Hey everyone, thanks for watching! The most common questions I'm getting in the comment section are: 1) Is there any latency when switching patches? I don't notice any... of course it might be different if you change literally every single thing including the amp and 12 different pedals, but for my setup, it's not noticeable. 2) Can you change individual pedals on and off with the footswitch? No... it just changes patches. I personally prefer that because I have "clean, rhythm, lead, wah lead, ambient clean, etc" for patches. I used to want individual control over my pedals, but I actually really prefer this way. I have certain patches for certain songs too. Like Shut Up And Dance has that delay guitar intro, and I have that tempo mapped exactly to the tempo we play to on 5A and the solo has a Chorus fx on it that's on 5D for example. Hope that helps!
I saw a video the S1 and you can link one of these pedals to that, so you have 8 pedals total. And on that device you can assign the additional buttons to turn individual effects on and off.
I’ve watched many vids demonstrating different features. Half the time they don’t have any idea . After watching you demo this I can actually figure out how to USE the pedal. Thanks.
Your musician tips and tech tricks has helped me greatly. I am a MD for a small church and all the IEM and smaller tech has really saved me on the budget side. Thanks again so much! Happy New Year!!
Hey everyone, thanks for watching! It looks like the combo on Amazon for the Footswitch and P2 is sold out. However, you can still buy them individually. I've updated the description as well, but you can buy the P2 here: amzn.to/3vjdvDf and the footswitch here: amzn.to/48uBj5w I know the initial run of these was limited (which is why I was not able to get a 2nd one for a giveaway this time, so I got a 2nd footswitch instead). Anyway, hope you all had a great New Years! Hope your gigs are full in 2024 and the number of times you have to play Sweet Home Alabama are at a minimum 😅
Hi Scott. On behalf of the band and I, thank you for your kind words and generosity. I have seen this product before and I own a Mooer PE100. It is my backup rig. I now have the confidence to order and start using this product as well. Scott Uhl ROCKS!
@@ScottUhlMusic I got the Mooer P2 and footswitch and have used it on stage. Its compact design and sound options are great. Thanks for the informative video, it has reduced the time I spent figuring it all out. Trying to get a sound I like is where I need to spend even more effort. There are a lot of options. What about a video breaking down guitar sounds? Like how much depth in a chorus sound, speeds of multiple delays, and what to listen for in an edge of breakup tube sound. How many presets you use in a covers show. Thanks!
This is something I could really use as my 71 year old back continues to remind me that I am no longer a spring chicken carrying around a 40 lb combo rig. I'd like to wish y'all a Happy New Year!
Hi Scott. I got myself a P2 about two months ago and I've been gigging it with Bass. I just turn off the amp and use the cab and effects. No amp on stage and we use IEM's. Great system. Thanks for your work. I appreciate you.
Just bought this along with the footswitch after watching your video. I use a hx stomp live so bought this for a backup but after having a play this weekend I might use this as my main rig, it’s fantastic. I’m blown away with the sounds from this thing. Guitar gear now is absolutely amazing, I can honestly say I think in the next 15/20 years not even stadium filling rock bands will be using valve amps they’ll be using things like this. 👍
Looks like a magic "Happy New Year" pedal. I love how everything you say is precise and clear with no wasted words. There's a lot to consider here, but it looks great. Thanks!
Wow!! This is a very detailed and complete video demo. Full featured. Really great, Scott! Love this cool device! Sold!! I did not even know about this device until now.
Hi Scott, you are my "go to" for advice on kit and its use. Your stuff on Mooer prime is great and I use a P1 and GTRS for my main rig. I’ve just bought the S1. On part 2 of your common questions reply you begin to talk about how you structure your banks clean, rhythm, lead etc. I’d really love you to do a video on how to have your banks set up in a structured way. Whether to put all the clean patches together on a bank or two, or maybe to start each bank with a clean on A, then rhythm of B, then lead on C, then a specialist one on D for example. Would love to see what you have to say about that. Big thanks from me in the UK for what you do. Neil
Thanks man! And for this I generally do either of these: Clean, fx, rhythm, lead Clean, overdrive, distortion, lead And I’ll some some for specific songs. Like shut up and dance has a specific delay pattern and then an fx for the lead to mimic the keyboard. Or enter sand man has a chorus fx on the clean and then auto wah for the lead. Stuff like that. But for the most part, I generally use the other two. I do have one patch that has delay on them, and one without delay. I do wish there was more control over each fx sometimes, but with how compact it is, this works great!
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks Scott, that’s good to know. Regarding more control on the fx, when I get to look at the S1 properly, I believe it can be used with the gtrs and use that to turn up to 4 fx on and off.
I own a GTRS W900 with the footswitch and mini amp. You taught me a lot about some of the APP terminology, like between amp patches and cab patches. Thanks. I didn’t know GIR meant cabs.
Hi Scott! Great review. Really helpful! I came to watch it again after purchasing the Prime P2. Your channel is one of the best and most helpful for musicians. Thanks for sharing. Best regards
This device is awesome. You can get pretty convincing sounds expecially with 3rd party irs. I also use it with a preamp pedal, loading irs and post fx and is incredible. The only cons, which aren’t a big deal anyway, are that you cannot turn on or off the blocks, that you cannot directly delete or change place to a preset ( you can manually delete the effect chain, and you can save a preset to another slot and then delete the chain of the original one) and that there are no acoustic guitar like on the P1. But for the price and the size is a very very good piece of gear!
Happy New Year! With a looper and drum machine, this sounds like it'd be a perfect coffee shop/acoustic guitar solution - yet not a single video on TH-cam shows this capability.
When I saw the Mooer guitar a year ago, first thing I thought was... how can you take the system out and use it for any guitar... great solution! I wish Mooer could develop an ecosystem that would allow patches to be shared across different Mooer platforms. Happy new year!
Great review. The only real advantage I see over the P1 is the ability to work with it from the touch screen without the app. I have to say, I took my P1 on tour this year and had it crap out a couple of times. I had to connect with the app and select any patch for it to start working again. It still beat flying with my pedal board & flight case.
Interesting, I haven’t had any problems with the P1. But I use my GTRS much more. And the P2 does also have midi, stereo, and third party IR which are really nice. But if you do not need those or the touch screen, the P1 is a great option
Glad to see MIDI on it ! very tempted to replace my helix by the P2 ! Indeed HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and all the supporters that help keep this channel alive :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR! WOW! This is incredible and possibly just what I’ve been looking for. I have a boss Me-70 but I wanted midi control so I bought a Headrush pedalboard. But it’s HEAVY!! So I started looking at the me 90’s but it too large for my footprint. And then, you come along with THIS! I’m 99% sure I’m gonna get one!!! I only need basic effects - reverbs, delays, chorus and a couple distortions and I’m good to go. I believe I’ve found what I’ve been looking for. Thank you!
Hey Scott. Happy New Year! You have the best gear channel IMHO. No fluff, just the facts. You turned me on to Stage Traxx 3 and taught me how to use it. Appreciate all your great work and look forward to seeing your new content in 2024!
Happy New Year! Thanks for the video, I have weekly gig that I need a minimal rig for. Something versatile that fits in my gig bag is JUST the thing. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these!
Cool minimal rig, maybe not as informative as "fullscreen" ones, but certainly useful for some needs, pity you don't giveaway the whole setup but cool anyways. Happy New Year y'all, party people!
Thanks for posting. Been looking for something like this to replace my computer / Scuffham S-Gear setup for live shows. Looks like Mooer P2 is going to get a shot. Happy New Year!
Gear keeps getting better, smaller, more convenient, powerful, and less expensive. I'm sure it's nice to look down on the stage and see such a clean and uncluttered setup, without wires running everywhere. An Expression Pedal Jack would be a nice addition to the MIDI footswitch. Do you have a favorite mini Expression Pedal?
Thanks for the upload. It would've been useful to see you using the very small footswitch in a live gig. In this vid, (which is controlled and steady) it appears that using any more than the very tip of the shoe, (unless your wearing Winklepickers) is gonna render it unusable in a live situation.
Thanks for watching. And I’ve used the GTRS as my main guitar for over a year now… so the foot controller IS my main pedalboard. It’s completely useable live and works very well

That pedal is very useful and I'm sure I will buy it at some point, because for a pedal that fits in my guitar case it is very useful. Thanks and Happy New Year.
I try to think of something witty this time but I guess just saying a lovely, happy new year would be best… Thanks for all the Gary reviews last year. It truly helped me build a rig for my band. I look forward to more reviews on gear for musicians. Thanks Scott keep up the good work.
Happy New Year! 🎉 Never seen these before. Always wanted to get something that is small and portable. I’ve always wanted a Helix, but the price is beyond me! This could be an excellent answer to the thing I’m after! Thanks for your great comprehensive review! I love it!😊

Nice! Glad it’s been working well for you!
HAPPY NEW YEAR Mr. Uhl and everyone!
Happy new year 🤘🤘
Happy new year everyone! This seems like an awesome piece of gear!
Happy New Year! Thanks for the video, I have weekly gig that I need a minimal rig for. Something versatile that fits in my gig bag is JUST the thing. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these!
Looks an amazing bit of kit. Another ace video bud
Great video to start 2024. Happy New Year Scott
Thank you 🙏
The Rockman sure seems lacking in comparison. Happy New Year!
I think one of these needs to come to Reno! Happy New Year!
What great piece of gear. Easy to follow description, thank you. Happy new year.
Thank you! 🙏
Great review Scott!
Happy New Year! So glad you made this product review! I found the P2 after seeing your P1 review.
Happy New Year. That P2 looks like a great rig it seems to replace a lot of other pedals and gives you a lot of flexibility thanks for the TH-cam.
Shopping for an effects/looper. I think this review made my mind up to get this. Awsome review and playing!
Thanks! 😊
It's a happy New Year when I'll get my pedalboard for my P2 ! Great video, keep the great work!
I found your channel recently and I find your videos useful. Happy New Year
Impressive! Thank you for the review. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Very tempting, like the concept if you need minimal gear.
Yeah I reviewed this one a while ago: th-cam.com/video/fzN7HDeggEI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gDrdFbPaBed2vxqP
Super cool, to be small is not to be little, cool
Awesome review! I am just about to buy one of these. Maybe I won't need to get the combo with the footswitch..... Happy New Year!

Definitely need to go wireless, Happy New Year
That pedal is very useful and I'm sure I will buy it at some point, because for a pedal that fits in my guitar case it is very useful.
Thanks Jake! Glad you have found the channel useful, and thanks for all your support!
Happy new year. This would probably be great for my punk bands guitarist. He's not super techy but is looking for something different
Happy New Year Scott! This is interesting. Gonna check this out in my place. Thanks for this detailed review, Scott.
Happy new year! Thanks for always supporting the channel 🤘
Dude, what a cool product ❤. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
15:26 Interesting! Now I need to check to see if my P1 has undo on the looper. That is one complaint I had on that.
Happy New Year! 🎉
Never seen these before. Always wanted to get something that is small and portable. I’ve always wanted a Helix, but the price is beyond me! This could be an excellent answer to the thing I’m after! Thanks for your great comprehensive review! I love it!😊
"Happy New Year" Scott! Thanks for your videos ... very helpful!
happy new year. I love your videos. I got the HX stomp and figuring stuff is not my strong suit. You saved me so much time.
Glad I could help!
HAPPY NEW YEAR, Scott!
Thanks, Scott. Happy New Year! Very good demo…ordered one myself.
Nice! Enjoy 🤘🤘
Very interesting device, thanks for all the great content, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
