- Combining footage with the october 76 recording resulted in almost 15 minutes boogierock in the Apollo Glasgow. Not perfect cos it was a monstrous project. But there are some good bits ;-).
This was my first Quo gig,I was 17 years old and 5 of us travelled up in a battered old van,what a night!61 now and still loving this..the original 4 can’t be beaten

Green with envy. Saw them at Brighton centre, I was in the balcony and got told to sit by an usher. Refused , stayed standing Rossi pointed at me after a few songs and said something like, he’s the only bloke standing up what’s the matter with the rest of you? Everyone s on their feet by the end. That balcony didn’t bounce tho!

Les années passent mais c'est drôle comme des sons, des rythmes et des riffs vous restent dans la tête... J'avais 15 ans et je n'écoutais que les QUO. Le montage est superbe, le concert monstrueux et le groupe grand, très grand... Merci les QUO pour ce boogie simple et vrai. Ce n'est que du bonheur... Merci...

I was so made up to see this video. - Best live album ever. Saw Quo live 9 times between 1975 and 1982. That line up are still the best live band I’ve seen. The energy and sheer volume at their concerts was unbelievable. Sound track to me formative yrs. Just brilliant. Thanks for posting this.
Yo digo que siempre habrá ritmos y letras con un significado acordé a su época que bien valen la pena escuchar una y otra vez. Lamentablemente las televisoras son las causantes de esta música degradante actual : reguetón por ejemplo símbolo de una vulgaridad extrema. Que pasará sin pena ni gloria. Grerat stuff. I listened to this album dozens of times with my friend Ian in 1979/80. He sadly passed away in 1999, the biggest Status Quo fan I ever met. We saw Quo at their "Farewell" concert at the Glasgow Apollo in June 1983. Amazing how you put this together. Fanstastic work and much appreciated. RIP Ian Kidd (1963-1999).

End of the Road Tour was June 84 saw them at Newcastle City Hall, the day before I sat my history A' Level.

My auld fella saw them at the Milton Keynes Bowl, the final concert, with Nazareth, Marillion, Gary Glitter (better than he expected) and Jason and the Scorchers. Some day that was, apparently.

Qué rolón! ....que rolón!.....blues de la cabaña del disco doble en vivo, disco cotizadisimo entre los fans, era una bendición para el que lo tenía y lo ponía en las tardeadas o lo prestaba, es oro molido! Escuchar esta rola es un deleite, pero ademas tuve el gusto de verlos en los dos conciertos que dieron en cd Neza México. Puedo morir feliz haberlos visto tocar.

The music is great, they were soooo good back then (we all know that), but to be fair, the plaudits need to go to the person who edited all that footage - totally brilliant job, so much better than so-called official 'stuff' I have paid for. Top marks mate!
nog beter als op de lp in alle concerten was er een klein stukje anders Ricks werk, alhoewel Francis word miskent in elk nummer speelt hij een stukje load best een goede gitarist ik nhad samen met een nederlander bakstage ik schreef een stukje in het fanblad het sloeg in als een bom en de fanclub leider kon het moeilijk verteren nooit nog iets van hem gehoord ik had zowat alle lp{s van quo en geloof me dat zijn er weinige de twee eerste de europese en de amerikaanse waren van uitzicht hetzelfde doch de europese bevatte een nummer meer op de eerste live lp stond onze namen op vermeld

Los status son una banda mega importante para el rock qué si hace brincar y aventarse al público su sonido urbano llego a tantos lugares marginados.
En mexico ni que decir en zonas como neza o ecatepec .
Para mi es una de las 10 mejores bandas del rock , antes de que los ramones aparecieran ya estaban los status y que decir de su influencia qué es inmensa influyendo también a la última gran banda del rock qué fue oasis.
Como no recordar esa tocada en el neza 86 .
Simplemente una chingoneria de rola esta version esta de poca madre gracias por compartirla con toda la banda que sabe de rock

Si recuerdo está súper rola cuando nos juntabamos varios chavos en los 90s buscando las tocadas callejeras los días sábados para bailar y si claro nos echabamos nuestras chelitas, no me arrepiento son recuerdos de juventud bien chidos, también recuerdo a la amiga EVA LA CORONELA "en paz descanse" porque la bailaba bien chingón, se pasó de diversión. Parece que fue ayer ya tengo 53, la vida es corta por eso hay que disfrutar que estamos vivos, saludos a la generación ochentera y noventera, fueron las mejores.
Cuando empece a ir a fiestas decíamos: "Sólo hay una rola que hace un reventón" y cuando el bajeo se escuchaba... todos a moverse! Éramos felices! y lo sabíamos ¿cómo chingada madre no ? estábamos a años luz de esta amarga realidad del 2020.

Cuando tenía como 17 años, hubo una fiesta en la cuadra. Estaba lloviendo muy ligero y el sonido puso esta versión. Imagínate unas 200 personas bailando. Tengo ya 52 años y no lo olvido. Fue simplemente mágico.

For a 8 year period they were simply the best rock band in the world, all the heads down legs apart that every rock band since have been doing is down to the Quo , they were secretly admired by all the major bands at the time. Jimmy Page was right in saying you wouldnt want to follow Quo on, Zeppelin found it hard to follow Lynard Skynard on as Page has admitted.

My FIRST album: Status Quo / live ! 2 vinyl records, i still got those, today...i agree, the BEST album! In my opinion, the last REAL records. The following songs, sounds too much commercial.

I don't think think this is actual film footage from the original show. It looks more like a montage of live footage from various shows.
This is and always will be the best Quo line-up along with Andy Bown.
There's only one way to listen to Roadhouse Blues and that is LOUD.
Most of the footage is from the 1975 Madrid show, but carefully edted to match the Glasgow recording. My brother bought this album and turned me on to Quo too - absolutely amazing live album and with remarkable musical subtlety.

When I first bought Piledriver in 1975/6???, I didn't realise that this was a Doors song so whenever I hear it I always associate it with Quo. Still think the Doors version is a plodding dirge compared to this but then I was a Quo fanatic in the 70's so I'm probably biased.

Forget the Doors who wrote it. Quo did it better. Better pace, more ballsy.

It was only a few years ago I found out it's "the washerwoman song" Irish ditty......bugged me for years, I knew I'd heard it before somewhere when they did it on Hastings Pier in the early 70's
