer as an audio interface? does it sound stereo if I ust cable the jack into the output ?
I don’t believe so. Most guitar is recorded in mono… and then doubled if you need doubling for stuff like distortion
@@ScottUhlMusic Great! I asked because actualy I have a Scarlett Solo which only one jack imput so it records in mono.
You can absolutely use this with any guitar 🤘🤘
@@ScottUhlMusic And could it be comparable to the line 6 in terms of sound and features? Or will the line 6 always be a better choice?
Line 6 has more options like expression, snapshots, modes, and things like that. This one is more portable and minimalist. It depends on your needs. Both are great and I continue to use both 🤘
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks for your advice! At the end I got the Line 6! Really love the sounds, but still learning to use it
Ur guide should be listed as the official Moore tutorial video , dummies proof better than the hated paper guide that come with the product ten times
Haha thanks, glad you found it helpful!
- Sascha
The footswitch for this only controls the P1. You would need something different for the b beat 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks for your reply!
Great video Scott I notice you have a Fishman wireless on your guitar .have you reviewed it. I have both wireless and connect and find them useless.really need help.
I didn’t review it per say but I did a video demo of it here: th-cam.com/video/HpkashMAKcc/w-d-xo.html
I haven’t used it in a long time though.
Thanks! And no, it’s just used with the P1 itself. Something like the Morning Star MC3, 6 or 8 I believe will do something like that
Just curious. Would there be a way to use wireless headphones with this? Also, if that was possible, was also planning on using a wireless guitar hookup system. Thanks for the help.
Sure, you could plug in from the output wirelessly. And definitely works with a wireless guitar system 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic Thank you.
It works great that way
What I meant is, can you use 2 pedals at once with the main unit?
Hey Scott, have you tried the Boss Pocket GT? I was wondering how you thought the Pocket GT compared to the P1. I'm a drummer but I occasionally pull out a guitar and plug into the PA to jam as a rhythm guitar. Surprisingly, I don't see any videos comparing the two. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated. Love your channel!
I haven’t tried that one, so I’m not sure, thanks for following the channel!
Hi, I would like to know if you have heard any noticeable differences in the sound when you change the arrangement of the chain order
I mean, that all depends on the setup. That’s a very broad question. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t change much…. Which is how it should be
Hi :)
Please how do you record the sound? Is it possible connect to the phone please?
I can’t remember if this one can connect direct to your computer/phone. The P2 does allow that. So if this one doesn’t, you just record into and audio interface connected to your computer or phone 👍
This looks interesting, how is the latency with everything bluetooth?
Performing live with it, I don’t have a problem with it latency wise 👍 it works great
Scott, hi, can you give me a hint, please? If you take two such pedals, one for bassist and one for guitarist, and buy their bluetooth footswitch, will there be any conflicts, for example, bassist's footswitch will connect to guitarist's pedal?
Nope. I’ve used 3 of these one stage before. No problems!
@@ScottUhlMusic , thank you!
Awesom demo man! Has this replaced your HX Stomp for gigs?
I love this and still recommend it!
Woah really cool. How is the latency? This is the first time I came across your channel. I'll check it all out.
Thanks! And I don’t hear or feel any latency when playing 🤘
Can you run it directly into a aux in on something like a sound bar in the living room?
Yup, you can run it direct 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic via Bluetooth or would you need an aid cord that has a guitar input on one and a converter to aux on he other side?
So with the footswitch, can you switch between 9 banks and 4 presets per bank for a total of 36 presets? Once you set it up, can you use the footswitch to access those without the phone?
Yup and yup 👍
But I actually prefer that
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks for the lightening fast reply! I think I'll return the spark and get this with the footswitch as well. Cheers!
Simple question. Can I use Bluetooth headphones instead plugging in wired headphones?
Nope. Here’s why: th-cam.com/video/rKyAxbUBkis/w-d-xo.htmlsi=B8eo6HCS5Pun-rcs
How are the amp tones of this unit compared to Nux mp-3 you reviewed? Would be cool to do a comparison vid.
NUX doesn’t have the pedal, so I like this one more, but if you are just using it for practice, both are good 👍 I gig with this device though
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks for the reply. I read in one of the MP-3 review video that it can be used with HHOP M-VAVE Chocolate midi pedal to control presets.
