    Thanks for the video. What needle system does the machine use? What range of needle sizes can it handle? What range of thread size can it handle?

      Needles used are 135 x 17 from a size 18 up to a 24 Thread = 69 weight up to 138

    Hi there, thank you so much for the video, I just purchased a ikonix KS 335A which looks just like yours. I'm running Nylon 69 as this was recommended, but the thread keeps on unraveling and birdnesting on the bottom, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you 😊

      I recently purchased an iconic KS-335A and have had multiple issues with it...they did not provide a viable manual ~ the paper one appeared to by a mimeograph from the '70's....the one online was not much better....Their videos show an entirely different way to thread the machine than the manual as well as differently than the unit in this video....I had significant "bird nesting" and discovered the threading was the issue... I am very frustrated.

      Your tensions may be to tight for that type of thread.

    What are the 2-studs, and 6-bars on the arm for? They seem like they would be in the way!

      I removed mine...they did hamper my ability to sew certain pieces ~ when the gawd damn thing would sew...

    Hi! I have the same sewing machine just different brand but exactly the same set up. I am having problem with the thread coming out of the take up spring all the time (that spring after the tension before looping to the lever) when I try to stitch on fabric. Have you experience something like that and if so, how do you fix it? I Would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

      Sorry for the long delay. Try increasing more up and down action.

    I have the same machine, im having an issue where my tension is fine going forward but when going in reverse or backstitch the top thread bundles up underneath like it doesnt have enough top tension, You ever experience that? Thanks

      @bridgewatersewingcentre  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like you may have timing issues or there is a rough spot some where that is catching the thread when in reverse

      I would have to be looking at the machine in order to help.

    Does this machine feed from left to right? So you can do the under arm seam top stitching?

    What is the big spring screwed on the base of the sewing machine ?

    • @bridgewatersewingcentre
      @bridgewatersewingcentre  ปีที่แล้ว

      this spring just holds down the plate

    • @frankhenderson2443

      My screws under the plate keep getting all dusty with metal from the plate pushing on them so hard. Do I just loosen the screw so the plate isn’t pushing so hard?

    thanks for the video ! i have a big doubt you might help me about... i've never seen that particular double foot before and i have the chance to buy a machine with it: is that foot suitable for different types of sewing or just for binding ? because i wont use the machine for binding only... thank you !

    • @bridgewatersewingcentre
      @bridgewatersewingcentre  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes a walking foot can be used for different types of heavier sewing.
