  • What makes your electric toothbrush work?
What makes your smartphone screen switch back to vertical?
How are crashes detected so your airbags can protect you?
It takes semiconductors to make all this possible. Without them, our daily life would be completely different.
Take a look at what Nicole Scott, video journalist and co-founder of “Mobile Geeks”, found out when visiting our semiconductor factory in Reutlingen, Germany.

super amazing! whow I love it. Although I don't have a knack for Stem subjects and I am more likely to be subject to unemployed if robots replace humanity, I still adore this kind of extraordinary techonology. I know I'm not good at creating technology but I will try to study to harness the technology! Love you!

The world would be just fine without semiconductors. If transistors were never invented, the vacuum tube (which is more reliable, but more expensive) would continue to shrink and be improved. And don't forget that widespread personal computers were rare as recently as the 80s, and computers in general were rare as recently as the 60s. Computers and the internet are really just a fad, based off cheap relevant minerals, much the same as fossil fuel cars are only a thing because at the moment, oil exists.

This, like many things, is mind-boggling for me. I can't wrap my head around how another person, just as human as you or me, made the first semiconductor. Airplanes. Flying into space. Splitting an atom. The theory of relativity. Learning about the human body. The brain. Like how did another human just like any other human, discover things like this, even things that the eye can't see? It's mind-boggling. It's hard to believe that I am the same species as the creators or people that discover this kind of stuff. So there's people that create semiconductors or discover synapses in the brain, yet here I am forgetting to put the laundry in the dryer while people out there are discovering new stars 😂.. and tiny chips made from sand to run Electronics or heavy machinery. Like how did they know to go gather some sand instead of coffee grinds? I hope You all get the gist of what I'm saying.

you explain nicely and in factory you tell them about semiconductor and how you dream and after sleeping time. nice video
