Hey there! We created Beam Pro to be the ultimate spatial computing companion for XREAL glasses. That meant addressing customers pain points, like device fragmentation across the smartphone industry. Even with a Nebula app, our glasses can't connect to every model smartphone. Furthermore, there are still many devices that do not currently or cannot support DP output via USB-C. @XREAl_Tech_Support doesn't work as external output is blocked by sky and the version that works with the original beam doesn't work with the pro, this is a step backwards, I'm going to keep using the original beam and hope you fix the pro so it works soon before the return window closes as I will have to return this in it's current state
Ok, So I had the Xreal Air 2 Ultra & the Beam Pro for a few days thoughts: 1. This devices is the ultimate on the do Display for any Android app as well as streaming media apps. 2. I have used it for far connecting with Anydesk, But I have Windows 11 Pro so I can use Android RDP to log straight into the console, cool. 3. The screen recording appears to be limited to 30 seconds, maybe a setting I haven't yet found. This limitation does not happen in 3d recording via the device. Model Xreal X4000, Android 14 Battery 4300mAh, 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 @1.80 GHz, 4 x ARM Cortex A55 @2.21 GHz 8 Cores, 3 Threads Resolution 1080 x 1140 pixels, 300 DPI (Per Eye) I am impressed with the field of view of view but in future models they are going to need to raise their game in this respects. It's not going to be like the Apple Vision Pro if you crave that experience but it is VERY impressive for the price. Those screens are exceptional in my opinion and the colours are most vivid.
Wish u could make a video of the productivity use case, particularly using this setup for multiple virtual monitors for windows. I've seen other videos but with the old beam device and not covering much for productivity use case
But only 3.5 hours battery?? Literally just make it a little thicker with 8-10 hours battery so we do not need powerbanks. Also when the battery degrades eventually, it wont even have 3.5 hours..
The Vitura Pro are my favorite glasses. Would this phone be a good addition to those? I like the interface and the fact that I can take 3d pictures and videos. I have a Fuji 3d camera which was fine, but too bulky and it is over 15 years old. This phone is a lot cheaper, thinner and most likely has a better quality.
You do not need this when you own a Samsung S24 ? I do not want to carry two large devices. I just want the glasses be used with the S24 and full options. If that is not possible then i will look for other glasses.
So when you are viewing the windows screen, can you see and use your normal mouse connected to the computer? I am a software developer. I have to have a mouse to work and it has to work in windows programs like visual studio.
Could you please let me know if it's possible to turn off the screen when the device is connected to the glasses? I'm interested in conserving battery life, similar to how the screen can be turned off when using Dex. Thank you for your assistance.
Because they need to sell you more stuff ) But completely agree. I am Mac user, and nebula app for Mac is just a virtual device recording your screen from one device and casting to another. Hence the visible lag
does this gives you options to put the screen a little further? Im having issues to see the borders when wearing the glasses for gaming which annoys me. I have the regular beam and I can make it closer but not further...

Because i bought the beam back when it came out, you can get a $50 coupon at least right now on this. I used it to order the model with the 256gb storage, like a week ago. Your video is the first one I've seen that talked in depth about it. The people from XREAL sead in a video, that is they have one with cellular, but the $199 to $249 price was to good. I didn't see the point, at least for me. I have a phone already. Oh i did see one other video earlier, but that guy only focused on the camera, even calling it a 3D camera and not what it is, a multimedia system. I also found on my end, my phone doesn't like downloading movies in a high enough quality for my phone screen, and not a 100+ inch screen. I'm hoping this will fix that problem, and I'll use it more.
The problem of all those new devices are the leak of vision. This device its restricted to that brand glasses. Why I buy that if i dont got the glasses? what would be the benefit? a 3rd 180° lens could be something specific to create vr content and request only an extra lens. tons of elements needed on AR and VR. But the device is not even a phone, its an accesory a $200 accessory...
Hey there! As a hardware solution, DP In is not a feature of Beam Pro. With the full suite of Android 14 and Google Play Store, many apps are available to help screen mirror content from other devices onto Beam Pro, like PS Remote Play through the official PlayStation App and Remote Play through the official Xbox App, and myriad PC screen mirroring options. We will continue to support Beam and functionality that many customers love, like how it helps them connect to handheld gaming consoles and other devices. Beam remains a great option for many people. For others who want to download their favorite game streaming apps or screen mirroring apps, we're giving them the simplest solution for that in Beam Pro.
I don't know. I use the original xreal on my samsung phone using Dex. It's an absolute game changer with Dex. I like the Dex desktop. The nebula environment looks a little janky. If you have Samsung phone the xreal glasses are a home run by themselves. This relatively inexpensive accessory may be worth trying.

Why in the name of Jiminy Christmas did they not just offer a USB-C splitter so we can run this kind of app on our existing Android phone? I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra AND the Xreal Air 2 Pro set. Why would I want to ALSO have to buy a much cheaper, crappier phone to use separately? 3D "spatial" photos were a gimmick that were deemed unnecessary and not "part of the future" that people couldn't live without, over a decade ago. I got the xreal and beam (amateur). I was REALLY excited... and I ended up returning them the next day. There's a lot of positive press for these, but I do feel like it's a lot of sponsored content. They are impressive for what they are, but for $400-500, they really needed to be a lot better. You're not going to be blown away by AR features... These are very much media consumption devices. And if you have designs on using them for virtual monitors, just know the FOV is really limited and makes screen work a challenge. The best way I can describe it is that it doesn't feel like a 200in (or whatever they claim) screen, it feels like a very small screen floating right in front of your eyeballs. I didn't think I would feel that difference, but I definitely did.

In regard to the Nebula application, due to the smartphone manufacturers' limitations for optimization and battery management in the Android system, some features of the Nebula application are restricted when the screen is locked. Therefore, the Nebula application is required to remain in an unlocked state while running on a phone. I have the air 2 pros and original beam but the 1080p is missing from the original beam sideloaded apps so I'm going for this but wondering if you have tried Sky Go, I got a version on the original that allowed playback without a drm issue, I would like to know if this works with sky go and doesn't have the drm black screen.
Hello! Thank you for this comment. XREAL Beam Pro comes with the Google Play Store installed out of the box, so you will be able to download streaming applications onto the device. XREAL Beam Pro also has Widevine L1 Certification, which allows for fast, smooth streaming.
@XREAl_Tech_Support doesn't work as external output is blocked by sky and the version that works with the original beam doesn't work with the pro, this is a step backwards, I'm going to keep using the original beam and hope you fix the pro so it works soon before the return window closes as I will have to return this in it's current state
Ok, So I had the Xreal Air 2 Ultra & the Beam Pro for a few days thoughts:
Model Xreal X4000, Android 14
Battery 4300mAh, 4 x ARM Cortex-A55 @1.80 GHz, 4 x ARM Cortex A55 @2.21 GHz
8 Cores, 3 Threads
Resolution 1080 x 1140 pixels, 300 DPI (Per Eye)
I am impressed with the field of view of view but in future models they are going to need to raise their game in this respects.
Cause the beam isn't for connect windows pc wirlessly. If you want to see your pc screen you there either way so just connect to the pc than.
But only 3.5 hours battery??
Literally just make it a little thicker with 8-10 hours battery so we do not need powerbanks.
Also when the battery degrades eventually, it wont even have 3.5 hours..
This needs to all be done on your phone. This is crazy.
Does Xreal Beam pro have type C to hdmi in or only the Xreal Beam the old one?
How good would it be for navigation if I were to use it connected to my mobile hot spot
creating a salutation to it's own created problem
So when you are viewing the windows screen, can you see and use your normal mouse connected to the computer? I am a software developer. I have to have a mouse to work and it has to work in windows programs like visual studio.
Could you please let me know if it's possible to turn off the screen when the device is connected to the glasses? I'm interested in conserving battery life, similar to how the screen can be turned off when using Dex. Thank you for your assistance.
Nice review. Weird haters in the comments. People really need to get a life
Why can’t they just give us a nebula app for IPhones. We got the
usb-c slot now.
Because they need to sell you more stuff ) But completely agree. I am Mac user, and nebula app for Mac is just a virtual device recording your screen from one device and casting to another. Hence the visible lag
It’s on android
does this gives you options to put the screen a little further? Im having issues to see the borders when wearing the glasses for gaming which annoys me.
I have the regular beam and I can make it closer but not further...
tanks, this was an excellent review. better than many I have come across.
Beam Phone Calls & Texting : yes , you can make phone calls using the beam .. you can use WhatsApp , Messenger , Google Voice, Google Meets , and many other apps to make phone calls and video phone calls ..
You just need to be concerned to WiFi or some type of Data Connection .. 👍🏾😁
I have bought the Air 2 pro. It works fine with Dex. Friend told me not to get the normal Beam, because it's buggy and overheats a lot. I wonder if this new one is any better. I would also love android application that could create virtual multi monitor space.
Good idea product but I’m concerned about the beam pro ,the most important part is the heart, before that we’ve our iPhone 15 or Samsung 24 ,we’ve enough power to run all those apps with no hesitation, but now ,cost 200 something can get you what…that’s what I’m worried
Hey there! Would you be able to clarify a bit more so that we can help you? Are you referring to the heat?
I am actually looking to replace my old phone. Can i make phone calls with this? does it have gps?
The guy literally says this is not a phone in the beginning of the video.
xreal rep commented saying that there will be a 5g model. but no release date
@@raeedibnzaman1it is basically a phone though, lol. They will laugh 5G version and it will support SIM-cards.
I do not want to hate on the product, but all of it could be just an app, yet they made a separate device. This is such a bad trend, look at Rabbit ChatGPT thing. Man, wtf is going on.
FINALLY!!! Why did it take them so long to connect to the Google Play app store?! Wish this had been done the whole time.
Did the device have GPS? To navigate with gmaps on the bicycle?
Hey there! While the Wi-Fi version of Beam Pro does not have built-in GPS, it can still obtain location information through Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot, allowing you to use navigation applications like Google Maps. The 5G version will support GPS.
@@XREAL_Global when is the realese Date of the 5g Model?

Can you use SteamLink with it to play games with fixed position of the screen (not following your heads’ movement) ?

Shouldn't this be an app?
YES. Like why wouldn't a foldable or flagship not be able to power the Air 2/Air 2 Ultra just as smoothly?

Just use samsung with Dex and have external battery instead of this. It is completely pointless to take with you another almost phone device. All can be an app instead of a separate device.

2 questions how large of a microSD card and how to get the 50.00 upgrade discount
@@mauricejohnson6663 up to 1TB!
@@XREAL_Global I think it is a fantastic step forward and will probably buy one for my Xreal glasses. I just have a couple of questions.
1. Do the 3d photos work with the original xReal glasses?
2. Can we setup 3 screens if we download the Nebula app?
3. Can I run my Samsung Note 9 through the beam pro to access Nebula? (this old phone can't run the Nebula app but it is still a media powerhouse)
Thanks
@@mauricejohnson6663 Hello. thank you for your comment.
XREAL Beam Pro supports up to 1T of storage via microSD. The discount can be applied to those who purchased the first-generation Beam via the XREAL webstore or Amazon.
Thank you for the feedback! We have a 5G version that will be released shortly. We hope you have a great time with your Beam Pro!
i have ordered this and an air2. just one question a sim be added to it.
Hello. Thank you for your question. XREAL Beam Pro has two variants, a WiFi only version and a 5G & WiFi version.
@XREAl_Tech_Support ok how do you knownwhich one I have.
can we see some sample photos taken out of the camera without any instagram or youtube compression artifacts?
The problem of all those new devices are the leak of vision. This device its restricted to that brand glasses. Why I buy that if i dont got the glasses? what would be the benefit? a 3rd 180° lens could be something specific to create vr content and request only an extra lens. tons of elements needed on AR and VR. But the device is not even a phone, its an accesory a $200 accessory...
i have for the moment the rokid max, does it worth the upgrade ?
Forgot to meantion the most used feature of the Beam having a display input with 3DOF is gone, no more video input.
Does the Beam Pro work with Viture glasses?
Hello. As XREAL Beam Pro was developed to pair with our line of Augmented Reality glasses for an impressive and captivating visual experience, we do not recommend using XREAL Beam Pro with glasses from other brands.
@@XREAl_Tech_Support Thanks for your reply! That is perfectly reasonable, I understand the Beam Pro was developed for XReal glasses specifically.
I'm just curious what functionality would be lost if it were used with another brand's glasses. If it works fully or with some limits to functionality, maybe XReal could boost sales of the Beam Pro by introducing other AR glasses users to the XReal ecosystem. Just a thought.
it also works with the Xreal Air 1?
So it does what dex already does for us samsung users? I just use dex and the splitter thing, to charge and use the glasses
i'm getting it. the only thing is the video qaulity of oppenheimer looked like the crap amazon gives you when they don't approve. It's supposedly approved so maybe it was only the recording
I'm just confused he didn't mention the 3dof features which is the actual point of the whole device.

Good morning !
I have a question. When selecting the display mode, is it still possible to adjust the screen size and distance? Thanks in advance ! 😗
Hello. Thank you for your question.
XREAL Beam Pro has adjustable spatial display modes to choose from and you will be able to adjust the size and distance.
Basically the quest split into multiple parts
Can this pair with other XR glasses?
I would consider buying just for the 3d camers.
How long does the battery last?
And how fast does it charge?
Hello! Thank you for your question.
XREAL Beam Pro has a 4300mAh battery and supports fast wired charging.
It will take 30 minutes can charge up to 69% capacity, 69 minutes can charge up to 100%.
It will require a 27W or higher power adapter to access fast charging.
SBS video and photos. Can you watch them on normal 3d TV?
Hey there! Would you be referring to the video content recorded on Beam Pro? You can move your spatial videos from Beam Pro to other devices and view them in 3D if the new device supports the same file format and plays side-by-side 3D.
@@XREAL_Global Yes. Thx for answer. One more. Can you use it as player - conect it to TV by usbc to Hdmi?

Why in the name of Jiminy Christmas did they not just offer a USB-C splitter so we can run this kind of app on our existing Android phone?
I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra AND the Xreal Air 2 Pro set. Why would I want to ALSO have to buy a much cheaper, crappier phone to use separately?
3D "spatial" photos were a gimmick that were deemed unnecessary and not "part of the future" that people couldn't live without, over a decade ago. We don't care. Nobody asked for it and nobody seems to want it.
There is one. They made and adapter
Is it possible to know the date when it will be on sale on Amazon ?
We'll be announcing that soon, so keep your eyes peeled on our social media!
This is the complete technology of mobile computing. A smartphone with display glasses
Can the Beam Pro be used as a webcam?
This could be future of MR. Your smartphone powered VR glasses.
Indeed! And to top it off, your phone can do what it does and the XREAL Beam Pro will power your AR experiences, achieving Application isolation.
Thank you for the thorough feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. We hope that you are able to try our products again in the future!
Very interesting product.
Thanks! Will you be trying it out?
Could I download the PS remote play app onto it and use it to play my PS5 remotely? Would the Controller connect to the beam via Bluetooth as well?

As XREAL Beam Pro does not have DP in, we can recommend utilizing the first-generation Beam to connect to Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck for 3DoF experiences.
I own the original Beam and rarely use it, mainly because it's a fussy, over glorified battery pack that has a fan because it runs so hot. I rarely use the Beam and Xreal knows this and offered a $50 off code to upgrade. I ordered it and have some high hopes for when it finally arrives.

Can i turn off the screen on the on the device when im in the glass. Nebula app on phones will not work if screen is turned off
Hello. Thank you for your comment.
In regard to the Nebula application, due to the smartphone manufacturers' limitations for optimization and battery management in the Android system, some features of the Nebula application are restricted when the screen is locked. Therefore, the Nebula application is required to remain in an unlocked state while running on a phone.
We have implemented system-level optimizations on XREAL Beam Pro, allowing it to run while the screen is locked. In this state, the screen will remain black and locked to prevent accidental touches.
Why is is not also a phone?
Please review Moondrop MIAD 01. A whole new type of device.
