- Hey guys welcome to today's video. in today's video I just purchased this 1986 Pontiac firebird. let's get it washed up and detailed bring it back to the shop and see if we can get this 2.8 multi-port fuel injection motor running and driving.
This 1986 Pontiac Firebird could also be a great base for a Knight Rider Kitt car build. Leave your comments below if you would like to see this car get turned into a kit Knight Rider replica build of the original 1982 Pontiac Trans Am Kitt car from Knight Rider.

Where can i get that hat and jacket bro? Love it
That's my logo for my TH-cam channel. I'm currently working on getting a Merch store attached and up and running for the channel. I'll definitely have it out soon.
Just up loaded a link to the Merch store I just added 👍🏻
I've got hats hoodies on there Monday I'll see what they have for Jackets to be added as well. Thanks for the suggestion 👍🏻
Thanks for restoring these great birds and putting them back on the road, where they belong 👍
No problem I had an awesome time working on this Firebird and getting it Up and running again. Next up for it metal work and paint looking to build a K.I.T.T car from this one
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
Glad to see another Firebird being saved. I love these cars.
I myself have 7 birds from 79 up till 01 so glad see you saving any bird I too hate see them get crushed or just disintegrated
Oh nice that's awesome I've definitely owned a few of these Firebirds and Trans Ams over the years. I'm looking forward to being able to put get this Firebirds painted and put back on the road👍🏻 owning 7 of them is sweet looks of nice cars over there I bet

I definitely would like to see this turned into KITT. Drop an LS1 or some other great small block in it as well!
100% definitely going to go with a Knight Rider build on this. I will have to Source the parts out and research some other kitt builds to find out exactly what I'm going to need for it. Should be a great build. 👍🏻
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated🙏 definitely going to need a LS swap something with more power for this car for sure
@@fullyloadedkustoms I can't wait to see the progress. I love your channel! Keep up the great work!
@@fullyloadedkustomsif it's the 305 get a good camshaft
Headers and some heads and you would be surprised how much more power you'd have
Roughly 400hp
That my plan with the 83 recaro edition I have
@@fullyloadedkustoms when you do will you share. I found a 86 in my area at a good price and wanted to turn it in to kit my self also
Knight rider yes, as long as it has the sliding red light bumper!!
I've been trying to source parts for it here for the past couple of days. I've been able to find the bumper. Interior parts are looking like they're going to be a bit pricey ahha but gonna figure it out and get er built into KITT
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated👍🏻
3d printer
@traymoochris that's a good idea I never really considered a 3D printer before to be able to print the parts I need that would probably be pretty cost-effective too. Thanks for leaving that suggestion👍🏻
I'm a straight guy. I see "Knight Rider" I click the "thumb up" button :D
I had a ton of requests for a Knight Rider car when I posted up my last will it run video on the 91 Firebird. So I thought this 1986 Firebird would definitely be a great candidate for a kitt car. I'll just have to research into where I'm able to buy all the parts that I would need to be able to build this replica now.
Thanks for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated👍🏻
@@fullyloadedkustoms Can't wait for the results. Keep it posted :D
@@adrianfrankowski138 definitely I've got a few paint jobs lined up over the winter that I'm going to do. I should be able to put some money aside from those and hopefully get the parts I need to make this into a K.I.T.T car 👍🏻
👍👍👍🏆🏆🏆THIS FIREBIRD IS DEFINITELY A 💎 IN THE ROUGH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Yeah this Firebird is definitely going to make a great project car I'm looking forward to the chance to get to rebuild it. I really liked that original Maui blue color that was originally on the car. It would have looked really nice on that car before someone rattle can painted it black.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
I love the way you make this bad boy breathing again some hope to be back on the road.
Same here I'm really glad I was able to pick this Firebird up and get it running and driving again. It's definitely going to need a little bit more power behind those Wheels now to turn it into a Knight Rider Kitt car.
What a great video, that blue color is killer, can't wait to see what you do with it.👍👍👍👍
Thanks really appreciate that. Yeah that's what I was saying too the blue color underneath was such a nice color I don't know why somebody would go and rattle can paint over top of a color like that it's a shame. But it's definitely going to make a really good Knight Rider Kitt car replica build
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
Definitely a Kitt project car! 👍
Yeah it would definitely make for a great K.I.T.T project definitely give some new life this Firebird
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated. Also have a great Christmas
NIce dash pad! it is pretty rare to see them in that good of condition! One thing to remember is that the reason GM didn't put the 350 in front of the T5 was because the cases would break under the torque. Another thing to keep in mind is that the 2.8 has a different bellhousing than a SBC, so you would have to find a 305 bell housing for it and then detune the 350 or grandpa it around to keep from grenading the T5. I put a LT1 style T56 behind a 2005 junkyard LQ4 in my 89 GTA and it is a wonderful combination- i would highly recommend going that route- I got the engine for $180 from Pick-a-Part and the trans for $1400 on ebay but the accessories and exhaust can eat your lunch if your not careful- need a LS1 intake and all the accessories, Hawks conversion headers, and a custom flywheel/clutch setup to get the older T56 to bolt up. You also need to cut a part of the bellhousing off the bottom to get the larger ring gear to fit. But Ive been romping on it for 2 years without issue.
Yeah it's definitely surprising to see them and not too bad of shape there's a couple small cracks on it but nowhere near as bad as some of the other ones I've seen. Perfect this is good information to know, I was definitely thinking I was going to need some V8 parts for that conversion to work properly. Yeah that definitely sounds like a good combo for sure I'll definitely have to put something good in this car once I get to that part. Give it some more power behind those Wheels.
Thanks again for watching and leaving the comments about what to look for in Transmission swaps and what I'll Need to do much appreciated for that information 👍🏻
Hopefully he will get that 86 bird back to the beautiful blue it was. Wow! What a find, that body style was the best for the Bird!!
That Maui blue color that was originally on this Firebird is such a nice blue I can't believe that somebody would take a rattle can and paint over top of it definitely a waste. If I paint this car and don't do a Kitt Build on it, it's definitely going back to that original maui blue color
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated👍🏻
4th season Kitt is about $20k+ in parts. It’s what I’m trying with my 91 formula. Can’t wait to see it.
Oh damn really 20K in parts that's wild I didn't think it was going to be that much haha I thought Maybe if it was sent into a body shop etc. Going to have to get some extra work going here and flip some cars to save up. Where's the best place to get parts for K.I.T.T ?
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
Knight industries of Kentucky is a good one in the USA. There are a couple out of Italy, but one is a con artist. There is also one from England and another from Finland.
Yeah that's a good bird 😁
Yeah I am definitely happy I was able to pick this one up it's definitely going to make a great car for sure. Finish up some paint jobs here over the winter put some money aside and see if I can Source out all the parts I'll need to build a K.I.T.T car
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
And a kitt car would be awesome, great video, Yeee😃
I had a ton of requests for a Knight Rider Kitt car build on the 91 Firebird Revival video. Definitely thinking that this 86 will make a great kitt Knight Rider replica build. Should be a lot of fun I just have to source and find all the parts I need for it now over the next little while.
@@fullyloadedkustoms I agree👍
Great car thank you for listed video brings back childhood dream car memories
Awesome I'm happy to hear this, I can't wait to get started on these 3rd gen Firebirds and Camaros. Get them rebuilt and back on the road again.
I personally would love to see it restored to it's original blue, and keep it stock. I always liked that blue paint job.
Yeah that Medium blue Maui color is such a nice blue metallic. I can't believe that someone took of can of rattle can black and painted over top of such a nice color. If I go back original it's definitely going back to that blue paint job looks soo good. It also has an original dealership decal on the back bumper I found after blasting away some of that black at the car wash haha. Cool to know it's originally from this town

She sounds great. I had 5 of these cars over a 5 year period. My favorite was the 89 Firebird Formula. I never had a Trans Am👍🏿😊
Oh nice that is awesome! what color was your 89 Firebird formula? I used to have a 83 Trans Am in high school that was Red/Grey lots of great memories in these 3rd gens
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments is greatly appreciated 👍🏻
@@fullyloadedkustoms YEAH! Sounds dope! I had a white with the bottom quarters red striping and dark grey around the bottom. She was my baby.
@@fullyloadedkustoms Your welcome bro.✌🏾
@jarmelo2006 yeah it was a fun car to hava. Nice that's awesome, it reminds me of my buddy Nick's white 89 formula he had in high school. Awesome cars to have look they look great 👍🏻
Beautiful !
Thanks I'm definitely looking forward to being able to restore another firebird. And a kit build would be a fun project for this one
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
Kitt will be an awesome project 👍
Yeah Kitt would be a fun project to do. I was thinking about using this one here although I am looking at picking up I think it's an 82/83 Trans Am. And that one would also be a good base for thr car too already have the hood/Bumper taillights etx and V8. Needs to totally be redone but I'm definitely thinking one needs to be turned into a kitt for sure. Just need to Source out the parts put some money aside from these paint jobs I'll be doing over the winter.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
Love it, that V6 sounds sweet !! You're so lucky coming across all these 3rd Gens !
Yeah I was surprised that V6 actually sounds pretty decent. I'm pretty fortunate that I've been doing Rural internet installs for the 7 years I've come across tons of classic cars down back roads that no one else knows about. Got this one for a pretty good deal picked this up for $500 without the keys pretty much sight unseen other then the back bumper.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated🙏
@@fullyloadedkustoms They do sound really good for a V6. My '88 Firebird has a 2.8 too. BEst sounding 6 cylinder I've ever heard
@nicksspeedshop8664 yeah definitely it has a really great sound for a V6 and as far as I'm aware that's even the stock muffler on there too.
@@fullyloadedkustoms Yeah mine has the stock muffler still too. Its great for what it is, for cruising its more than good enough. I might get a aftermarket muffler eventually but I can't afford a V8 swap over here. I think I commented before, just a 20 y/o from europe. The prices are hell over here sadly
I grew up in the late '80s and early '90s. The sound of that V6 engine brings back lots of memories when so many GM cars of that era used the same engine and made that exact sound
Awesome, I used to have a 1983 Camaro sports coupe in high school it also had the V6 definitely brought back a lot of memories. For a V6 it definitely sounds pretty good too.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated👍🏻
Thanks for saving another 3rd gen. I had a 87 with the 2.8. Fixed up the front suspension, did a tune up and serviced the transmission. It was no muscle car with that tiny V6, but it handled great and would bury the needle on the speedometer. Miss that car.
For sure no problem I have plans to hopefully save another three of them here this summer too. Oh nice that's sweet what color was your 87?
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
What a great find on a good running driving firebird!! Yes a Kitt car would be great. Watched knight rider as a kid and always wanted a firebird. Maybe one day..
Definitely was a really good find on this one. Glad I came across it while I was out doing my internet installs. Ended up getting this for $500 pretty much sight unseen. It's going to make a great candidate for a K.I.T.T knight Rider car.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated👍🏻
That would be so cool to turn it into a kitt car
Yeah that's what I was thinking it would make a really cool Kitt car build. I had a lot of requests and suggestions on the 91 Firebird Revival video to turn the blue 91 into a kit car. So I'm thinking this one right here would make a perfect candidate for that build
I have a firebird with a 2.8L like yours and I have always enjoyed it just the way it is. You have others with a bigger engine. Just bring that one back to life fully with the engine you have in it. The problem you are developing is that you are collecting lots of cars but none are done and if you continue to proceed like this, none will be done. Bring one all the way back with nice seats, nice paint, so you have at least one car you can show off and drive everywhere then move onto the next one.
I had a 94 Formula that was British Racing Green and a Black 98 Trans Am, miss that car. I also had a 86 Fiero GT and 88 Fiero Formula with the same engine and another 86 Fiero GT with a 3.8 SC V6 in it.
Oh nice you definitely do not see too many Firebirds or Trans Ams in a green color that would have been cool to see. There's another car I don't see too many around of either is a Pontiac Fiero those are cool, the one guy around this area has one that was turned into a Lamborghini Countach kit car. It's still got the 2.8 V6 in it.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
good job,.... keep going... kit car would be fun to watch happen....
Hey thanks I really appreciate that. I think a KITT car would definitely make for a really fun project. I've been able to pick up some of the 82 Trans Am parts already for it. Just need a source of some of the KITT specific parts for the car. And start saving for the build 👍🏻
K.I.T.T. car build? (Grabs popcorn and soda) Hell yeah!!!
It would definitely make a great K.I.T.T build just need to source all the special parts I need for it and see figure out a build budget on it. If I do a K.I.T.T build then I'm definitely going to have to get another Firebird and Make a K.A.R.R. build as well.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
@@fullyloadedkustoms Take it easy, make a series on it, many videos, and since you're considering building K.A.R.R., why not Goliath also?😆
@@fullyloadedkustoms No worries, man! I love this stuff, so, if I leave a comment, is 'cause I really like the content.

One thing to remember the spark plug cables and on Pontiac firebirds trip engine error codes by dealer cables yes 200.00 sounds like a lot but they won't crack and cause arcing
Oh really I didn't know that that's something to remember, I'm definitely pretty sure I will be pulling this 2.8 and putting in either a 350 or a 383 would be really nice
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated👍🏻
Those old 2.8s had distinctive sound, i always liked.
Yeah that 2.8L actually has a really nice sound to it and from my knowledge, it's a stock muffler on there too and it's sounding that good

I miss my 1986 Firebird that I got in the late 90's, my ex got her in the devorce.
Oh that's too bad she ended up with the firebird what color was your Firebird you had? Hopefully you get the chance to enjoy another one👍🏻
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
Yeah it was upsetting. this was back in 1999 and I only paid $1,200 and it was in great shape inside and out. It was either let her have that or my first new car that I bought, which was a Plymouth Neon. I didn't want to give her the new car, because I could always get a Trans Am or Firebird. I really would like to get my hands on a 1982 Trans Am. You're welcome, and i will be watching more of your videos. @@fullyloadedkustoms
You are like a Firebird hunter 😀👍
Definitely, I've been hunting down these 3rd gens. Great easy car to work on, and the parts are readily available for them and affordable too. Looking forward to restoring these cars getting them painted and put back on the road.
Fantastic 👍🏼👍🏼

Hey thanks I appreciate that. I'm looking forward to getting started on the Knight Rider project. Would be cool to make. A movie car Replica
A KITT car would definitely be cool. I would love to see it. Maybe an ls swap, true duals, long tubes
Yeah a K.I.T.T build would definitely be fun. I've got a few paint jobs over the winter to do. Put some money aside from those and Source out the parts for this build. True duals would be sweet, they made it so tight on these cars to get the duals but it can definitely be done

i have 4 -1984 ,3- 1985, and 5 -1986 firebirds , great cars to fix up and seeing yours here is nice to see as well , great video awsome thanks for sharing
Thanks, that's awesome 👍🏻 definitely can't have too many 3rd gen Firebirds. They are definitely great cars to fix up they're easily affordable. The parts are affordable for them. And they also draw lots of attention when they're out cruising. And lots of people have great memories of these cars too.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments is greatly appreciated👍🏻
I love it.. I had an 86 with the 2.8 and 5 speed manual, was my favorite car I owned as a young man.. I always wanted to put a supercharger on the 2.8 because honestly, it was the toughest, most reliable little engine.. I drove the piss out of it… and other than a water pump once, it never left me stranded. I’d love to find another one myself… do it justice!!! ☺️ as for the 91, was never a fan of those noses… it would make a great KITT clone.
Nice that's right on what color was the 86 Firebird that you had? I have been hearing that from a lot of people that these 2.8 L v6s were really reliable. I used to have an 83 camaro sports coupe and it had the 2.8 V6 carburetor motor definitely put some serious miles on that car. If I do not do a kit build on this car I would love to paint it back to that original Maui blue color I think would look really great on it.

We have a 1990 Pontiac firebird 3.1, a longer stroke version of the 2.8. it's a 4 speed automatic with overdrive and the color is white, my grandparents bought it Brand new and even today it still looks brand new. Everything is original, we have had issues with the engine of stalling/starting and rough idle issues from time to time but when fixed it runs good. And it will remain in the family for many years to come, I've always loved this generation firebird. Something about the style always catched my eye. Idk i feel like you should fix this up and keep it stock, I'm sure many people will disagree and will probably tell me it needs a v8. But i feel this v6 engine is kinda a unique engine, it may not be as reliable or as fast as the v8 but for what it is it's decent, and gets pretty good mpg on long drives if it runs properly.
That's awesome that yous still have that Firebird in your family especially after all the years that's so cool. If I do fix them up and go with something othwr then a kit car. I would definitely love to paint it back to that orginal Maui Blue color that was on the color I'm sure that looks really good. The 2.8V6 from what I've heard in the comments is pretty much a bullet proof engine
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
My parents had a couple chevy celebrities that had this same 2.8liter with the Multi Port Fuel Injection, they had pretty respectable power for their displacement and as others have said, that exhaust note is just awesome! Wish I could get the 3.8 in my 96 RS to sound like that!
Yeah exactly I was surprised too it's been a while since I've heard one of these but for a V6 it definitely sounds really good especially with it being only a stock muffler on there too.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
that would make an awesome kitt
I definitely think it would make it really cool KITT Build. I've already gone ahead and sourced out some parts I'll need for it ive got the rear bumper and the tail lights. And also already have found a front bumper cover for as well

Love the third gen firebirds. I currently own four third gens. All 1989s, two formula 305 hard tops, and two formula 350 t-tops. Three are Maui blue and one is black. Love these cars, very fun to cruise around in. Knight rider was how I got hooked on firebirds. I also own three fourth gens,98, 00 and an 02 WS6. 👍🇺🇸
Nice that's awesome all Same year too sweet my buddy Nick had a white 1989 Firebird Formula back in high school was a really sweet car lots of great memories there. Knightrider all the way doing two myself
Oh nice that's awesome do you have a TH-cam channel as well? I would be sure to check that out to follow those builds. Gives me some ideas of the things that all Need for mine.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated🙏
Making this a KITT on the outside would be amazing, I think you'd need the KITT nose (there are a few different ones depending on which season nose you are going for, the YT channel Knight Rider Historians has a video on that), the rear bumper, the hood, and the taillights. You got the correct rear spoiler already and the Firebird is a good base for it as it doesn't have that bulky looking body kit that '85+ Trans Ams have.
I've been able to Source a good place for the front bumper for a K.I.T.T build. Also picked up a set of tail lights and a bumper that were off in 82 Firebird in the Pick-n-Pull. Just need to find a Trans Am Hood front fenders and those style rally rims. For the exterior of the vehicle paint and body work for me is not a problem I do all that. It looks like the hardest aspect would be tracking down all the interior components of the car for a build.
@@fullyloadedkustoms The question is if you really want to make a complete conversion with interior parts - especially if they are supposed to work properly. It certainly looks cool, but its usefulness regarding driving the car is debatable :D.
Best of luck with your KITT project!!!
Thanks I appreciate that. I had a lot of requests on my 91 Firebird Revival video for a K.I.T.T car. This one will definitely make a great candidate for the Knight Rider car.

Turn it into a K.I.T.T. car! That would look so good!
Yeah that's what I definitely love to do I found the turbo style wheels for it recently just waiting to hear a reply on Facebook Marketplace. And it was just out picking up a Trans Am turbo hood for it today.
the that 86, to a kitt is the best thing for that car, that engine sound great though, 👍
Exactly that's why I'm thinking too it would make an awesome kitt car Replica. Yeah it was really surprising how good that V6 was sounding. I'm thinking it sounds better than the 83 z28 Camaro I just picked up
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
Yup turn it into a kit car but make it faster and better
Awsome! I'd restore the car and leave the drivetrain alone! Those V6 engines were great motors. This will make a great cruiser.
Yeah that's what a few people have been telling me now that those 2.8 liters were pretty much bulletproof engines and get you anywhere. Like you said it would probably definitely make a great Cruiser definitely be a lot easier on the fuel there too. And surprising enough for a V6 it sounds really good. I'm thinking that it actually sounds better than the 83 Camaro I just picked up lol

I have a white plain jane 87 Firebird bone stock with the 2.8 MPI V6 and a 1980, I love both Generations. The belt squealing on this V6 can be epic....Lol!
Oh nice that's awesome my buddy had a 1989 Firebird that was white back in high school. That's sweet to have a second gen and a third gen. I'm working on getting a 2nd as well. Just so happens to be the first car I ever painted my 1979 Trans Am was just listed for sale in Saskatchewan. Yeah those v6s I've been hearing I really really good Reliable Motors. And this one sounds really good too

@omar_Mukhtar thank you I appreciate that welcome to the channel. I will be doing full restore and rebuilds on the two Firebirds and the Chevy pickup truck that are in my shop right now. Those who make some fun videos for the channel coming up 👍🏻 should have another video out this week too
Yeee😃😃
Thanks for watching and leaving your comments much appreciated👍🏻
Love your new firebird 👍
Would love to see a K.I.T.T. Car made from this ‘86 Firebird. Interested in how to deal with the manual transmission since K.I.T.T. was an automatic. Still love that show! Thanks for posting!!
Yeah I agree it would definitely make for a great Kitt Build. I was thinking about swapping out the V6 manual/ 2.8L engine for a V8 combo give it some more horsepower it deserves
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
I currently own a 95 4th gen got to be good friends with a wrecking yard in the States and I stumbled across an 89 XS firebird 2.8 funny thing is it ran and the only 600 bucks got all my forward gears except reverse so I'm going to try to change the fluid but thanks for all the info on these third genes I really appreciate it
Oh nice that is sweet what color is your 95? The black Firebird I just picked up I was able to get for $500. Hopefully a fluid and filter change will get you all ready for the road again. Sometimes it's all needs to get going again
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments on the channel it's greatly appreciated
Awsome save those third gen need to be save i own a few of them over the years i have a 85 firebird s/e since 2012 and i love it !!
Continue your good work
100% agreed got to save these 3rd gens rebuild them put them back on the road and give them a new life. That's awesome that's the Red one in the profile picture? Looks good 👍🏻
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated👍🏻
Yes its the red one
And its plesure to Watch your Channel 🤟
@jaysgarage6011 nice I used to have a 1983 Trans Am in high school that was Red/Grey was the 1st 3rd gen Trans Am that I owned love those cars lots of awesome memories. Thanks I greatly appreciate that 🙏
Dude you are so right. You cannot have too many 3rd gen camaros or firebirds
100% can't have too many 3rd gens they're definitely great cars and from a lot of the comments that I've been getting on the videos people have lots of great memories in these and a lot of people had these cars back in high school just like I did.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
Yes
Looking forward to getting this 86 Firebird painted and put back on the road👍🏻
Thanks again for watching and leaving a comment it's greatly appreciated👍🏻
I'd say leave it in, that way it's stock. I miss my 91, but one day I'll have another :D
If I do go back to stock I will definitely 100% be painting it that Medium blue Maui color such a nice color can't believe someone rattle can painted it black. Nice would you be looking to pick up another 91 firebird?
What will you be left with after all of the work? I bought a fully documented 88 GTA from the original owner 15 years ago. It had 46k original miles. It has 74k now. Alwyas garaged 1988-2008 in the original owners garage and 2008 to current in mine. Always kept running. Never had junk stuffed in it. Never left outside in the elements. The reason I say is that rhe only 3rd gen worth anything is the GTA, Formula 350 or Firehawk. Maybe I'm doing something wrong by not restoring mine. Your channel is really inspiring and your enthusiasm is contagious. Rock on brother!
Oh nice that's sweet what color is your 88 gta? That's awesome to be able to have purchased that off the original owner of the car. Definitely sounds like you got a good Trans Am there.
Oh yeah like for example this one is just a standard minimal option 2.8 V6 Firebird. For me I enjoy rebuilding and restoring any kind of car it doesn't have to be numbers matching or high value I just like the process of being able to to build and restore something give it a second chance and get it back on the road
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated🙏
Mine is black on tan leather. It's an Upstate NY car and even though it hasn't been driven in the winter and been garaged, it's fallen victim to the elements anyway. It had the bad primer so the paint was in pretty bad shape in 08. I have a receipt from the dealer when the paint first started chipping off of the car in the first year. The dealer said it was acid rain causing it. Who knew car dealers weren't honest.?
I'll never be tired of admiring the lines of this car. Of course KITT is a legend but even the basic car looks friggin good when restored.
This one seems in rough shape... Still, good luck working on it.
It's definitely going to be a pretty fun build. I'll have no problems getting the exterior of the car put together. It Might be a bit harder trying to find some of the Interior components. I've already gone ahead and grab some 82 Trans Am parts for it already. And I've recently just found the front bumper for it.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated👍🏻
This is a car I think you should show off what you can do with the air brushing go crazy and show us what is in your imagination I'd love to see it
Thanks I definitely need to like lose and do some customization with the airbrush on a vehicle. Definitely would be really sweet to go all out custom painted on something maybe this one.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
You need to have weekly or at least twice a month videos.
Definitely trying to get some videos out here. Hahha been working two full time jobs the past month of October plus the 200miles of driving to job locations. But now that the seasons finished for painting the outdoor rodeo Arena. I'll be able to get started working on the vehicles again. I've got the 1980 Scottsdale pick up truck in the garage stripped down sandblasted and ready for body work right now. Have that video And will it Run on a 1983 Z28 Camaro as well coming up 👍🏻
Kitt car would be very nice
Definitely that's what I'm thinking too a KITT would make a awesome build.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
I would love to see you make it a kitt car
A kitt car would make a fun build for this one it would be cool to make a movie car replica.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
Another brilliant video I would like to see it rebuilt to a bone stock show car
Thanks much appreciated. That original Maui blue color that's underneath that rattle can black paint would make for a beautiful color on this car. If I were to go back to the stock color on it.

Nice video I had an 1982 trans am good times with it 😀 I got really nervous😮 when you dropped the car jack stands in sand be careful 😅
Yeah these firebird and Trans Ams have definitely brought back some good memories. Haha yeah it's on a packed down driveway. I definitely made sure it was stable before going underneath that haha.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
😀👍
I had a ton of requests on my 91 video for a Knight Rider car. Definitely thinking this 86 Firebird will make a great candidate for Kitt
Thanks for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated🙏
Kit Car !!!!!!
A KITT Build on this Firebird would be great. I've got some paint jobs coming up over the winter here. Put some money aside from those and see if I can source out all the parts I'll need for this one.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
For being a little 2.8 it actually sounds good lol.
Yeah it was definitely surprising for being only a V6 and actually has a really good sound to it I was not expecting that especially with the stock Muffler haha. I just picked up a 83 Z28 Camaro I wanna say that this V6 Firebird actually has a better sound to it lol
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated👍🏻
I love 3rd gen stuff :-)
Same here love the third gens Firebird Trans Am and Camaros. They were the first cars I had in high school 83 Camaro sports coupe and a 84 Trans am. Definitely looking forward to being able to put these cars back on the road.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
@@fullyloadedkustoms - A lot of respect for you. Those cars are really uncommon here in the netherlands, unfortunately. I'm glad you're trying your best to put them back on the road.
86 THIRD BRAKE LIGHT WAS AT THE TOP OF THE REAR HATCH, 87 WAS FIRST YEAR FOR SPOILER MOUNTED.
Yeah the owner I purchased it from had signed the bill of sale 1986 Firebird. I figured the glass may have broken and they just replaced the entire back hatch and I didn't think much of it. Until I received a few of these comments and started thinking maybe I'll double that VIN and yep its actually a 1988 Firebird
Thanks for watching and leaving your comments greatly appreciated👍🏻
You almost need a donor car to save the 86 with all the cancer and desire to do a motor swap. I've been messing with the f-body cars for over 30 years. Nine of my parts/projects I have parked around my workshop are 3rd gens, seven are 4th gens, and one is a 2nd gen. I round out the rest of the collection with three 57 chevy bel airs, a 85 K10, and a 68 Merc Cyclone GT. God only knows what will come and go from my collection day by day! Nice channel you got here and good luck with the 86 and 91 Birds!
Yeah the panels are definitely rusted on this one pretty good. I'm glad that I'm able to get the panels that are pretty decent price through Classic Industries. Should be able to cut and weld some new ones in no problem all the dents etc on the doors I can pull and hammer and dolly.
That's sweet can't have to many 3rd gens, these are getting popular again they were alot of peoples high school cars or first cars. And now are looking to get them back. Those 57 chevys are slick cars so much style in those. Mercury Cyclone there's a rare car I've only ever seen one of them out of all the car shows I've been to and like the last 15 years only came across one. Thanks I appreciate that 🙏
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated
@@fullyloadedkustoms Yeah, I hear ya! At least for now you can still get quarter panels for third gens. You are right that the third gens are growing in value. I just sold an 89 GTA that was a daily driver quality I put together for 6k a few months ago. Took some of that money and grabbed a rare 88 GTA notchback project and a 92 GTA project (with a dealer installed SLP performance pack) to play with. The Cyclone is so rare that they don't offer many aftermarket repair parts for it, so I'm stuck trying to track down other dead 68-69 Cyclones or Montego's for parts since it's sister the Ford Torino does not interchange.
@notyourtypicalchad6778 yeah exactly good thing you can get a bunch of parts for the third gens. But they're definitely going up in the value and a lot of people are seeking them out now I noticed. Oh that's sweet a notchback is pretty rare you don't see those around too often they made a small limit of those ones.
@@fullyloadedkustoms I believe they only made 716 factory notchback GTA's in 1988 and a very very few early 89 models got one. They are indeed rare, but the Holy Grails are those 89 Turbo Trans Ams you have to have a fat wallet for and the very limited production 91-92 Firehawk Formulas(think less than 14 3rd gen Firehawks were made? Could be wrong).
You got me wanting to find a old Fior Camaro. Im in Florida and just retired and need a project. From what I see you can buy one for reasonably priced
Yeah they're super affordable priced like this one here I picked up for $500. They are affordable to purchase not crqzy expensive for the parts you may needs like this for example. new quarter panels are like $225 each, fenders are like $150. Full interior kits to replace the stock seat covers the door panels headliner carpet are around $800. That's what I've sourced out and that's in Canadian dollars. A car like this one that's in this kind of shape I can totally redo and repaint etc. for around $2500 Canadian. To bring it back to an orginal shape. That's quarter panels, floor panels that are needed, tail lights etc new interior. Body work material Paints primer /base coat/clear coat etc. I do all the work myself so it saves a great deal not taking it to a shop And also swapping out to a V8/700R4 I've found 350/700R4 combos on Facebook market place for around $500-$800 for a running driving combination.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated 🙏
I hope you're able to find yourself a Camaro or Firebird project down there in Florida 👍🏻
Would make a lovely K.I.T.T replica car or K.A.R.R
Yeah that's definitely what I'm thinking is it's going to make a fantastic KITT replica just need to research all the parts I would need to build that car now. It'll definitely need a little bit more power behind those Wheels there too.
Thanks for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated👍🏻
Love the blue underneath = what a shame
Yeah exactly that's what I said too, the blue underneath it is a super nice color. After all that paint had blown off when I was washing it on the rear bumper I even noticed a decal of the original dealership it was sold at. It turns out it was sold in the town that I am living in. It's pretty cool to be able to bring this Firebird back to where it was once originally sold from the dealership.

Awesome job, what I'd give to see a firebird parked on a driveway whilst doing my rounds 😂
Thanks much appreciated, haha I always duck down the back alleys of these small towns when I'm out doing my installs I usually find some classics that have been parked and forgotten about or the people have lost interest in. And they are more then willing to make a few bucks by letting them go.
Thanks again for watching and leaving your comments it's greatly appreciated👍🏻
I have an 83 camaro i put a lq4 6.0 into. I highly recommend it, lol. It's about to get a t56 to replace the 4l65e. Even a stock 6.0 in these cars makes them get down.
Awesome I will definitely have to remember that. It would be nice to to put something with a little more power and get up and go under the hood of the Camaro.

Lmao Rob 😂 when you first showed the video I thought it was right hand drive car 😂😂 don’t know how ya did it but it went back on the proper side cool Camara trix 👍
Oh hahhaa yeah I use my cell phone to record and make the videos, so it wasn't edited properly to fix the recording from the front camaro hahah, I don't know how many people though my 91 firebird was a right hand drive 😅 😄 I've got that fixed up in the new videos now lol.

I have all sorts of ideas for that car I have built it in my head for years, it would be cool to be left stock , but I remember not much power but I had so much fun, idea idea I almost made made happen was a bought a i think it was a 86 Camaro running and driving v 6 , black nice car just dirty, and was trying to get a wreaked iroc but this guy wanted a lot for his iroc , I was going to put all the iroc engine, transmission, etc, in the 2.8 Camaro and keep it stock looking, but in didn’t happen, 🙂, love these cars Yeee 😃😃😃😃
That's awesome I will definitely have to pick up another one and build a sleeper vehicle out of it where it looks like it's a stock either Sport coupe Camaro or a stock firebird and just have like a 454 or something crazy under the hood would make for a sweet build too. It's a lot of fun working on these cars because they're very affordable to get all the parts needed to build one.

@roycervantes1341 definitely, I like working on these 3rd gen Firebird/Camaros/Trans Am they definitely bring back a ton of memories from when I was in high school
I would take something like this over a Mustang any day…
Nice definitely have to appreciate the classics. I was just out today picking up a turbo Trans Am hood for it

lol, the 2.8 was on of the few motors where I'd take EFI over carb. The carb those came with was the most godawful Frankenstein's monster I've ever seen. 😂
Yeah it definitely needs an upgrade under that hood would love to be able to get a 383 stroker for it that would make a fun car.

THose engines may not have the most hp but they are reliable and same thing about the car. They are not known to leave you stranded.
I was seeing a lot of those exact comments when I was reading up on them. Lots of people out there were saying that they are pretty bullet proof engine's.

Your key reminded me of when Jroc sells Julian the 74 firebird and he asks for the keys and he hands him a screwdriver 😂😂😂
Hahaa that's gold Classic Jroc hahah that's the universal keys right there fit any steering column guarantee haha.

If you end-up selling it, I'll be waiting to see a pricetag on a KITT/Car. We could use another-one in the GTA/Ontario!
out of rhe 3 cars I'm definitely going to build and sell two so I can roll that back into the channel to grow. I will definitely have something posted when I do. Ahhh nice I'm originally from Pembroke Ontario, been down to GTA lots used to go the Dark Knights car show in Markham Ontario when they used to run that back in the early 2000s
Thanks again for watching and leaving your paint suggestion it's greatly appreciated
Man I wish I could find me a car like that I love those old cars but the one I would like to have is 78 trans am
Yeah I'm pretty fortunate I've come across a ton of classic cars while I've been out doing my internet installations over the last few years I know where there is a lot of them haha. There's one 77/ 78 Trans Am I know of and a 77/78 Firebird that I would love to eventually pick up to redo. Can't remember if the Trans Am had a motor or not. The Firebird didnt either one would be a sweet Car to build. The first car I ever painted was my 79 Trans Am. So definitely like seeing these Trans Ams/Firebirds put back on the road.

@@fullyloadedkustoms I really enjoy your videos and love how you get these old cars running again I’m a subscriber
@jessieleonard8398 thanks I greatly appreciate that welcome to the channel 👍🏻 I can't wait to paint on these cars. I plan to do a full start to finish series on each of the vehicles I get going. I plan to take them from not running to running and driving, stripping them down, repainting them, and getting them put back on the road. The 1980 Scottsdale truck I recently got running and driving after 26 years, I've got stripped down in my shop right now getting it ready for metal and body work.
@jessieleonard8398 when I grow my channel big enough I would really like to travel around and help subscribers with their classics get them running and driving painted and put back on the road would be cool to be able to do for people
