- This video is to show the importance of choosing the right table when ordering your cylinder machine. In most cases a cylinder machine is bought because it allows the operator to have the freedom to stitch around circular shaped products such as gussets and top edges on handbags and at times down into the bag bottoms as well. Personally I believe cylinder machines are the best type of machines to start with if you want to do leather goods making, saddlery work and many other types of sewing operations. Having the right table is just as if not more important than having the right sewing machine for the job. The pedestal stands on casters are definitely the way to go.

I just bought a Tech Sew 5100 that comes on your ”tinny table”! You’re right, it looks a bit wimpy but is quite solid. The bottom plate is 5/16”. Height adjustable. Great video.

Thanks Harry for a great video. I am currently looking at getting a 6900 and am looking at ways of reducing the footprint of the table. It looks like the Pedestal will have a smaller footprint so it might be useful to use it. In addition, the other tip you pointed out in the video about the bigger sewing area for certain items is also something to consider. Cheers.

No sorry I don't. I am still very much a novice when it comes to making and editing videos as yet.
The CB4500 and the CB6900 are both compound feed machines, yes?
Yes that is correct. Some say triple feed and some say unison feed.

I have a Techsew 2750. It came on a large table similar to the big one. Where can I get a pedestal table like the one you transferred the machine to? I’m in the USA.

Most places offer this option table for an extra $150 when buying a new machine. Well worth I think.
Does this take the same needle as the 441/Cowboy 4500?
No. The needles are nearly 1" (25mm) longer on the CB 4500 machines

Swap that out for a 205 or Cobra. Nice fix!
Both good machines for sure but not as suitable for this type of work especially when it comes to doing tight gussets or wallets and purses.
