Dude... the 'Beaver King' bit at the end damn near killed me. I was taking a drink when you said that and I almost died. Freaking awesome. Long Live King Barb!
This is how they did it in the 50s and 60s. Make it work. Not everything has to be a resto or highly modded. Or perfect. Love seeing these kinds of videos.
I think you should have a father - son episode where your three dads( Tony,Stone,Barb) assist on a project . We all might learn something. Maybe next spring around Fathers day!
Thanks for this video today. It's such a cool thing to see you and Barb and his Dad fix the SikeClone. My Ma would have been 81 today. This is the first year that I couldn't wish her a Happy Birthday. She died Aug 23, 2024. What a welcome respite from the crap all of us go thru on a weekly basis. Thanks, and thanks again.
Halfway through my cold snack and 10 minutes into the episode I realize that you put an episode out for one of your most asked for projects on this channel while you are out doing one of the most asked for team ups on the car Internet so well played sir thank you as always
So I bought Brunt boots and work pants told them that I never heard of them till your TH-cam channel recommend them. As you can tell we do lawns/landscaping ect. I'm 55 and have tried alot of boots in my life. I LOVE THESE. So we spent around 480 bucks and it is worth it.
That’s money well spent, I don’t mind paying for American made products, sure you could find something cheaper but in the end that’s exactly what you’ve got. I’ve been considering a pair of them. When my current pair give out imma buy a pair. I’m wearing Thorogood and they are great!
I've got a 4.3L with 269k miles on it, just drove it today. Looking forward to learning more about the more modern 4.3's (fuel injected - just to see the differences). Really like the level and amount of the music when its time for it. Good songs to keep the energy up. Barb and Dad finishing it out!
I wonder if the time ever comes, how an awd envoy or bravada drivetrain would work in there with that 4.2l with some sort of turbo. It might not even be a thing, as at least the front is a strut and cv joints... can't remember the rear
@@StayTunedTA I believe u made a boo-boo on the name... shouldn't it be "Psyche-clone"?? As in, you know.... "Yeah, its a real OEM Cyclone... Psyche!!!" (prob didn't have to explain that, but...) CHEERS!!
Good buddy of mine won a hobby stock Championship at the local dirt track, with an engine that we had pretty much cobbled together from leftovers of his other four blown up Motors... It was literal junk. He managed to get 3rd in his first heat and advance to the final, we went down one jet size and sent it. He drove his butt off, won the race, pulled it into the trailer, and it sat for a couple months. He went to pull it off the trailer in the spring and it had no compression. Pulled it apart and it had melted all 8 Keith black pistons.😂
Got a little further into the video and if I had to guess what caused that wasn’t detention it was the ring end gaps expanding from heat and touching. They pop the top off like that .
It’s late here in Europe and I’ve been pacing waiting for this episode to drop 😅 I was not disappointed - great banter, cylinder art, and Beaver king Snr & Jnr bringing it home 💪
Really enjoyed watching Barb and his old man turn wrenches together. His dad is a natural in front of a camera too. Hope he keeps making regular appearances.
Tony to Stone,..."If you have any questions about the 1st Honeymoon night, you let me know". "Going from 4 inches to 8 inches is a win". - Famous Tony Angelo quote
Tony, if you take a bic lighter and light it in the bore , it will show you any cracks in the block. It's unbelievable how they will show up opposed to a work light. I learned that from an engine builder years ago
Hitting like before the pre-roll ads even finished, but that poor motor was screaming for EFI, proper break-in and solid tune. The potential for that setup is pretty sick! Great vid as always
Always good watching you guys work, thrash, eat pizza, and go fast. Love the family time with Barb and his Dad! Working on cars with my dad is some of the best times.
this guy should be sleeping right no from being out on drag week but still drops his weekly video, your the man tony! hope you and finnegan had a good time
Man alive! Tony's Dad last week, and Barb's Dad this week!!! How cool is that then, eh? It makes this old Greybeard feel {vicariously} well-appreciated, indeed. Barb, your Pappy is a 100% USDA Premium hoot! I love his whole "Still just one of the Boys" demeanor. And the closeness you gents enjoy is a mirror image of how tight I was with my own Dad, right up to the day he passed. It's a beautiful thing, and quite worthy of me buying you dudes another virtual beer, shot, or both. This toast is for you two!!!🍻🥃🍻 As for the little red wagon, it's great to see it coming back from the dead once again. About midway through this episode, the thought occurred to me. Would adding a cheap intercooler to the turbo system boost performance a bit more, or hinder it? Might bear looking into - an intercooler made the '87 Buick GNX a true Monster of the tarmac, after all. Thanks for yet another GREAT show, my Good Friends!! Barb, next time your Pappy come for a visit, why not have him roll up in your NOVA!!! Just sayin' - you already know about my kinkyness for early Chevy II's.....🤩 KUTGW!!!😎
I have done that exact same hack priming the oil with the rubber hose extension and it did the exact same thing. Then I grabbed one of the old pushrods and stuck it in the rubber hose to keep it from collapsing. It worked perfectly. WELL DONE!!
Thank you for spending the kind of money 90% of us have,(Not much) and also doing what a normal person would, using spare parts not ordering a brand new set of forged pistons because you can. You're the best Tony!❤😅
Tony! Met you at &Martin Michigan and asked, Where’s the merch!” I went on the web site and everything is sold out! Please replenish! Love the channel! Please keep posting these great videos. They are a blast!
Thanks for shooting straight and addressing the piston offset mistake. The correction of and attention given to easily made mistakes is where I find the most value in your videos. Keep up the good work. I may have made the same mistake myself, but thanks to your video I’ll be less likely to repeat the oversight.
The cheap down and dirty is usually the best and the fastest for some reason.. let's go everything y'all do ii fill like the every day guy can do that is why i love to watch
This is some great stuff!! It's not too far of something i would do my self like re-using head gasket in something not so important. Gives home garage vibes!!😂😂👍👍
I am a Honda guy. I have a 2000 Accord coupe 2.3L with manual. My favortie car. Unfortunately, I have to rebuild the bottom end of my engine after putting on a brand new head last year. I wish I had your guys skillz, shop, and tools. I'm a pizza guy with a racing problem too. Thank you for the content and humor!
Barb did awesome hosting while Tony was away👍 and massive shout out to Barbs dad, team work makes the dream work👍
Absolutely! Barb and his pops killed it.
Barbs dad is super cool and a great fit. Great video this week.
It is sweet to work with your Dad on a project! Keep on wrenching!
You should definitely have Barb's dad join you more often. The father son duo was (also!) a joy to watch.
It absolutely was.
100% agree
Dad's are Dad's.......
100%. Get Papa Angelo back as well!
Definitely agree
Barb’s dad FTW! Bring him back more often!
Glad you enjoyed!

That part was freaking hilarious! 🤣
Same here 😂😂😂 greetings from Poland btw ;) 🇵🇱
Always knew he had it in him.
Between Tony's dad last week and Barb Sr this week, the veteran presence (and banter) has been great!
Glad you enjoy!
Nothing is more enjoyable than wrenching on cars with our dads. Shout out to all the ole’ guys out there….without them, we wouldn’t be car nuts!

This engine was completely built using "gravel driveway - gotta run by Monday" specs and I'm here for it.
Barb the Beaver King...I would totally embrace that title!! Perfect 👌😃

He sure is, Stone rules!
Thanks dude. 🤘
