The act of honestly owning up to mistakes tends to go over really well with internet personalities. The fans get to see an endearing effort of trying to make amends, while the haters get satisfied with someone taking an L and lose interest. People love a redemption story, and all the new attention can be spun into lasting engagement if the personality in question is a good, humble person.
It's all the more telling that quite a few personalities would rather delay and deny. Really gives us insight into who those people really are.

I am a trans man. Before I transitioned, I was a conventionally attractive woman with a decent social group and internet following. I wasn't an influencer by any means, but I was a writer, and had a small but dedicated following.
Regardless, photos of myself always fared much better than those of my photography or text posts sharing snippets of writing.
Not only did I lose my entire following, but many people told me I was "ugly" now and that I "ruined myself."
You can chalk that up to transphobia, sure.

Now a follow-up with whatever caused his divorce and isolation from the entire family would be interesting... has me wondering what went wrong earlier in life because he must still care about them to combine their names for social media stuff.

From what I hear, divorce in Japan is really weird and intense. Children can be split up, and the man is usually considered a social outcast

He admits to motorcycling for weeks at a time with no clear plan.
He probably just wasn't around, his wife got sick of it, and divorced him.
He clearly still spends time with them though.

@@kyuven This explanation would make sense in literally any country outside of Japan. Its pretty common there for men to be gone from their homes for weeks on end just going to **work**, where they sometimes have to sleep under their own desks.

Not exactly the same thing but I remember how the original female mascot for Ridge Racer ended up being swapped with a new female or they just changed the original one because it was found out that the guy who created the character just took his own face and made it look like a woman and that's who's face the character had lol

I think it's just a sad fact that women who enjoy "manly" hobbies are attractive to us because it gives us dudes something to relate to. Most dudes don't care about makeup, girl drama, etc, and most dudes crave social connections on a deeper level.
Also biker chicks are hot. That helps.

Monday Late Show rules. One of the best shows for showing how Japanese people really are. Their recurring characters, especially Fef-nee and Oota are fucking hilarious.
