As I am married to a Filipina. Is it best to petition for a permanent residency as a spouse before or after arriving to the Phil?
Also. As a spouse, we will be moving there for good early next year. Do I need a return ticket to show immigration in the airport when we arrive?

Af ter my 30 days was up I went to extend it cost five thousand five hundred peso for extra month. I then extended another month and that was another five thousand five hundred. Total 3 maths. So for the extra 2 maths was eleven thousand. Be aware you can only extend for one month. Then you have to go back to extend another month if you want to stay three months.

Hello. The way I was told to do it, I go through TMobile, as no other U.S. cell phone really works in PH, and went to TMobile and bought a $150 (+$30 activation fee) cell phone and had them clone it to my main phone. Then they take the block off to free up your spare phone, then hand it over in PH to get your PH SIM card with your PH phone number with all your information from your main cell phone that was cloned to it. Can still use data (no calls) with your Tmobile for codes and social media etc.., no calls or it's $$$$$$. And then use your PH phone while there also. I run Express VPN, so with your U.S. cell phone, you can just VPN your usual U.S. location. All this technology (not a fan) seems to have made life more difficult rather than make life easier. 👍

Today is May 31,2024 and l just finished watching this travel requirement you posted. My question is this. Do l need to get a visa from the Philippines’ Consulate here in Houston before l fly to stay in the Philippines for more than 3 months for vacation.
I have a round trip ticket from June to September of this year. Born in the Philippines but already a naturalized American citizen and have an American passport.

Just show your old Philippine passport (if you have one) when you travel here. Show it to the immigration officer upon arrival, so you can be given a 1 year stay under the Balikbayan visa. No need to apply for a visa prior to travel to the Philippines

So when Im in the Philippines can I just simply extend my stay/visa online on the E-services website (Bureau of Immigration website) and thats it? do I have to visit them in person at all or mail them my passport? Is it better to do it in person, I heard sometimes you have to mail in your official passport to extend your visa, which I am not comfortable doing, what if my passport gets lost in the mail

Hi Jocelyn: I am a foreign national (U.S.A.) married to a Filipino dual citizen (U.S.A. and Philippines). I called the Consulate and was told that I can stay in the Philippines up to one year if I travel with my spouse. I wasn’t given any more details, so I want to know how that works. Do I need to apply for 59 days and keep extending each month? Or do I simply book two round trip tickets and everything is okay? I’m a bit confused about how this works. Thank you for your response.

You don’t need a visa, just get a onward ticket from the internet for 28 days to show your leaving before 29 days
You will get a 29 day entry visa waiver as an American.
Then you just go on their website and extend it for 1 month. It should not cost you more than 3030 pesos. It’s 2030 for the visa waiver to extend 1 month and 1000 for express fees.
Do not waste time applying for a visa, just get dummy ticket and say ur leaving in 28 or 29 days…

The eCard system is painful compared with the info required by most other countries.

Seriously? You complain and speak ill just because you are not willing to follow the immigration laws and entry requirements of the Philippines? May I remind you that as a foreigner, you are NOT entitled to any right in the Philippines. So better stop whining and stay in your home country (or go somewhere else) if you don't want to follow the immigration laws here.

Your Sudanese husband may apply for a 13a (marriage) visa to be able to stay in the Philippines indefinitely by virtue of his marriage to you.
