LIVE | Bolivian General Arrested On Live TV As Coup Attempt Fails, President Arce Thanks Citizens

A coup d'etat attempt in Bolivia was orchestrated which later failed and the military leaders were arrested on live television. Bolivian President Luis Arce faced down the coup attempt on June 27 as the armed forces withdrew after occupying the central square in La Paz and entering the presidential palace. Arce a former economy minister in the government won election in 2020 after a period of deep political turmoil. A ballot the year before was marred by allegations of fraud, which sparked widespread protests and the eventual resignation of then-President Evo Morales. Watch the video for details.
