So last night I scheduled the upload/premiere for 12pm and then completely spaced it!! haha so anyway, sorry I wasn't in the live chat. Thanks for watching:) What are your thoughts on this machine??
Your machine’s timing is actually slightly off. Notice how the material actually moves backward ever-so-slightly right before the needle penetrates. This is sometimes simply a matter of your inside (front) presser foot not being completely slid onto its driver.
Haters gonna hate, as long as you're not hurting anyone, make money where every you find it available. Helping others with the information is a great bonus for us floating around the interweb.
Seeing this not quite 2 years since you did it. To address the affiliate situation you spoke of. I don't care at all that you affiliate. I think it is unrealistic for people to expect you not to do this. As long as you are upfront and admit the situation (as you always do) and give truthful information and good pros and cons on your reviews, I say have at it. Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement that you provide less experienced makers. I am shopping around for a class 4 machine right now as I am tired of hand stitching and want to move to the next level. My desire to move to the next level is greatly inspired by you (and others) doing these videos. Thank you!
Love my Techsew 2750 pro. Bought it out of Montreal in Nov 2018 as a beginner leather sewer after lots of research. Your comment about Ron & staff is bang on. As a beginner, that was a huge advantage. As I learned a bit more, l began to realize how important some of the great features of the machine are that were not always available on other machines. Great machine. Great support. I’m very impressed.
hey there, did you find you needed to add a speed reducer or was the servo able to be set at a slow enough speed? I have a speed reducer on my flatbed as I prefer a slow and controlled stitch.
@@pdee4071 I purchased a speed reducer but have not yet installed it. In fact, now that I’ve had a little experience with the 2750 I find the servo motor runs slowly enough that I’m pretty satisfied. I will eventually install the reducer. But I’m in no hurry, at this point.
I love my Techsew 5100. I have had it for 3 years, never has a needle broken, all it has ever asked of me is periodic cleaning and regular oil. Good luck with yours!
Hey Gary, what kind of leather do you sew with the 5100, trying to decide between that and the 2750 like Parker, but worried the 5100 might be overkill.. also worried that the 2750 might not be enough for some of my bags where I need to go through 3 layers.
Firstly, congrats on the addition to your family, Parker! You guys deserve all the happiness and support in the world:) Secondly, you're honesty is honourable and you need not feel deterred by nay-sayers. It's easy for people to criticise and take things for granted when you don't understand how much work it takes to make a living out of doing what you love, keeping up an internet presence and supporting your family to boot! You guys are inspiring and you gotta do what you gotta do. And you manage it whilst keeping us all invested in your journey. So thank you:)
Thanks man. Keep these partnerships coming. You do you to continue to support the channel. People these days want everything for free and on top of that they want you to finance their education 😂
You said the tension "looks pretty good" but I had to pause the vid when you did the quick flip over. The tension is not good as you can see the loops sticking out from the bottom of the leather. Don’t know if you’re being misleading but that quick flip over looks like you’re trying to hide it.
Congrats Parker and Wit on new baby. I have to say i love the content you all are producing it has helped me start my journey in leather work. Parker dont worry about the haters you can tell with your excitement if you believe the tool or method will work and you can see the hesitation if your unsure on something. So dont think of yourself as a paid drone selling whatever cause you are helping me at lest. Have a wonderfull time with family going to be a rough time for daddy the next couple weeks lol

Finally, a request: when you have some time, can you do a video on a project that would be difficult or impossible on a flatbed machine? Show us how the cylinder arm enables you to make something that would be hard or impossible on a flatbed. Thanks and congratulations again. KB.
1st off, congrats to you and yours on the new addition... I'm talking about the baby not the machine. Hope and pray baby and mama are doing well. Thanks for the upload and I'll have to take a closer look at this machine now. I love those sharp turns and it looks like that will save loads of time... Which you will need. Thanks again! Can’t wait to order a 2750Pro as an early Xmas gift to myself! Will definitely be using that code, and thanks for making me more comfortable with my purchasing decision.
I've made my decision. I'm going to purchase this for sure. Not only have I been looking for a quality machine. I have also been looking for some backing on this. I'm new to using machines and at this price point is seems like a deal right in my ballpark. Thank you for the quick simple review and congrats on the new addition to the family. Keep doing what you're doing! I love it!

You did a good job this time around, but I've seen you cover other machines in a way that left me with no questions. Cheers

Thanks for the review! I've been going back and forth on which machine to buy. I have been looking very seriously at the Techsew line! As for the affiliate stuff. Good for you! I am in the market for a cylinder arm sewing machine and have been looking at the cowboy 4500. Was there an issue with the cowboy machines? Just want to make sure I am not buying a headache.
One of my biggest issues is topstitching. How close to the edge of your leather can you sew? I need no more than 1/8" stitching from the edge for straps and the top of bags. Can this machine do this or can you recommend a different machine
Parker, what the difference between this machine and the Cowboy 3200 you had? They both look capable of sewing different thickness of leather. I really like my wallet you made! Thanks
Hows it going bro, I like what your doing! I was going to purchase a TechSew machine and use your discount code but i know this videos a few years old. Are you able to offer any other discounts codes presently?
Hello,I'm struggling to decide.. 1/2" Thickness is more than enough for what i want to sew. But you know if it can sew 1/2" of veg tan leather ? Thanks for your help :)
Hey Parker, have you had problems with the walking foot and feed dog leaving marks on the leather with your Techsew machine? I just bought the 1660 and it's marking up the leather no matter what I dials I adjust.
Hey Parker, I have watched this video several times. I am debating that machine. Have you used it on holsters? Is that half inch enough for that? Would the 5100 be good for lighter work like wallets and bags? It's all very confusing to a first time buyer! Ugh.. Thanks. And missing your vids bro!
I've seen so many videos and reviews of machines, but really like this machine for some reason. Thanks for the video. Do you use any reverse twist needles too to get those nice slanty stitches? BTW - your veg tan would look great with a cream thread instead of white!!
Jandle in the city Hello! There is this video that shows how to fix your problem and also how to give proper maintenance to the machine. th-cam.com/video/eA3WUb5B9mk/w-d-xo.html
Did you consider the Techsew 2600 model (smaller cylinder arm diameter)? Does the 3 inch cylinder arm on the 2750 limit inside sewing in your experience?
you can definitely slow it down with a servo but not nearly as much as you can with the servo + speed reducer. It's basically a bigger pulley so it changes the gearing and gives you a lot more torque and stability. If you're mostly working with leather, it's worth getting a reducer. Most new leather machines come with them
Thats the pressure foot itself. Usually you can change the setting on how strong it presses against the fabric/leather. You need a firm force but not too much so it wont leave a mark. I would suggest you do some tests with scrap leather, and note yourself what pressure is OK for which type of leather :) Good luck!
Thanks for the great video, I have been wanting a cylinder machine. I appreciate your honesty about the machine. When you get the machine , how much assembly do I have to do when it arrives ? Can I still use your coupon for the extra accessories? Since this video is 3 years old? I really enjoyed watching your other videos. I have already learned a lot from you. I have subscribed to your channel. THANKS!!!!!!
I just recently purchased this same machine from TechSew directly, and the coupon did not work whatsoever. I didnt ask anyone to try to push the issue but just wanted to let you know. Hopefully this helps you out.
So last night I scheduled the upload/premiere for 12pm and then completely spaced it!! haha so anyway, sorry I wasn't in the live chat. Thanks for watching:) What are your thoughts on this machine??

Hello! There is this video that shows how to fix your problem and also how to give proper maintenance to the machine.

Did you consider the Techsew 2600 model (smaller cylinder arm diameter)? Does the 3 inch cylinder arm on the 2750 limit inside sewing in your experience?
2750 sews much thicker stuff you need it doing bags in comparison to the 2600
Does it have a speed reducer or you are just using the servo motor that comes with the machine?
you can definitely slow it down with a servo but not nearly as much as you can with the servo + speed reducer. It's basically a bigger pulley so it changes the gearing and gives you a lot more torque and stability. If you're mostly working with leather, it's worth getting a reducer. Most new leather machines come with them
Do you know what causes impressions in the leather from the pressure feet and how to fix it?
Thats the pressure foot itself. Usually you can change the setting on how strong it presses against the fabric/leather. You need a firm force but not too much so it wont leave a mark. I would suggest you do some tests with scrap leather, and note yourself what pressure is OK for which type of leather :) Good luck!
@@Krisszhu1990 Thanks!
What is the number of thread? And what is the name of thread and needle?
Thanks for the great video, I have been wanting a cylinder machine. I appreciate your honesty about the machine. When you get the machine , how much assembly do I have to do when it arrives ? Can I still use your coupon for the extra accessories? Since this video is 3 years old? I really enjoyed watching your other videos. I have already learned a lot from you. I have subscribed to your channel. THANKS!!!!!!
I just recently purchased this same machine from TechSew directly, and the coupon did not work whatsoever. I didnt ask anyone to try to push the issue but just wanted to let you know. Hopefully this helps you out.
what speed do you set it at on the motor?
sure blame the new baby for no new videos. LOL Congratulation to you and your wife on the new addition
excellent video i am going to purchase this machine for my upholstery shop here in Barbados and congrats on your new born
Who can I buy one off I tried to off a utube site but it was a scam.
Hi there, I have this style machine and am attempting to sew leather bands onto fur felt hats. Unfortunately no tutorials. Can you help?
I've never done that, i'd be just as lost as you haha. If something like that ever comes across my plate i'll give it a go:)
Thanks for the review, Do you use a speed reducer or just the variable speed on the servo?
I have this same machine, I highly recommend a speed reducer not for speed, but for torque especially for leather sewing.
