- We take our 2005 Contender 23/25 Tournament to the midshore tuna grounds looking for our first Yellowfin Tuna on the new rig. We have only tried a few times, but they had alluded us so far.
The bite gets going around 1 pm and we go 3 for 4 on nice size yellowfin tuna using light rods and reels, 25-30 pound leader, and live/dead bait.
We left em biting and called in a friend, as we had to get back and prep for a swordfishing trip the next day (unfortunately that didn't go so well).
Stand by for tons more vids!!! - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
I am totally addicted to chunking now. An awesome way to catch them and relaxation interrupted by total chaos.
it's my favorite by far!
After Zach’s broke should have immediately given your rod and reel mate. Right thing to do
We are pretty chill about that stuff on our boats. I was in a groove so I just stuck with it
Great job with the Yellowfins! That's my favorite blood on the deck.
thanks so much!!
Great day and video, Thanks Capt!!

You’re right about how a boat shower feels. Thanks for shouting out military/first responders…been a FF/Paramedic since ‘04 and I fish with my work guys almost exclusively. Little boat is sweet!
Thanks so much man!!
Glad to see you guys get the Yellowfin skunk off the boat.

Contender rocking! You guys are "_Slayers"!👍🎣
Ha! Thanks so much for watching!
You cut the gills and bleed the out immediately. Next summer I might try that. Little sopping wet. Nice trip.
Yeah we always bleed all our fish. Makes for a nicer end product
Great job guys... you and Zac are a hardworking duo! Congratulations on accomplishing you goal of Yellowfin on the little Reaper. Check you sneakers Captain Chris... Nike? Tight Lines.
Ha!!! Those are my Air Monarchs I think!!
Cant believe you fish bigass tuna with 25 lb leader, sporting dudes👍🎣
It's a challenge for sure! Thanks so much for watching!
How come you didn't use spot lock and your trolling motor vs anchoring? Current running too hard? And just curious how much total anchor rode are do you take?
It's one less thing to worry about out there. It's nice to just set the anchor and relax. typically for inshore/midshore lumps you'll need 400-600 ft of line. I think the contender has around 400 ft
I GOT HIM!
Ha!! Thanks so much for watching!
Love the videos. Do you do charters? Love getting the advice from your videos
thanks so much for watching!!! No we don't charter
nice work, how did your buddy boat do in your slick after you guys left?
they got bit instantly and caught a bunch!!!
Bro awesome day congrats 👏👏👏👏 … where are u fishing out off?? Thanks for a great video..💪💪
thanks so much Carlos. We fish out of Atlantic City, New Jersey

"...Plenty of flats and ice"... What are flats? Are those boxes of bait?
A flat is just a box/rectangle of frozen bait. Usually butterfish or sardines
Great Trip. Where do you leave from?
thanks so much. Atlantic City, NJ
