    It would have been nice to see how you got it off of the dishwasher door!

      It aint easy lots of little plasic clips to break while trying to disassemble it. This of course varies from model to model

    You might try what I did... simply douse the dispenser with plenty of white vinegar and let it soak for an hour. After one wash cycle the door was operating correctly again!

    I need to test the selenoid on a kitchenaid dishwasher without removing the unit from the door but don't know the voltage to apply. what did you use to activate yours? could the selenoid be replaced as an individual part if needed? Thanks for sharing your experience.

    The lid of my the detergent compartment came off. Just need to know how to put back on (where does the spring go). Any help would be appreciated.

    "Just clean it out, that's all you gotta do!!".... after you take the door off and take it apart to get to where you can clean it out.

      Yeah, right. No shade on him, but the world's worst design. I hope the design engineer was fired for this. Or at least terribly embarrassed. I would have given back my degree if I had tried to sell this idea to the product team. Challenge accepted - I will re-engineer this so I don't have to tear the thing apart once a year to clean.

    Can you show how you removed the soap dispenser ?

    This exact piece, how do you reinstall the seal under the soap door? Or at least how to remove the sliding door to get to the seal for replacement?

    I came here looking for instructions for taking apart the door to replace the dispenser. Nope!

    How much voltage supplied for testing operation?

    • @neogeo8267
      @neogeo8267 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Likely too much. This unit may or may not actually work once re-installed in the machine.
      This part should not fail - it's super low duty cycle. It's just a bad design. Shame on you, GE.
