Love the build bro! I'm debating swapping a k into my e39 530i with the zf5. Did you have to do anything to your steering rack or subframe to clear the motor? Also, i've heard the stock oil pans on the k are not baffled correctly for a longituginal setup have you modified the pan in any way?
Swap it 👌🏻. Subframe I modded so motor can sit lower and further back. . Oil pan I did nothing . Also haven’t notice any oil pressure drops with hard Cornering
@@thataussietommy Would love to, just checking parts availability before committing. An appropriate gearbox is the biggest issue so far. Not many available in Aus and the ones I did find are crazy $$$$.

Oil pan is standard and I moved the rack forward 35mm
How much did it cost? looking to get an e36 for cheap and do this same swap

am i able to swap my e36 with a k24 with a s5d 200g trans ? and do i need an adapter plate for trans and motor
You need adapter plate for any gearbox. PMC motorsports is where I bought it from

Customs alloy welding. I got a blank 4cyl plenum and welded myself .
