I’m in CA and from what I have personally experienced and see most of the time. People prefer to go the route of LVN and do a bridge program to RN. Because it’s 13 months to do the LVN program +2 semesters at community college to bridge to the RN versus doing 5 to 8 semesters (depending on your pace) at a Community College for an RN program or paying 60k at a private school. LVN programs are as low as $5k here. Also, most of the county hospitals have tuition assistance programs after working there for a certain amount of time so if you work as a LVN, you can attend a private school for RN for free.
What hospitals have that?
@@shay6665depends where you work. I’m phlebotomist at a clinic based site, and they said if I get my LVN and work a year they’ll pay for my college. So, I mean, every hospital/clinic is different .. gotta just apply and ask about it.
Ty for posting this because in CA it’s very competitive to get into nursing school here with tuition being outrageously high. Some people lose hope with the several attempts to try to get into a good program.
@@CrazyBunniePanda hello I just got my phlebotomy license here in New Jersey, have any idea how I can secure a job? Been applying to hospitals and I haven’t gotten any response yet. Please I need help in how to go about this. Thanks
Can you give e me the names of few community colleges that I can apply to in California
Aa a current lpn in my last semester of rn school..i 100% agree.
I totally agree with you that's kind of like the same thing when you ask if an HHA is better or worse than a CNA
Funny enough my baby is 8 months old, my husband is going into cyber security and has the potential to stay home, I might go ahead and go towards RN. But I’m a bare dry beginner and don’t have any experience of nursing at all. So I’m not sure and live in Boston.
He is telling the whole truth you can't get time back
Can do a short video on why we should look for when it comes to NCLEX pass rates, like what is a red flag 🚩 pass rate
Like one college I seen said they have a 100% pass rate and thought it was BS 😅I just wanna be sure!

You'll do some math with like dosage calculations. Nothing crazy.
