I always thought they were really cool! Like a mega talented gang. They just never took themselves so seriously. Always a laugh. But the music spoke for itself.
They worked hard all the time with constant gigs and were an excellent live band. They were friendly and approachable which helped them get a lot of interviews in the media.
Quo simply made the best of the times they were in.. To be able to adapt and alter their image and music to best fit in with their current environment and genre.. Also in doing this they avoided being dated or too stereotyped early on.... while they were still building a following made up of loyal fans and regular audience's.... Once established they lived up to their most iconic name.. Perfect example of being able to market yourself successfully as far as I am concerned.. Stood the test of time to become stalwarts of rock n roll with longevity.. One of my favourite groups..
I agree. I was a mega Quo fan in the 70s. You could say they were my only band. The re-emergence of Quo after Live Aid changed all that though. The 80s and 90s were dreadful. Seeing footage of middle aged men bringing blow up guitars and making fools of themselves? Basically Quo WERE cool in the 70s, and I would so let everyone know how much I loved their music and style. Basically, it's uncool NOW to admit it. Tribute bands of Quo are more interesting these days
Status Quo is the best Hardrock Band the World Forever......!!💥🎸
was....long time ago - but today: embarrassing!
I like Quo, so simple, so good, so true.....
