I did the swap and I looked fantastic as a woman. So, I made a meme saying, " When your wife tells you to go fuck yourself. " With my photo swapped face. My wife and friends thought it was funny.
..and nearly had it blow up in his face, but because he a) wasn't hurting anyone, and b) came away knowing more about himself and adding to the chorus who say gender norms should be taken as suggestions, not laws, he turned what could have been a disaster into a wholesome, thought-provoking lesson everyone can learn from, especially with all the garbage thrown at and laws and rhetoric threatening the lives people are trying to live in a way they can feel comfortable in.
It worked in this one case because in the end, he was being genuine, using the platform to express who he was and explore another side of himself, and just genuinely trying to share his passion with the world in any way he can, which people could see. When he was caught, he owned up to it and was open and honest with his followers, and even then, in any other situation people would've raked him over the coals if they were just falling for the thirst traps. The fact that so many of his followers stuck by him and he got even more popular after what could otherwise be a creator-ending reveal tells you that they weren't there for the pretty face, but the person behind the account.
Nakajimas story resonates with me alot. I'm doing the exact same thing on the gaming side of Twitter because initially my account had low interest because gaming is so big When I got "exposed" I owned up to it and let that person know that she's a character and she's not real as soon as he was in my DMs. He was super cool about it.
This guy's actually pretty wholesome. The dedication he put on the ultimately undamageful catfishing just to share his passions for motorcycles is admirable, and the way he was honest about it helped him to mantain his audience, I guess. Monday Late Show actually has a bunch of recurring characters like that. I love that show, I watch it every week.
Fair play to the man for giving it a go, making it work, but then coming clean when he got found out. However, as a hetero dude I would possibly suffer some kind of crisis if it turned out Whang's hair wasn't really his, as it's amazing.
why though? i dont understand how some dudes feel gay over being attracted to a filtered image. isnt it like being attracted to an ai generated image? how does it affect ur heterosexuality at all? its not even real!
Really wholesome to be honest, I'm glad that you pointed out too that this was an opportunity for them to break gender norms and really be who they wanna be! Super cool, great pick for a story!
Definitely a commentary on how a great person with a full personality loving life can get overlooked... until you turn up the beauty factor. And he didn't do it to necessarily make that statement or pull off performance art, it was just something he fooled around with and didn't break any hearts because of it. He didn't bait or fleece his followers for money or fame besides "check out these bike photos, these landscapes."
The scenic images in 3:26 is better imo. The one with the bike and volcano in the background has so much character to it. You can almost make a nice story with it.
Monday Late Show rules. One of the best shows for showing how Japanese people really are. Their recurring characters, especially Fef-nee and Oota are fucking hilarious.

Women aren't real
Isn't there a video where two egirl trolls match on Omegle and the one says in a deep voice way you so ugly bro?
"this thing def won't help you grow as a content creator"
"so let me show you the one documented instance of that thing help them grow their socials"
..and nearly had it blow up in his face, but because he a) wasn't hurting anyone, and b) came away knowing more about himself and adding to the chorus who say gender norms should be taken as suggestions, not laws, he turned what could have been a disaster into a wholesome, thought-provoking lesson everyone can learn from, especially with all the garbage thrown at and laws and rhetoric threatening the lives people are trying to live in a way they can feel comfortable in.
The one documented instance, he says.
In a totally unrelated thought, remember that time Dylan Mulvaney went to the White House?
lol yeah he def tried his best to couch the obvious message of the video as much as possible so as to not appear "problematic"
Dude's pretty nice and wholesome. I'm glad he got a happy ending!
I'm just glad his long hair was real. As a long haired man myself, love to see it :)
Same! His hair is glorious and is an inspiration for someone like me who's growing out his hair.
Can I feel it?
Im finna find you
Long haired bloke gang 🤘
Long hair gang rise up
I’m so happy you covered this!
Nakajimas story resonates with me alot.
I'm doing the exact same thing on the gaming side of Twitter because initially my account had low interest because gaming is so big
When I got "exposed" I owned up to it and let that person know that she's a character and she's not real as soon as he was in my DMs. He was super cool about it.
HAHAAHAH idc if he's an old man. He's having fun and not hurting anyone
This guy is just a genius. He knew exactly what the internet was interested in, and exploited it to show the world just how awesome he truly is.
Fair play to the man for giving it a go, making it work, but then coming clean when he got found out. However, as a hetero dude I would possibly suffer some kind of crisis if it turned out Whang's hair wasn't really his, as it's amazing.
Finding out his hair is a filter I could maybe recover from, but I would be utterly destroyed if we were to find out that his mustache is fake 💔
why though? i dont understand how some dudes feel gay over being attracted to a filtered image. isnt it like being attracted to an ai generated image? how does it affect ur heterosexuality at all? its not even real!
@@aumuamuanakakara9908 It's not about the feelings, it's about the grasp on reality .Also, I was joking.
@@JagerLange i read the first message wrong i am idiot
@@aumuamuanakakara9908 It happens.
He played the game, and he won.
Mad respect.
Belle Delphine: Who are you?
Soya no Sohi: I'm you but stronger.
Him being so cooperative about it all takes a lot of guts! Bless him and hope he’s happy!!!
"I'll just go to the north"
A biker to the heart indeed, I've done that, some of the best experiences in my life.
I remember hearing about this guy's story. I'm not sure if I should be scared or amazed
Why would you be scared?
why be scared? he didn't use it to get money or scam people. he just played with it and he is a wholesome guy.
Scared of talking with anyone online, you never know what's behind the screen
If you know what I mean
@@ZapperRS You just gotta embrace it. Wisdom is wisdom no matter the source.
Straight up the most wholesome story whang has told by far
Really wholesome to be honest, I'm glad that you pointed out too that this was an opportunity for them to break gender norms and really be who they wanna be! Super cool, great pick for a story!
>Sean
>Blaire
I suspect fatherlessness
this made me smile, he is a chill dude!
I gotta respect how he handled and embraced being exposed, it's kinda cool how people still stuck around
It’s so hard to make friends and build community now that people have to do stuff like this. I’m glad it worked out for him
Was about to say: He looks super attractive! Damn, that hair is lovely and his facial structure is very handsome.
Bless this man , he’s doing god’s work
Whang is ROCKIN them lunch lady glasses with no shame! I dig it
i know, hawt
Monday Late Show rules. One of the best shows for showing how Japanese people really are. Their recurring characters, especially Fef-nee and Oota are fucking hilarious.
Do you know where I can find a English subtitle version of it?
@@cherishporter5314 to be honest I don't know. I watch it live on TV in Japan
Great story. A sign of the times :)
I do wonder how things would have worked out 20 years ago....
I’d have never heard of this person before this video but I’m totally supporting them. He seems like a cool dude
That's ended much better than i thought it would, i like when the internet just decides to be wholesome. I kinda admire the guy's motivation for pulling this off too, and i'm glad this actually made him grow as a person.
Love this guy! Such a wholesome story.
i love how wholesome this turned out!
It's only a matter of time till Whang does the same while redoing videos like the swamps of Dagobah
"The story could have ended way way differently." And I'm very glad it didn't. I was pleasantly surprised by both the reaction and the response. Thank you!
This is why you can't trust dating apps. Think you're gonna on a date with some cute girl? Nope it's organ harvesters.
This is one of the best stories you've covered on here Justin, thank you!
Actual women with big online following edit and filter their pics just as much x) Anything that looks perfect isn't real. There's nothing wrong with it in itself, people just need to be more aware of it. This story turned out super sweet !
Women have been using filters ever since make-up was invented. What's funny is you can meet Women online, goto meet them for a date and you couldn't even recognize them.
@@fakename503 hahah yes
"These guys are just coping, now here's a story proving them right."
lol, lmao even
Well that turned out to be a surprisingly wholesome one. Good for him!
Serves Japan right for all the "your princess is in another castle" bs.
This is like a real-life Yakuza substory.
So wholesome. The world needs more love.
I think the most surprising thing about this story is how amazing his hair is!
good on him. this is trolling social media to its core
At 8:16 Justin says “Yeesh” when the original image for the thirst trap is shown but in all honesty he looks pretty good for a guy his age, and pretty healthy/active too.
that's what i was thinking! i'm a lesbian and even i can tell this guy is very good looking.
love these wholesome tales as of late
I believe it wasn’t a negative thing because he wasn’t trying to gain anything from the account like wasn’t pushing a product or scam just wanted to share a love of motorcycles pure as a mountain stream
What an unexpectedly wholesome and lovely story. I love this guy.
Tv program that first interviewed him shoulda asked what conditioner he used cause wow that’s a good ass weave Soya dANG
A similar event happened in China where a Middle aged woman used face filters to appear younger and stream games, only after they got outed they abandoned the account due to irl pressure dispite it boosting the popularity
Someone at work with a picture app that makes you look like a female sent me a picture of myself. I kept reciting lines from "Silence of The Lambs" the rest of the day. Now I get it. The metamorphosis.
Would you do me? I'd do me.
That got deep quickly.
It puts the skin or it gets the lotion

Surprisingly wholesome! Nice job!
Now a follow-up with whatever caused his divorce and isolation from the entire family would be interesting... has me wondering what went wrong earlier in life because he must still care about them to combine their names for social media stuff.
From what I hear, divorce in Japan is really weird and intense. Children can be split up, and the man is usually considered a social outcast
He admits to motorcycling for weeks at a time with no clear plan.
He probably just wasn't around, his wife got sick of it, and divorced him.
He clearly still spends time with them though.
that private information we are not entitled to
@@kyuven This explanation would make sense in literally any country outside of Japan. Its pretty common there for men to be gone from their homes for weeks on end just going to **work**, where they sometimes have to sleep under their own desks.
Do we know he's isolated? Do we know he doesn't see his kids?
is it just me but i think the dude looks absolutely fabulous. Such unique look.
I like hearing all these internet stories from Japan.

I think he got away with it because this is honestly hilarious.
I love that his hair ended up being real. It's quite majestic!
In these days of being bombarded with constant hate and anger it's refreshing to see some wholesome content.
Edit - its a general comment, not at all saying Whang does that
