I actually liked how Cara was designed, mainly because the message of that chapter was that drugs can change someone (either for better or worse). In the case of some people like the guy that wrote the End Poem for Minecraft and decided to release it for free after a trip, that's a case of how drugs don't always negatively affect someone. Their relationship was fine at first, but she ended up getting addicted to meth (for some reason a newer patch changes that to unspecified "hard drugs") and began spiraling from there. Heavily under the influence of drugs and alcohol, she begins losing it when Noah breaks up with her and eventually starts dating someone else. But she can't forget about him, and finding out that Noah moved on only made it worse. Another thing to mention is that if you're housesitting like Noah was, you clearly wouldn't expect your ex-girlfriend to show up and harass you at the place that wasn't even your own house. Andy mentioned that Cara had _just_ been at the store and bought a bunch of random shit before leaving. As you're biking up, you can literally see her leaving and walking to her car (32:01) so she was clearly around to watch you and decided to follow you back to the house. You never know when someone's watching you. You never know when someone you knew and used to trust might end up turning on you. That's the real horror of this chapter, fuck that shit.

I think my biggest issue with this game is the long exposition before you get to the meat of the game. @15:06 ...I have 2 laundry baskets... Originally intended to have one for whites, the other for non-bleach stuff. But I only use one while doing laundry in my apartment building, to keep my stuff off the floor from the washer to the drier, and a clean spot to hold delicate stuff I shouldn't put in the crude drier. The other basket has been idle, but I think I'll use it to hold stuff, I would normally just throw on the floor like a getto person.

Dirtied clothes basket, clean basket 👍🏽
i love seeing John annoyed lmao. the way the game bugged with the eating noises playing non-stop was too funny XD

I have been a critical viewer for over a decade and i love seeing you are still making videos. keep it up jonathan, proud of you!
me too!! i was rewatching his playthrough of twdg s1 from like 2012 and i kept finding my old comments on his videos haha 😅 im really happy he's still on yt(:
Jonathan Wolfe 🤣
this episode is genuinely terrifying. had me on the edge of my seat the whole time 🫣

The way John was slowly getting irritated by the chewing. The expression on his face and reactions leading up to it killed me 🤣🍕
1:03:46 I Am Lmaoing! First I’ve Seen Him Shocked & Scared In A Gameplay 🤣🤝
thanks for mentioning the drug thing, sometimes games make mental illness and drug abuse into an oOOOooOOo SPoooKy SCaarry thing when theyre just issues that need treatment and not stigma. I dont think most authors have bad intentions and theyre just following common horror tropes but id love to see it less as the antagonist in horror games
Yes people with drug and severe mental health issues are known to never be dangerous to others whatsoever. Can't possibly imagine why anyone would ever think that
@@pennpaper723 Well, it certainly does happen. But it's also true the trope is used alot. Most drug addicts and mentally ill people are more dangerous to themselves than others.
@@pennpaper723 prob bcs popular crime shows and movies and games like these in general have already stigmatized the mentally ill and drug abuser as a dangerous criminal. just saying
I love your comment. You put it better than I could have put it. The fact that she’s a drug addict could’ve been left out. it only causes a stigma.
@@kayleekidman4751 So having her just be a skeezy pyschotic ex with attachment and abandonment issues is better? At least her being a junkie gives her backstory as to why she is the way she is.
I'm actually crying, the chewing bit killed me off.
the chewing part left me in tears oh my god
Wrong, wrong, wrong. I always want to hear about people's dreams. 😂😂😂😂 That being said, I love your commentary on all of your videos. 😂😂😂
Right? Me and my friend have some crazy ass dreams and love talking about em.
I love telling my crazy dreams to other people and I felt personally called out during that entire part lol

57:19 Ok but literally, my biggest jump scare! I don't think one has gotten me that good in years 💀
15:14 **Nervous sweating** Yeah.. haha, I know right?
Almost as ridiculous as owning three laundry baskets.
Not that I own three laundry baskets or anything, of course not.
My first thought when seeing this is my subscription box. "No way! I was wondering when they'd come out with another one of these!" I'm so stoked to watch this, it'll be a nice break from re-watching all the old RE play throughs in anticipation of the RE4 remake. Now if only we could get some news on My Friendly Neighbourhood.
I also love the attention to detail in these games. You never really appreciate it until you play a Unity asset flip with no placeables.
5:24 GOTTA SWEEP SWEEP SWEEP 🧹🧹
57:17 scared TF out of john lol
@15:06
...I have 2 laundry baskets...
John just staring waiting for the chewing to end 😂 Got me so good
12:05 LOL No!! I love hearing about peoples dreams!! xD ---the commentary on the whole house and is hilarious.
10:00 Loved the way John instantly leaves when he sees its the basement lmao
Games like this really show just how effectively a developer can create tension and fear, despite having very little actual content in a game, just by being good at what they do.
Could not stop laughing through most of this vid, John's commentary through the groceries scene & return to the house, so good
Yay! Can't wait to watch! Sending lots of love and good vibes for this new year, for you, Kimmy, friends, family and Belle! Hoping you're having a good weekend ♥. Stay as healthy as possible!
The 14:40 part killed me 😂 haven't finish the video yet but that part made me already 👍 it, I just love John's impersonifications
John's commentary is just what I need on a Monday morning. Thanks John!
John giving that good boy the pats he deserves.
I really appreciate John's critiques. He always tries to be fair and kind in them.
1:03:44 that realisation was too good lol
That had me crying
John's font name knowledge is so entertaining
Ohmygod the chewing glitch with John's dead inside face was so funny 🤣
LOL John grows with us. He too understands the perils of home ownership and lawn care issues with ill placed fencing.
The neighbor who built the fence went against code 😂
bro it took me ages to realize that the "cans" she bought was beer... I legit thought she was buying a shit ton of soup and his friends assumed she was having a soup party
I was SO relieved they didn't go down the, "she was mentally ill! thats why she tried to stab me!" route... Horror is especially unkind to people with mental illnesses so it's refreshing when stigma isnt pulled
These Gen Z conversations have me rolling 😂
I was patiently awaiting for John's playthrough and here it is! Loved your previous Fears to Fathom videos; so excited to see how you like this one. Also, there's a house so I know there will be some interior design critiques
John: "2 laundry baskets? Who owns 2 laundry baskets?"
Me who owns 2 laundry baskets: 😳
12:55 lmao. I text exactly like that to the clients I work for
Yes, I patiently waited for John's playthrough! I can't wait to see what this episode brings!
I have to say. After watching someone play episode 4 then coming back so watch john play 3 for the 20th time (because his reaction to the chewing gets me every time) I like ep 4 better simply because the character actually washes their hands😂😂
These games are great because they definitely stem from realistic scenarios. Love the video John, never stop making these
did john pay attention to episode 2? It literally ends like 30 seconds after anything scary happens because guy 1 walks in to punch guy two, the other 40 minutes was driving and walking back and forth to grab this or that.
As someone who uses "ya" in texts, I feel personally attacked D: I was waiting for this playthrough tho!
55:39 You got me with that MADTV reference!! Hats off sir!
John dying because he narrated his current situation is something I didn't know i needed to see.
John: “Now who has two laundry baskets?”
Meanwhile my Mom’s house has 4 laundry baskets, one for each of us
I own two laundry baskets, and let me tell ya; life is pretty great. You don't know what you're missing out on!
I couldn't stop laughing at your thumbnail 😭😂
OMG I died at John's reaction to how long that dude was chewing -- (In fairness I hate the sound of people chewing so it really bugged me too) when the game bugged out
The beginning confused me so much bc of the laundromat. It is arcade paradise 100% and caught me off guard and got me in the feels so much that I want to start playing it again xD
god the flea market montgomery jingle 😂 to this day i cant hear the word "dinette" without thinking of it
