An epic, classic car, worth big money…so much so, it has a swapped Honda engine. No shade though! (absolutely no question I’d rather have this than an S14.)
is this for racing so you meat the class as its still 2.3 4 pot you can beat on it all season and be able to repair or replace/service the engine ? easier to find bits ? its making the same power and costs about the same as the BMW S14 engine if you had built one .. just if you break one it would be horrible to try find one ...
Luv k20/k24 swaps but they need boost - stock e30 making that torque and almost power- easy achieved w bolt ons. Weight is huge but k24 needs boost to make a actual improvement over even m50/s54 swaps..
You're not making k20/24 power from any of the factory E30 engines with just bolt ons. There's people running stroked and cammed M20 engines on ITB's are barely making 250 at the flywheel. K24 is almost 100kg less than an M50/S54 and an S54 engine is stupid money nowadays. Really no comparison. For the money you'd spend S54 swapping you'd make way more power boosting the K series for similar money. Don't even get me started on an S14. And a non-M engine is just going to be slower. S54 is the only one worth it in my opinion because it's still a special engine but then you Americans literally only care about power and racing in straight lines. You're still keeping up with an S54 swap with a K20/24 frank.
@@B__L you’re right about everything you said but you’re wrong about one thing, US Americans don’t always care about straight line racing only! The bottleneck is the intake manifold as well. In the 300+ whp range, you typically need something different from the usual RBC or RRC style intakes, something more like an ITB setup, ported skunk2 ultrarace, and such.
makes about the same power also there is also the 2.5 evo engine .. maybe they have the original motor preserved so they can just beat on the car and not worry I would hate to break a real BMW S14 engine
Honda should have built an inline 6...
Fuck man imagine that… Ohh well you’ve got a guy that’s mirrored it & is producing a K48 👌🏽
Awesome that would be. But would that ever work in FWD setups... That's virtually all Honda makes.
Yes i6 and a v8 and v10
That 3 min mark is some good info. Pretty much sums up tuning in a couple minutes. Awesome!

should also ditch that intake tube go 4" and have it turn down proven to flow alot more. could be bottlenecking the flow

Great tuner. He tuned my 2.3T Merkur around 6 years ago.
Slap a turbo on that and it’s making some serious jam 🔥
That tiny intake tube get you a 4”

They don’t need boost! A k24/20 set up will make 320whp naturally aspirated with a street set up easily, especially with itb’s and e85

Beautiful numbers for a Californian 91 daily driven K...
with a 4piston engine... the amount they cost.. i would ditch the hondata and just go standalone.
Sweet!!
There is a mustang waiting for you 🤣
How come you run the LH hub on the RH side? I'm only curious and know nothing about Dyno tuning....
shots rk tune is crazy
This is a nice looking e30 m3! I love the wheel and tire set up! What wheels are those?
I gotta ask the owner, he has a few sets.
I thought they were bbs
These are Jongbloed wheels. custom built wheel for my set up.
Messaged you on Facebook. I am needing to get my e30 M3 tuned.
That is stock k24a2 + dc d.i.c. type of power you got there. Why even bother tuning it on 91?
Per request from owner because he wants it as a regular car
These are good numbers considering once you factor in the rwd drivetrain loss and still on 91 pump
K24 plus 2 turbo.. you can fly dude...

Very disappointing power gain for K24. Normally you can slap on a turbo and get 500HP.
Why,why,why
except now it sounds way worse
As if s14s sound much better
How is the setup running rwd Ks seem to be blowing up alot
👌🏽
no disrespect but 250 whp out of a $10000 engine is subpar. unopened k20's with e85 will make that.
i don't think this car was about hp/$, otherwise they would've boosted a stock unopened k24 and get 450/500hp reliably
@@oussama4629 i guess makes sense
Yeah definitely disappointing, but the 91 octane is killing it. 93 would probably make another 10+ whp, and e85 easily 30+.
