- The Repentance DLC for The Binding of Isaac added tons of new bosses, but not a single one of them has a champion variant like the vanilla bosses do. This changes now with the "Repentance Boss Champions" Mod by jubbalub, sipher_nil, Blind, the Bound Demon, Warhamm2000, retro100 and Moonshine! It adds a total of 36 Champion forms to the DLC's Bosses which I will showcase in a 2 part video series!

Purple min-min is the hardest boss ever created and red is easier than a pooter, it need some balance changes

Baby plum's variants look like a nightmare to play against in early floors, specially if you're the Lost or T. Lost

This video made me think of an item called dye kit : colorful friends
Every follower you have that resembles a boss with a champion variant like monstro will have the look of the champion variant and would do attacks like the champion
Ex : lil monstro red would have a second one spinning around it to represent the champion varient

I don't think there was a need for a tougher Bumbino to be honest lol. Still looks cool af though.

I love the idea of yellow colostomia. But I think the second phase is a little easier in comparison, she should fire more tears when she charges the attack in her mouth.

These are fantastic and the sprite work is amazing!! But imagine fighting them as T!Lost or Jacob and Esau. Nightmare scenario
Red Min Min doesn't look that bad compared to the Willo storm you normally have to endure.

Been loving this mod the past week! Minor balance things: The distance/amount of flies spawned when Green Bumbino dies feels like a bit overkill, even in this video you can see flies instantly covering half the room when they burst out, and for a boss in a room full of rocks I feel like too-hard-to-avoid damage comes a bit often from this when the flies burst out further than I remember. Other than that the balance seems pretty good, slightly high but for Champion variants mostly found in the alt path that makes sense.

They are almost all too tough, they need some more balancing. Tho the sprites fenomenal
mhm are they tho? I feel like most of them are comparable to the originals. The only ones I would agree on are the Bumbinos. Some are even easier, Colostomia for example.
@@SlayXc2 i mean, i have some problem with purple min min, the two baby plums, maybe the piles. The others are fine i guess (i play with the switch so i dunno how to mod). I think that purple min min is a menace to society, the two baby plums are just too difficult and stacked for a boss that you could theoretically encounter in the first floor. The pile itself is a not an easy foe, giving him bombs or the flies i think it s too much. And then the bombinos are harder then the beast
I really think these should have a greater chance to drop thematic items. Like the homing firefly dude (don't know name) should have a chance to drop spoon bender, eye off the occult or psy fly. Or the black clog have a chance to drop ball of tar.

So, Grey Baby Plum is essentially a boss version of Boom Fly, just like the normal Baby Plum is a boss version of Red Boom Fly.

Wow this mod is amazing! The attacks are so unique, but are still similar to the original version. I would love to see this in the next official update!

What worries me about this mod is that I have to trust that it will be balanced enough.
I'm a big fan of these, a lot of them are pretty lethal
I think most bosses ended up easier than their original form, but all those sprites look amazing.

Love how the two Pile champions look like they were made to fit in with the two floors the boss can appear on, with the more trap-oriented patterns of the black one fitting with the design of classic Necropolis and the long range offense of the pink one fitting more with Ashpit.
What I don't love is the red Heretic that ruined my Zach run to Mother.

This is cool and all but I’m not a huge fan of the modder of the mod using hemolacria shots in a good chunk of the bosses seen in part 1 other than that the sprite changes for the majority of the bosses are excellent, nice job showing them off.
this mod is so well made that is one of those mods that you can't play without it anymore.
This looks cool and all, but imho this is not a full potentional of creativity of this bosses. You can add so much more unique things into their attacks. For example, for Red Reap Creep you can make some tongue-related attacks to make it more like The Thing mob. I know it requires some time to make some additional sprites and etc. but I think its worth it

awesome mod, but i wish the animations and attacks were a bit more consistant with each other. like for yellow colostomia, the spin attack when the butt is out should probably be something more monstro-esque to show off the arching of the shot angle. other than that, really well made

Make this real edmund, I was very sad when I realized that no new repentance bosses had any champion bosses. Would add that little spice I look for in runs since dead god

Dude purple min min would be RUN ENDING for some players but like if you're using this mod you've likely got all unlocks and want more challenge

Rotten bumbino should be it's own undead variant of regular bumbino like monstro 2 and both colostomia variants shouldn't dye the water brown on death since one is red and the other is yellow. Otherwise it's a really good mod.

The pink pile bone shots should be big bouncy bones instead of regular bones, the attack poses basically no threat as is
Red Min-Min's larger shots should split into 3 shots coming back upon hitting the wall,
Really all the dross and downpour bosses seem really underwhelming compared to their normal variants (the only exception being brown clog)
Sorta wish champion enemies had the special treatment bosses got instead of sharing perks that may not suit them well.
Never noticed that the Pile has eyes on its body.

While these would be cool to see in the game (can’t put mods cause of console), I can’t imagine fighting annoying versions of annoying bosses like Min Min and Plum.
Also, how do you use Mars on console? Every time I get it, I can’t use it or it uses itself on random.
Double tab items are weird on analog sticks. I asked Kilburn about this and they will eventually look into that

Let's take 0:48 for example.
When you display text on screen, you should be able to read through it 3 times. Those notes only stay for only 4 seconds, wich is about enough to read through half of it. It would be so much more comfortable if it stayed for 24 seconds, it's enough to read it all, still fits in the whole 30 second fight and you don't have to pause the video if you're interested in the notes (wich you probably are if you clicked on this video).
Maybe you'd want to consider this while editing the next part.
That is exactly WHY I didn't make them longer. They are just there for the ppl that care about the specifics enough to pause for a moment. Way more ppl would complain if I blocked part of the screen with information that is visible in the fight anyway. You would also miss half the fight if you read the entire thing while the video is going ^^
As if plum wasn't enough of a hassle if don't have a good synergy going. Now we have to add explosions to the mix?? :(

The one problem I have with this is that some of them have no downsides, the champion variants normally have downsides to them, like blue mom stomps less or black little horn has no bombs.
but blue mom spawns more and black little horn has the balls. That's exactly how it works here, the attacks are replaced
