I'm in my 70's and we use to do this sort of stuff way back when and it was called old school you learnt to repair stuff instead of just going out and buying a new one.
I think he is smarter than most of you give him credit. He’s not intending to use that dull old saw,he’s making a video to show the possibilities of a creative mind. Well done my friend.
Kreatif bagus sekali ide nya dari sebuah paralon menjadi gagang gergaji mantap dan hasil nya oun enak fi genggam kaya nya simple lagi.keren bang sukses sehat terus dan tetap semngat berkarya aamiin
Am I the only one who gets scary when I see no shoes on everyone there? 😕 great way to teach people on TH-cam. I do like the fix, I'm not a total asshole! Just be safe.
How much time did you spend fabricating a homemade handle? How much is your labor worth? How much would a new saw cost at a local big box store? After all that labor, you still have a saw blade that is rusty, pitted, and dull.
IT HAPPENED TO MY VINTAGE SAW AND I USED 7/8 INCH PLYWOOD AND REPLACED THAT WOODEN HANDLE. MORE STRONGER AND WONT TEAR APART. THEN REPLACED THE BOLTS WITH ALUMINUM RIVETS. I KNOW THAT THE MATERIAL YOU ARE USING ARE NOT FOR TOO MUCH TIME AHEAD.
This is à good example of do what you can with what you have. I am afraid the metal blade is beyond repair, tho. The rusty, pitted surface will not allow it to slide through the cut, and grinding the teeth like this has dulled them more, probably making it impossible to use.

Hola
We all did. That’s when your time was considered worthless.
should have put self-locking washers on the nuts
Awesome video! The detailed and creative instructions make it easy to fix an old saw at home. Thank you for sharing this useful tip!
I loved how he uses his toes as clamps , brilliant 😊😊😊
Good thing his safety boots/shoes had holes in the end 😂 (safety first)
Great way to recycle ♻️ and very cool idea
Un invento sencillo pero genial muchas gracias
it will work that is all that counts..!! Bravo..!!
Gramps used to sit and hand sharpen his old saws tedious work but always remember they cut great

I don't know..... He said first step was disassembling old chainsaw.
Wait that was step 2
Good idea 💡👍
Best Idea 👌👍
You make it look so easy! I’m going to try this out this weekend!
Other than not using washers with the nuts, great fix!
Great work! In this case I would have faithfully and carefully glued that beautiful old handle back together.
Muito bom ❤😮😮😊

Such a creative solution
Beautiful Design
Your mind is technical but your hands is not technical
This is genius! I've got an old saw lying around that I’ve been meaning to fix. Gonna try this DIY trick this weekend. 🔨
Dobrá práce 👍👍👍
Nicely done!! I would also add some thread locker on the threads and you're done. 👍😁
Amigo que serviço maravilhoso . Parabéns!
Bom trabalho!!!
Vc é um gênio parabéns.
Great job 👏
You just took the set out of your saw by grinding the sides of the cutting edge.
Excelente !!!

The safety level is at high standards here! 🧐
Terima kasih ide kreatif buat kami pekerja kayu ya, mantap 👍👍👍
Good idea , hand should be secure and firm to handle 👍
Might want to use washers on each side, those screws will wear through quickly.
Bravo Mastery )))) 😊😊😊
GASTEI MUITO LEGAL
Ayos Ganda ng gawa
Ide yang sangat cerdas 😮😮
Educational video but too much noise in the background
i have got good hand saws and i have not used any of them for over 40 years. i am not worried about fixing them.
Then don't.
My only suggestion would be lock washers under the nuts.
Muy bien gracias
bien vu bravo !
Wow! Amazing idea it very usefull
What’s with the hinge on the grinder?

Show de bola Rj Brasil
The Dutch use to make wooden shoes. Maybe you can make a pair of PVC shoes. Safety glasses are a must when using tools that spin at 16,000 RPM.
You could add a piece of dowel rod in the opening it would make it a bit stronger
Kak..... Gimana cara gigi gergaji tua biar tajam......
Josafa betin mg muito bom
Parabéns bora billllllllll
W0w very good
That’s gonna wobble and take you hours to cut a simple 2x4
Did mine a lot quicker had a piece of oak board cut the shape I wanted and made a new handle took about 10 minutes to sand and shape.
Mantap 👍😄
Muito bom,
Why use glass to flatten the pvc, was it just to be able to see the bend?
Why did you use glass to flatten the pvc? Dangerous if the glass breaks. Of course using an electric grinder with no guards is even worse.
Amazing
I was just waiting for the glass to shatter, and the guy's hands get shredded.
Bit oil on the saw blade would help a bit to keep it clean and get the rust off it
Where in the hell are those shoes

Genggaman GK nyaman,akan terasa sakit
If you want it to last use schedule 40 instead of 20.
Eselente mui vien el video
