I just got my Xreal Air 2 Ultras with the beam pro and I am loving it. The Beam Pro is amazing for Netflix and TH-cam. The spatial anchor finally puts the picture in the place I want it without shaking and drifting at all. For Productivity and gaming it is not fully there yet. I tried the Nebula App on my Macbook and yes it has improved but still quite shaky. But for watching content with the beam pro it is just fantastic. I defintely will sell my TV now.
Fantastic and informative Review. Thank you for creating this video to help me decide to purchase this as a supplement or perhaps replacement for my Quest 3
Thank you so much your video, it was really helpful. I own OG Nreal 1's and I do like them a lot but like you said on the video, the biggest negative point for me it's the shade blocker. I wish Xreal would offer a trade-in program so we could get a substantial discount for upgrading to the new ones as AR glasses are such a specific niche. And for $700 they should include a Version of the Beam Pro's with a flagship processor such as yout ZF6 or my S24U. I also own both the Beam abre Beam PRO. Beam was a scam really, beam PRO is good but underpowered.
Hey Rene, ive got some health issues that make ergonomics a huge priority to me. After seeing the immersed visor demo i was... Underwhelmed and I'm looking at this for an alternative. I've seen that there are options like the rayneo 2 which give you maps and such. Im mainly looking to work on these, which rules out the rayneos, not to mention they are a bit 🤓, but if I have ar glasses, it would be cool to have some of those map/ai functions. So, do these have any kinds of similar options?
Btw finally a meaningful review that answer a lot of questions very much Thank you for this!!!! Is it possible to show us the difference inside the glasses what you see? How much more you see is my question.
The camera does not do it justice. I would recommend ordering the Ultra's and if you don't love them just return them. I took a picture form the phone. I was going to buy Air 2 Pro + Beam Pro when i saw this video and it got me thinking. Would it be worth sacrificing the Beam Pro in order to go for the Ultras instead of the Pro's? I can probably pick up a Beam or Beam Pro later anyways?
Fab, thank you so much. ^‿^ You've answered some questions that I have had about the Ultra. Now: I know you said that you'd only used it for a day or so, at the time of recording, so I'm curious to hear when you've had a chance to try any of the hand-tracking features. I have a personal use-case where I'd love to rock these while cooking, eating, and washing dishes, when it would be super useful to be able to interact with TH-cam in a hands-free manner.
Yes 100% there is a app called Xreal Nebula for Windows it's in Beta right now and you can def connect the glasses to your laptop to get up to three virtual screens floating in front of your face. It's amazing. ALSO make sure to follow instructions to setup your 3D card settings so there is no tearing or jittering when you use Nebula. I would like to know how clear text is to really read emails and edit documents for an hour. Any eye strain? Does microsoft remote desktop work well from the android phone? did you hook these up directly to your windows pc? how was that performance? do you even use a monitor now with thise? thats the biggest question, is it that good that you wont want to use a real monitor?
Hi it's like looking at a sharp monitor. I spent 4 hours working in them and was productive no eye strain at all. Remote desktop through Android using the app Splashtop Personal is amazing and sharp. RDP works as well. I just don't use it as I don't want to expose my port on my router. Directly to Windows PC works but the Nebula for windows is still in Beta so a lot of Graphic driver settings had to be done. And Yes still use my monitors when I am at home. This is my solution for having to work from the back yard or remotely without carrying a huge laptop. Hope this helped.
Thank you so much for sharing your insights! I am not impressed with the Beam Pro as well. What do you recommend to replace it without sacrificing all the capabilities that the Beam Pro provide? I'm mainly using it for productivity and watching video entertainment on netflix, youtube, etc. The 3d photos and video is cool but not necessary. I thought about a tablet but it's not so portable due to its form factor. I want everything to fit inside of a fanny pack (so far, there is a foldable keyboard and portable battery. I still need the Ultra and......that X thing).
Yea, I hear you, there is nothing that will let you have 2 apps running at the same time right now. So I would get the beam pro and it will only get better. If you are just watching shows and want to remote in then just mirroring a Samsung flag ship phone should be enough. But I'm sure XREAL will be working on improving the BeamPro and giving it more capability. I just wish the Beam Pro had a better CPU and GPU.. But that might come next year.. maybe? Also the Beam Pro not having cellular is a major drag cause you now have to have to carry two devices. So that's kinda annoying.
@@renehasp Can You se any reason why Xreal could not just release the software so You can run it on any Android? I mean besides the cameras - you can use a USB hub to get the charging / in/out of video etc so You could run Nebula on any Android, right?
It works, but it's gimmicky, and I don't see myself using it in public. I'd prefer using my mouse and keyboard or the Beam Pro/Beam for remote access. However, I'm excited to see how room scans and possibly 3D object scans will work with the front cameras.
I dont want the beam pro. If i just get the glasses the ultra do i have the axis of movement? Also can i put the screen in the corner so i can see through most of the glasses? 9 the feature that is on the beam ) or do i need the beam pro for these features, thank you

Question about xreal air 2 ultra. Is it possible to fix the screen in space on a notebook windows so that you can comfortably play shooters such as warzone 2? Thank you
If you mean use it as a singly anchored mesh, I have that same question. Do you need the beam pro or does it work with the Xreal nebula applications for Mac, Windows, and Android?
Great question. With the beam pro you can but it's not powerful enough for Warzone Mobile. (GPU CPU) I'll try later to see how it works on a my leagion GO and if it works then it should work on a good gaming laptop with Warzone PC version.. I will also play more with the original nebula app to see if Warzone Mobile works. I also wanted to say I kind prefer the screen to always be in front of me cause then you can rest and reposition your neck and the content is always in front of you. But I understand why people like the anchor in place feature.
When I purchased my Xreal AR 2 Pro glasses, I have loved them ever since. I used the original Beam unit to control the size of the screen and used the data pass through with the Beam to play games and also run productivity apps from the Legion as well. My Beam Pro device arrived a few days ago; it was one of the first pre order batch units. I’ve been experimenting with it and learning how it works, playing with 3d pictures and video, etc. One thing that shocked me just yesterday was when I came to the sudden realization that this device has no data input like its predecessor does. That USBC input on the left side of the bottom is only for power, not data. I think I understand why-they want the Beam Pro to be used as a standalone device. I know it can be done, but I sure do enjoy viewing content directly from my Legion Go-and it seems that I will have to use Splashtop if I want to do that. Looks like I will be paying for the business version on a monthly basis if I want to be able to take advantage of the native Nebula onboard multi screen ability. I’m also hoping they are able to open that up to three screens instead of two. Overall, I’m not overly thrilled by the Beam Pro. I think it isn’t powerful enough and needs that third screen along with the data pass through port. I wonder if the latter is something that could be enabled, or if it’s a hardware limitation…

I would buy a 55 inch tv instead if thats the size I'm getting.
Hi there, If you enjoy the experience of watching a 55-inch TV from 6-8 feet away, then definitely try the xReal Air 1s. But if you want full immersion, like sitting in the fifth row of a large movie theater, I highly recommend the xReal Air2 Ultras.
The Ultras offer a much more immersive experience, and the large screen size significantly enhances both work and play.
