- This week we are joined by two of the most naturally gifted bass anglers on the planet. John Cox and Keith Carson are both Bassmaster Classic qualifiers. However, they did not start on top. These two childhood friends have been turning heads at tournaments ever since they could legally tow their janky Jon Boat to the ramp. Forged from 15 years of skipping school and faking sick days to chase bass, their friendship has weathered the highs and lows of tournament fishing. Awesome show man! Randy would lose his mind if John put live scope on his boat which makes me want him to do it even more lol. But as far as that goes what’s the difference between watching someone scope bass compared to how it was years ago ledge fishing or small mouth fishing in the open water. Only difference I can tell is they’re looking at a screen. Just my thoughts on it. Keep it up Dave!

The ELITES not using butt seats cracks me up! I have spent many hours on the front deck of a bass boat, and there are days that I would never have fished up there without a lean seat, especially on LSC and Erie
I would pay double the marshal registration Classic fee if I were guaranteed to ride with John or Keith at any level or tour event! They’re my best friends I’ve never had, I bet they know it too. Because those are just genuine great dudes. Everyone who is fortunate enough to be friends with them already how lucky they are. I had a friend who was a cross between the two of them…. I miss him every minute. RIP, Plank!

Oh wow crazy I have similar head injury stories too many to count actually and yes I blame all my quirks and inadequacies on them lol
I’m still not convinced that forward facing sonar increases most anglers success. If 80% are using it and win 75% of the event the bank beaters are actually more effective. These two prove that old school still works.
Hold strong John we love you don’t use forward sonar or spot lock, that’s what separates you!
