      Death penalty is finality, a life in prison can be overturn if new evidence comes out to prove your innocent.
      Ask yourself this, if you were accused of a crime you didn't do which punishment you would prefer.

    1:35 All of the Supreme Court justices said "I am the law" multiple times, except Justice Clarence Thomas, who only said it once and was the last person to say it. In real life, Justice Clarence Thomas rarely speaks on the Supreme Court. That is a solid observation by the Onion

      Because while it was intended as satire at the time, the concept of a childish Supreme Court turned out to be depressingly prescient; the current Trump-born Supreme Court really has been revealed to be a despicably motivated organization that doesn't operate in good faith in interpreting the law. At least the Republican appointees very much are more than willing to make shit rulings to protect the GOP at large, whether it makes legal sense or not.
      Also, The Onion recently started making these videos again, which may be part of the reason. I suggest checking out the newer ones created within the last few weeks. I particularly enjoy the one about JD Vance criticizing "childless children."

    Justice Kennedy was onto something. We could make the moon a prison colony like Australia, except it’s 10 times worse. Then put every death row inmate there and see if they can make a society on the moon. Australia turned out alright, so we should be able to do the same with the moon.
