Taiwan's Industrial and Overall Economic Strength. Many people are unaware of the industrial and overall economic strength of Taiwan today. Taiwan has a well-developed technology and manufacturing sector. It is ranked first in the world in semiconductor chip manufacturing, first in the world in ICT equipment manufacturing, third in the world in machinery and components manufacturing, third in the world in biotechnology companies, fourth in the world in machine tools, sixth in the world in chemical plants, and fifth in the world in shipbuilding tonnage. Taiwan's aerospace industry is also ranked sixth in the world in terms of output. Taiwan is also the world's largest and most technologically advanced carbon fiber composite material OEM, with applications ranging from tennis rackets and bicycles to aircraft components. Taiwan has many companies that are hidden champions in the global manufacturing sector. These companies are at the top of their respective industries, but they are not well-known to the general public. Taiwan has developed its own supercomputers, AI computers, quantum chips, satellites, and has successfully test-fired military space rockets on multiple occasions. In terms of overall technology and manufacturing strength, Taiwan is on par with the United States, Japan, and the EU industrial countries. Taiwan is currently the 20th largest economy in the world, with total foreign investment assets of over $2 trillion. It is the fifth largest foreign investor in the world and the fifth largest net creditor nation. Manufacturing accounts for over 36% of Taiwan's GDP and contributes over 50% to economic growth, the highest in Asia. Taiwan's listed companies invest and set up factories overseas, and their overseas offshore processing and manufacturing import and export trade exceeds $1 trillion each year (most of which is included in Hong Kong's import and export trade figures). The import and export trade of these Taiwanese companies is not included in Taiwan's import and export trade figures. If the import and export trade of Taiwanese companies' overseas factories is included in Taiwan's own import and export trade figures, the total global trade volume of Taiwanese companies will reach $1.9 trillion, surpassing Japan and the Netherlands to become the fourth largest trading power in the world after the United States, China, and Germany. Taiwanese companies' overseas factories have supported the families of hundreds of millions of employees in China, Vietnam, and Southeast Asia. It is estimated that Taiwan will enter the top 20 economies in the world in 2023 based on its own domestic production and manufacturing import and export trade, becoming a member of the G20. Among the G20 countries, Taiwan is the only one with no natural resources, relying solely on manufacturing, and with a population of 23.5 million and the smallest land area.

Yes you can’t produce the best semiconductor chips without ASML machines but there must more to it than simply ASML. In other words maybe the Dutch should give it a try. Or the Americans can simply buy an ASML EUV machine and produce the best semiconductors themselves instead of asking TSMC to open a factory in Arizona.

The whole world needs to pay attention to Taiwan. They are amazing.
They protect green. They protect the environment. They protect the world and make everything beautiful
As a manufacturer for the MGP mold ,lead frame molds ,auto molding system ,trim&form machine,we also find that this industry need to make the progress all the times.
This is a so cool documentary! Go Taiwan!
I did chip design in the 70s when you could physically probe transistors on a chip! I can't get my head around the tiny dimensions of modern devices, but also the ability to design machines that can move things around on those wafers at such anaccuracy.
Very well documented for those who want to understand about the industry. Thank you.
Thank you!
TAIWAN'S MUSIC is awesome to have listened to in the house of pleasant changed.
❤a heart for such a nice documentry purely educational non biased and tecnology lovers. Thank u guys love to see more such from your side. Love from pakistan
Thank you!
I really love how it aims to leave less carbon footprint 👣 , well done taiwan ❤
Beautiful technology by inteligent People of Taiwan.
Greetings from India 😎😎😎😎
i watch alot of videos abot this stuff and this was best one
Thank you! 🥰
This is absolutely amazing
Thank you! Taiwan has also some other mega factories, have you tried Kaoliang liquor? Take a look: th-cam.com/video/EKmOmk5rMdw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IEcddHYZyfTgbPrV
Excellent documentary and educational video on semiconductors

U.S.A SUPPORTS TAIWAN 🇺🇸🇺🇸
🆑own nation 🇺🇸, with 🆑own president
@@sleepyfella Someone said the U.S.A is a clown nation, yet they watch TH-camrs from that same nation.
@@EcstacyEcsence then why doesn't TH-cam stop operating in those nations? Because they are dependent on this nation's population
@@sleepyfella you just don't get
@@sleepyfella you're just a 🤡 who wants to get attention
Beautiful to watch these sophisticated machines do such precision work. Fascinating. [Also, I love TH-cam so much.]

I can't believe that a small country quenches the ic thirst of half the world.
Its really very complicated to understanding...but it's good to gaining knowledge about how semiconductor work and how it made by micron factory.
This Technology chip making..is incredible of saintis engineers crafting 👍
Amazing mind bending pinnacle of innovation, thanks for making this documentary.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Taiwanese are so smart... really awesome
Taiwan is like the future world we usually see on sci fi movies.
Excellent knowledges, talents, works..........Congratulations.............
I'm a R&D engineer, i have dream to work in their fabrication facility
More buildings should adopt planting vegetation on their walls! Such a simple idea, but it drastically improves the appearance of structures which would otherwise be bland/industrial looking.
CONGRATULATION FROM FRANCE !
WHAT A LONG WAY SINCE ALL THE CHINA EMANCIPATION WITH THE OLD AND HORRIFIC EUROPEAN AND ENGLISH OCCUPATION ! RESPECT ❤
台湾已经不是中国的了
Turns out, it's very complicated to make a chip. and this channel is very useful for education👍
I'm sold I am just amazed by cutting edge technology 😲🤯🤗🤞🏻
3:54 what a sick transition, beautiful!
The most beautiful transistor transition I've ever seen
Let’s go $TSM!!
Excellent documentary!

Hey I am from india
and madlely love this job
What qualifications required
Please tell
@@Mr.Tapori it all just depends, there are so many different levels of jobs required to make a fab like this operate. Some technician jobs require no experience and education and some jobs are very elite requiring many years of university and experience. Not to mention all the support jobs outside of fab that are essential for operations. Literally it takes a village to operate a fab….any specific question you have for a certain type of job maybe I can help you better!
Semiconductor engineering is an efficient process that integrates research and development, production, sales, and service. This is what we have been doing all along。❤
I have one word for this video.WOW!
Flawless Documentary!
Thank you so much!
Taiwan is a wonderful country
Much more impressive than the entirety of India
