    From a 19 year old wanting it easy wise (LPN) to a certified phlebotomists, ekg, wound certificate etc. Then getting on your own the NPI number online to getting certification in not one ☝🏼 but multiple states to work. Working for yourself. Then learned to do your own billing and coding. Damn woman you are a worrier and you like to grow. At the end you’ve over excel in it all. I love it you are such an inspiration to all women. God bless you thank you for sharing your journey and helping others. Greetings from TN. ☀️

    I am so glad I came upon your video. I have been a Lpn for 11 years now. The last 5 years I found my love for wound care. I work for a home health company and noticed that for each visit the company would make $125 while I made only $30 per visit 🤔. You have given me the knowledge I need to get things started. Thank you so much.

    She's absolutely right. In 2021 I made close to 100k as an LPN only 2 years out of school (worked in healthcare for 10+ years) and I don't even have all the credentials she has. I am going back to school now and also getting those same certifications. Also I did the same thing spent so much money recklessly. Learning my lesson now I'm moving forward with more structure. This is a GREAT informative video. Thanks for keeping it 100. I def got some gems from this video I plan to use for sure.

    I was an LPN for several years before going on to my RN/BSN. Talk about a HUGE jump in pay!! I highly recommend going beyond being an LPN. LPN’s are very limited on what they can actually do.

    Good video! I am an RN of 30 plus years. Jobs really differ. Most of mine nurses have been treated as equals. A good nurse is a good nurse. A jerk is a jerk!!! I would never stand by quietly and allow an LPN or a new graduate RN or LPN be mistreated or bullied. There are great employers. Move on if you are not treated appropriately.

      Shaadai Patton Try Va nursing wherever you’re considering working. The pay very well. I’m M-F @ 61k & I work part time as a private duty nurse. Private duty allows me to work as little or as much as I want. Made 75k total for the year between both jobs.

    • @Tee-kk6tj
      @Tee-kk6tj 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ruththompson1296 there are home health agencies that hire nurses both Lpn & Rn to go into the home to take care of patients who’s family members want to keep them home but they need nursing care. Most of the patients are total care however it’s not too bad since it’s one patient. The patients have to have a medical issue that requires nursing care for 8-12 hours a day. The patient I was working with was a fall precaution, trach care, supplemental oxygen & she had cancer. However she could bath & dress herself with minimal assistance. The best client I ever had because most are bedridden.

    Hey! Glad to hear you made 100k before, just know you can deduct your expenses as a business. If you haven't already filed as an LLC or S corp you should do that before you start going off on your own. There is also a clause in section E I believe that allows you to be taxed as an S corp and file as an LLC, basically gives you 2 "entities" that are making money and thus reduces the taxes you owe. So your business could be making like 80k and you can be getting paid 20k but all the expenses are routed through the business so they are deductible provided they are reasonable. That includes flights, stays, continuing education, possibly gas mileage, 50 cents a mile depreciation on your car etc.
    nice to hear different ways to make money in nursing. I just changed careers last year, got my STNA last semester and am hoping to be enrolled into LPN or RN school this fall. I eventually want to go to CRNA but thats a long haul and costs a lot of money lets see what happens :D

    Your video was point on I have being encouraging my daughter to become a nurse. Within the next few weeks we should start our CNA. We both missed the enrollment for LPN nursing in 2020. I've been in Medical Billing for many years and was unaware a nurse could have an NPI...thank you so much for that information and the information about a compact license. I will due my part to research about the information you shared. Yes, it is easy to make a 100K and spend it before you know. I believe you're ready to be blessed again with 100K times ten. Hi! When you did travel nursing did you work three months straight, 7 days a week? And when you took two months off afterwards did you get benefits?

    I've made $90k plus for the last 3 years as an LPN.
    Required a lot of work but if you are willing to do the work the money is out there!
