The Lamborghini Murcielago LP670 SV with IPE is the Sound of Heaven!

- The Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV is the raging bull that has always eluded me! Time to fix that, and this rare SV that's fitted with an IPE exhaust sure sounds absolutely the part as we go flat out on track at Road Atlanta. What an experience hearing that V12 scream!
In fact, one of these in this very colour, Arancio Borealis, featured in my first ever TH-cam video almost a decade ago, As we approach the 10 year anniversary of Shmee150, it would be wrong to not experience what it's like and especially in this environment with The Driving Club of Road Atlanta out on the circuit.
The Murcielago SV is fitted with a 6.5l naturally aspirated V12 that makes 670hp and 660nm with a 7 speed automated manual gearbox and all wheel drive. However the best bit comes from the valve controlled IPE exhaust system that sure knows how to scream away when I can put my foot down and accelerate flat out while going for some laps.
It's an awkward car, the seating position is uncomfortable, the gearbox is slow, the steering wheel is off-centre and it's starting to become a bit dated... but does that matter? NO! It's one of just 186 that was ever built, all of which bar 5-6 have the e-gear Gearbox with just a tiny number with a 6 speed gated manual.

I've always said the Aventador has literally nothing on the Murciélago sound. They sound downright crude next to a Murci. The LP640/670SV will forever be my dream Lambo.
My dad had a black muercielago in 2004 then bought a lp640 orange around 2010, now we have a sv and svj. Sv with novitech exhaust and svj with gintani both fully straight piped. We also had a f1 exhaust on the first black murciélago. I was very young but I never got so scared to a car sound and the neighbors filed a complaint against my dad cuz it was too loud. Back then my dad didn’t know anything about cars so he made it pretty much illegal with that sound and destroyed warranty. The lp640 is my favorite from the four sounds. It’s just nostalgic and different

Shmee alone is the top echelon of TH-cam car videos, the man has elevated so much he forgot he hasn’t ever driven a merci of any kind. I remember the old school car spotting vids with the turquoise super cars with Arab plates and the turquoise merci sv was my favourite, back then it was just shmee, marchettino (not sure how to spell it) and a couple others like S.o.l coming up but all I use to do was watch these cars drive in circles around London now look at him with like 15 cars getting spotted in the US with British plates lol well done to you sir.. I’m completely amazed how you do all of this work by yourself, you must be one of the most passionate car guys out there at this point 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Yeah, Shmee’s channel is one of the only ones where I watch every video.
You can’t really compete with what he said in this video, nearly a decade since his first TH-cam video so needless to say he’s a Boss with a whole team now and I have been watching his videos for many years back when not many people knew about supercar spotting in London videos but my point was it’s still mostly just him going everywhere recording the content by himself and has been for years which is a lot of work. Obviously times have changed now, as you can see and he is now the one driving the same cars that where getting spotted in London years ago and driving them on track! That sounds like dreams becoming a reality to me and extremely motivational because the merci sv is one of my dream cars and for that reason Edmund Mondi gets my views. Very few top car TH-camr’s can say they have been posting overall exclusive content for 5+ years let alone nearly 10 years strong, supercarblondie is exactly what her name says and probably doesn’t even know 10% of shmees car knowledge. To me my her content is a stretched out Instagram video and her whole set up is very artificial, I wouldn’t be surprised if the views and comments are too... I just don’t see the hype no hate, just calling a duck a duck 👊🏿
I know that you said a lot of times you dont plan to get a Lambo, but man you really need a Murci 670SV. That car is the best Lambo ever.

I've been an American V8 guy my entire life but, I'm not going to lie, nothing sounds as good as an Italian V12. That just might be the sound of God's voice!
I love that sound when it revs! The color is nice and the s and the v design on the side is chill. The power and the speed are both impressive, and I love the rear wing. The pov from the cockpit was invigorating.

Your one lucky man. You said you have never driven a Murci, and on your trip to Georgia, you got to drive 2.. and 2 of the ULTIMATE versions of the Murci. The LP670 is very special. And even more special, Ed's 6 speed LP640 that he let you take for a spin. So amazing.

Going through your videos this is my first time seeing this one. The Murcielago is my absolute dream car. Ya its old and has a lot of quirks but like you said, it is meant for one thing and it does it in spades, its just an amazing experience.

I know newer fans will like the Aventador SVJ
but for me it's always THE Murciélago SV. Especially since it was the last model to carry Giotto Bizzarrini's last iteration of the original V12, which sounded wayy more F1 like than the Audi developed throaty sounding one in the Aventadors.
