I didn't think I needed to write this, but as you can see from the date on the video, Antibirth came out before Repentance, Antibirth was a mod, the first good mod that existed, Edmund liked the result so much that he gave the authors the option to make it official, they said yes, and after years of effort Repentance came out, Repentance is Antibirth plus lots of brand new content.
Curse of darkness on the new witness fight (now mother fight) messed up a amazing run for me.
Really someone doesn't know about Antibirth? That's a legend! How could someone don't know what repentance came out after Antibirth...

The fact that this is just a mod is insane.I mean this is literally better design on some bosses then in the real game.The fact that there are so many different features introduced in this keeps the game fresh and versatile.One of the best fan made mods out there(not just for the binding of isaac)

My favorite bosses on each floor
Basement/Downpour: Rainmaker. He has so much Personality! It's like he's trying to both woo you and kill you!
Caves/Mines: Great Gideon. This guy is greed mode incarnate. It's also cool how they have a boss version of one of those stone heads that shoot until you clear the room.
Depths/Mausoleum: The Heretic. That badass opening to the fight of 5 guys summoning him and he BLOWS UP THEIR HEADS shout set the baddasery for the fight.
Womb/Corpse: Rotgut. This boss is so cool! A boss IN 2D! The interesting game mechanics presented in this fight are just the best!

I personally think that Baby Plum is a bit too difficult for the floor that it’s on, since it’s attacks can be hard to dodge and you’re probably not doing a lot of damage that early in the game
wormwood is cooler than scolex and pin but not mechanically better since if you don't have flying he might make you restart your run.
I say that the rain maker is majestic when fighting...

Yeah DLC means Downloadable Content but generally speaking DLC is official content for the base game whereas a mod is a modification of the game which is generally not official. Hence this is a mod and not a DLC.
Let's take Skyrim. DLC is an official addon from the developers that add completely new scripts or locations/quests to the game. DLC-sized mods is basically the same but fanmade. So TBOI:Antibirth can be called a DLC-Sized Mod

If you kill great Gideon with the chaos card, after he dies a crawlspace appears with various items.
The brimstone bombs that Hornfel sometimes uses are based off of grenades from the "iron bomber", a primary weapon for the demoman in team fortress 2 that one of the antibirth developers uploaded to the steam workshop.

the tuff twins bomb mechanic is really good but the boss itself seems really easy
However, its also a time sink if youre bad at bombs. And the longer you spend in the fight, the more likely you are to take damage. Therein lies the difficulty
What happens if you're bad with bombs?
MINTOR94 the bombs don't slide too much and you can trow them over rocks so its fairly easy to hit them and they do a lot of damage too
Yeah, most of the mechanics in antibirth are nice.
The boss is either stupid easy (especially with flying) or insane difficult (he can cram so much damage into you if he catches you in a bad spot + away from the bomb spawn.. it depends on the room and your stats)

In a way, it deserves it.
I feel this is the poster boy for MODs in BOI.
They better get paid for all of their hard work. I'd hate to see it get added to the official game without proper compensation...
Also, they might need to figure out another name for one of the reward items of Jacob and Esau. Both Afterbirth+ and Antibirth introduced a passive item called Jacob's Ladder, but they do vastly different things.
Both games also have Ghost Pepper. I think the items that work the same in Afterbirth+ will be cut or have a diffrent purpose.
If anything, Bird's Eye is a weaker variant of Ghost Pepper, much like how Blue Candle is weaker than Red Candle. I could see both items existing in one game without much of an issue.
Even the second D12 from Antibirth can be repurposed, with enough tweaking. It could work similarly to Eternal D6: a decent substitute for the original, but with added risk. An "Anti D12" could have a chance of making additional obstacles appear and/or removing some preexisting ones, which may be good or bad depending on the circumstances.
Von Kaiser the crators said they propably wont even port it to ab+ because its so terrible and they just port it to regular afterbirth instead

+AWildAdventurerAppeared, High Memefather Well, the Pile doesn't hide underground like polycephalus or the stain, it teleports instead (which can be worse imo because it can telefrag you). The Stain, like Polycephalus, pop out only when you're close to them if they're underground, and they try to get closer to you. So, if you don't want it to hide for 10 minutes, just stop moving until it pops out. Oh, and try to focus it when it does its bullethell attack, because that's the moment he's the most vulnerable. Always works.

I just have to say that this is the best mod out of any game ive ever played. There's tons of good mods out there but I like mods that stay true to the vanilla design of the original game. This mod is not only creative but has variants of original bosses, and even enemies and bosses look like they were actually designed by the original designer of Afterbirth. Also I'll get this out of they way; I love how the intro is voiced by the same dude who narrated the Stanely Parable.
