    Brilliant - I was struggling to get a decent foam, first time I tried this instant success.

    For those who like a foam, put in less milk, have the tip just on the surface. When it gets to the stage when its sipping out, lower the lever to 1-4 capabilities, and sink in the wand. Move the jug around for 30 sec and you will get a foam on top for your chocolate powder.

    For the life of me I cannot get this right on the Breville express. A tiny bit above surface and I end up with too much foam. A tiny bit below and I get no texture at all.

    Do you know how many videos I saw before reaching to your video and all of them not helping me! It could be because they made it so difficult for beginner people which they want to learn how to froth the milk in breville pro machine.. now finally and after watching your technique, I do it and very happy with it. Thank you alot😍🥰

    Once you finished steaming the milk, you wiped and purged the wand; is that enough of a cleaning? Am I supposed to do anything more than that for the wand on a daily basis?

  • @ameliabuns4058

    mine puts out a bit of water out too

    I believe my wand for my barista express is not throwing enough steam; how can this be adjusted or sent off to get fixed? I've had it a week. It really just heats up the milk with little texture, (not enough for latte art), which is the texture I like.

    • @hansbockler
      @hansbockler 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine is doing the same. Did you ever find a solution?

    When I try to steam milk on my 870 it just heats it up. I get the hissing sound and then bury the wand and get a good whirlpool. I don't know what I'm doing wrong fi just always get poor results with little to no microfoam

      I cannot do it either with my Breville 870. As I looked closely to the video, my steam wand doesn't make the same 'steam cloud'...

    • @anthonyr3624
      @anthonyr3624 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@catvaganay3237 mine either, its slight steam and more heat. which is why we dont get the desired frothing i believe as well.

      do the frothing first, watch as the milk volume increases and keep the wand just slightly above the milk surface, then move the jug down to continue foaming, once you have your foam, move the jug up to heat the milk.
      do the frothing before reaching 60 deg C and use chilled milk

      I can’t do it either on my Breville express

  • @KG-oy5dc
    @KG-oy5dc 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Which brevivlle do you own? Mine takes a good 15-20 seconds for the wand to heat up and it’s not as powerful as yours

    • @maronthehill
      @maronthehill 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Move the wand up and down and try to lower the harsh hissing sound. Sometimes the wand needs to be completely pulled out of the milk a little bit to let the steam fully ejected, without resistance. It should be basically quiet. The quieter it is, the stronger the steam. You should be able to get rid of the harsh sound in 5 seconds. When it gets quieter it does the job.

    When referring to the 2 cup milk frothing process, the instructions are to use a 600ml jug, and then "split the milk in half before pouring the two beverages" - what on earth does that mean? I would have guessed that you pour half the milk into each cup, but the wording suggests something else.

    • @darkraven6800
      @darkraven6800 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      What you guessed is correct. Most of the froth ends up on the top so if you pour half in another jug after frothing allows you to hopefully get microfoam in both cups.

    • @thecasethatmakesgoodsounds
      @thecasethatmakesgoodsounds 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@darkraven6800 dude his comment was from 7 years ago lol. Splitting the milk in half means pouring out the milk to another jug, then using each jug for pouring on separate cups. Doing this splits the microfoam in half and allows you to do latte art in both cups.

      Problem maybe solved. After experimenting around, almond milk, brand blue diamond seems to be so far the easiest to froth with this machine.

    • @Chris-bm5qd
      @Chris-bm5qd 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah - I have the Infuser, and it's terrible at it's hopeless as well. Too week to get good micro foam. Seattle coffee gear has a few videos demoing these machines, and they never end up with latte art quality foam. Ef Breville.

    Nice but thats why I have the Breville milk cafe so I won't have to hold it and I am able to add ingredients while its frothing.

    We have a Breville BES870XL/A and we are seriously struggling with the coconut milk frothing process. We applied your technic and got a much better texture but still NO foam.. any more advice?

    • @rosiebarker8907
      @rosiebarker8907 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Jerome! Any milk, whether it is dairy or plant based, must contain at least 6g of protein to achieve any amount of quality micro foam. There are 'barista blends' available in coconut, almond and soy, but they can be expensive.
