The basic color of the voices of generally the same… if you listen closer you can hear how much she sounds like the sister though the sister is lighter… actually if you go to videos of the sister from 2005/6 you’ll realise she was not a light soprano at all.
I know. Pretty has a voice like a bright crystal. This voice is so velvety and dark. It just shows how much variety there can be, even within the same voice type.
So many gorgeous voices coming from South Africa at the moment. So much beauty amidst all the devastation in that country. Makes me deeply sad… and joyous to hear there is some hope amongst such remarkably talented people.

Such a graceful singer..she’s obviously still young but wow she’s brave! This aria is not easy especially in a competition setting and she’s definitely top 5 in my list of performances of Casta Diva. I can’t wait to hear more of her in the near future. I hope she keeps working on that beautiful voice ❤ love her

She's been listening to Callas. She does a lovely job, thought the florid passages between the two versus are rather smudged. Overall, a lovely rendition.
Her vowels are not right and this role is not for a lyric (even if full) soprano. It’s for a drammatico d’agilità. This voice is more of a Mimi, Liu, Marguerite or even Violetta if she works on her coloratura.
Oh please! She gave a flawless and beautiful delivery. She has a rich voice with a beautiful tone. It took years of practice, practice, practice and dedication, sacrifice and commitment! I love her voice. Bravo! 🌹
