Ive mentioned this before...BUT THANK YOU FOR EDITING IN THE PRICES!!!! Not knowing prices really ruins auction vids, and you do a great job of adding the extra context
Hey guys, not related. Y'all mentioned Wess, does he still do videos, all I get is old stuff. Love both channels, watch all night and learn a ton, thanks!
That's an M920 AM General, 400 Cummins. 16 speed semi automatic air shift transmission. Yes it's all wheel drive. Pulled a D7G out of a tank wash, up the ramp, from a dead stop ( used the water cannon to get the mud out of the tracks) in 7th gear. Tough truck, and a powerhouse for such a small engine. 93-97 had one as my assigned piece of equipment. And that's a 40 ton hydraulic winch.
I loved the M916/M920s. I liked the M916A1/A3s with the Detroit Series 60 but I hated the Allison slush box. They never pulled the same as that Big Cam 400/Cat 7155!
Thanks for adding the auction prices!! That’s another thing that you and Area Diesel Service do well. Include prices wherever you can to your work, within reason, it adds realism to your presentations.
For sure! I enjoyed the video! It’s always great to see the auctions and the "new" equipment transported home. But I have to admit, watching you drive onto that trailer with the rotten wood gave me a bit of pain. It seems like it might be causing some more damage to the equipment’s tires-like puncturing them with bolts in multiple spots. I noticed the tire even came off the rim. That expensive tire might have been salvageable, but now the chances are lower. Apologies for the criticism, but I couldn’t hold back this time! Maybe next time, a bit more preparation could help prevent these kind of not so good things. I'm looking forward for the upcoming inspections, repairs and TLCs. Be careful with the oil drains ;)
Yes, Time to replace the Wood deck on your Lowboy Trailer. Get your saw Mill out & cut some thick Boards for the Lowboy so you can safely use it till you find the no ground Load Lowboy to replace it with.
I can help you out and identify your new Loaders! Both of those are German O&K (Orenstein & Koppel) L25 from the early 90th (probably '91 for '92) They were sold as Kabelco WLK25 in the US. Those aircooled Deutz Engines are absolutely bulletproof. Never leave you hanging. The little Clark Forklift is also pretty nice. Needs little work but will work better for your purposes than the Toyotas. The AM General us are absolut Diamond! Leave him like he is and use him. This Thing is awesome! I hope my Loader Identifying is helpful for you Cheers from Germany 🇩🇪
O&K made all sorts of cool stuff! These days they don't much any more, their divisions went to Terex (later Cat), KONE, Tadano, New Holland (now CNH) and so forth. They even built boats and thousands of steam engines.
Please never stop introducing yourself at the start of the videos. I think it's a nice, down to Earth opener and kind of sums up the whole Diesel Creek vibe 👍✔
agreed. and i really like the intro drone shot and music. and the truck drive-over shot. well done. more of meatball and roscoe antics (get that beachball out) would be nice though! ?
Without a doubt it's the M920 for me. They are beasts. 8x6 drive sitting behind 400hp of Cummins... and a 45,000lb hydraulic winch on the back. And the extremely heavy duty 5th wheel. Keep it intact. Don't part it out. The semi-automatic takes a bit of getting used to, but once you've been in it a bit you'll be shifting like butter.
Hi Matt, whatever you do don’t change how you do your auctions or how you do you content . Always go with your gut and never be persuaded to do it any other way. Just be yourself and being who you are. Your vids are what brings us to your channel.
@@s1914 that old girl isn’t built for speed she is to get where others can’t even think to try. Give her the respect she deserves build it up at very least. Build it up and flip it.
Ok Matt, you asked for our thoughts on what you would be doing with the auction finds. So here they are: - I think you'll keep the all wheel drive semi. It'll get you out of places you didn't think you'd ever go with a semi. And it's unique enough to be a D.C. keeper. If you can figure out how to add AC to the cab, and maybe more comfortable air cushioned suspension seats, it could edge out the Autocar as your main hauling machine! Being an ex Army truck, I hope it has power steering! - I think you'll make the most profit on the excavator, if you can find someone who needs a monster like it. - The two loaders will turn a good profit, but probably not as much as the excavator. Hopefully you can just fix their tires and won't have to replace them. Replacing them would be big $$$. Do they make tubes big enough to fit those rims and tires? - It'll be interesting to see if the skid steer is in good enough shape to be an upgrade for you, or whether you'll be flipping it. - I hope the forklift runs and all functions work without too much repair. You had me really cringing when you liftedthe forklift by the roll cage and one of the uprights was obviously flapping in the breeze (which you probably couldn't see because it was on the far side). I'm glad you eventually decided to lift it from the bottom instead. - I thought for sure the last purchase at the RB auction was going to be that bridge inspection trailer, but you fooled me and got the excavator instead. What did the inspection trailer go for? - Get that low-boy deck fixed soon! Maybe a quick winter project in the shop, with your own lumber milled from trees on the farm. Cheers from Oregon, Philip
I was also super curious about the bridge inspection trailer so I looked it up, went for 3750 so probably more than what he wanted to spend for scrap value.
@@PatsPurposefulPutzing wondered abot that as well, although I have to say, I could not see anymore at the end of the video, what clearly looked like a crack before.
Oh, by the way, I really think your trailer is now in dire need of redecking. Put that sawmill to use. Would make a good video. I’ve been watching you for years, and I always enjoy it. Thanks Matt!
Okay, so the obvious thing to start off with is that even my wife, a 78-year-old girly-girl, gets caught up in watching your channel with me. So, 'loved by all' in our household. I usually watch on our tv and haven't yet figured out how I can 'like' or 'comment' without being on my laptop. Maybe it's NOT possible. So here I am on my computer. This was a great show. AGAIN.
You stole the Hitachi for $20k. The truck is a keeper (super cool), and the two air-cooled loader engines are generally bulletproof. I have an old Libebherr 921 tracked loader with a six-cylinder, nine-litre air-cooled Deitz engine in the UK. It's a fantastic old machine. It's low maintenance and never needs easy start, even in the middle of winter. Great videos

Hi Matt and viewers... First time commenting. I don't know which trait is most admirable: equipment knowledge, energy presented in videos, peer network, and especially business savvy. Aren't you married too? I've made too many bad money decisions and my wife, beautiful though she is, is hardly understanding of my too many interests with too little time (and money!). Kudos to what you take time to present to us with your editing, which is no small task added on to all of your other work. I hope you have moments to pause and enjoy yourself and breathe in that fresh rural air. Stay safe and thank you for the content!
Think it’s fair to say the first thing in the shop for repair is that low loader you’ve tore to pieces🤣 followed by a bit of welding,busch/pin and service of the hitachi with some customary tree pushing. Then get that truck tidied what a beast would look great back in military colours especially with that military low loader if you still have it somewhere in your expanding list of assets.
I was an Army combat engineer and drove this bugger, the M920. The things I hated most was the Cat 16 speed, air operated, semi automatic trans and that the trans went to neutral at lot air pressure. Dangerous as bloody h***. Nothing like losing your trans to slow you down when you need it most. The 2 speed winch was awesome.
Not a trucker but seems like if ya sort out all your air lines then you should be good for a bit no? How frequent would your air go out? Could you hook up an extra or bigger compressor, so even with a small leak it would be able to keep up to kind of "fix" that issue?
@@user-fb9os7hy2y the transmission has 2 internal air clutches. That’s the only connection to the brakes that they have. When you move the shift lever it opens the clutches (you shift) and then slams them shut (that’s the rapid 4 air bursts you hear). It’s an engineering marvel for 1979-83 ish I believe but it’s not super practical. Cat made the neutral kick out as a safety feature because as I understand it, if the clutches aren’t all the way closed you have about a minute of clutch slip before they are junk and you need a rebuild. The operation manual says to keep Revs above 11 or 1200 rpm’s because some part of the clutch is centrifugal. Anything under that “will result in serious transmission damage”
My thought is work the excavator first. Stop drill the crack(s), weld them up, add a doubler plate, inside and out if accessible, and it would seem to be ready to send on down the road. Next would be the truck. Keep it if you really have a need, sell it if not. By the way, I made you an appointment for AAA (Auction Addicted Anonymous). See you there Next Saturday.😁
I would like to see you bring in the wheel loader that starts up lightning fast. Find some good used tires that hold air, some forks, full change of fluids. Nothing like a machine that has no radiator coolant to ever mess with and that runs like a champ. That is a keeper.
I just see all of his "junk" as putting food on the table for someone starting a business/expanding their business/etc. Works his magic, makes it useful, and even though it might have exhausted 85% of it's lifespan that last 15% could mean the world to someone who buys it and makes a better life for his family and their community. Always inspiring to see, many can't by new or even used, they have to buy "junk" and somehow make it work.
did you not see the rows and rows of junk from previous auction videos lining the road into his property? i'll be surprised if it ever leaves there again but maybe
He's mentioned a few times that he does intend to use these machine to do actual paid jobs. All this equipment is working his way toward a decent construction company, capable of most any work. Long-time viewers will remember when he used to go do outside jobs as routine. Old farm silo demolition, land clearing for a church etc. I believe he still does some of those jobs but it doesn't turn into videos for whatever reason.
Firstly, the M920 is epically awesome. Secondly, you don't have 2 loaders with 2 flat tires each, you've got 1 with 4 flat tires and 1 with 4 full tires. Probably could make 1 very good loader out of 2 with a good supply of spares and recycling. Lastly, woo hoo. Keep it up.
Always a big exitement when Matt uploads a new auction Episode! For that Loaders: Im certain that these are originaly O&K L25. A former German company that stopped existing in the early/mid 2000's. There are still Parts availiable though! I used to fix one of these. In fact that company i used to work for, still got one of these. Super robust and easy to fix machines, especially that Deutz engines. If you need some Parts list or some other Info, im happy to help out. Interesting to see they got sold as Kobelco. greetings from Germany
I wasn't too interested in those until I saw the Deutz engines under the hood. They're great, simple, reliable engines and I would love to own a surface loader with one. I wish more American-market machines had them.
I can't believe he dumped 20 grand on that Takeuchi with out starting it up and driving it first. He must be living right because it starts and runs. That could have gone really bad.
Definitely need to redeck your lowboy first. Nothing is going anywhere until you can get that trailer recovered. Otherwise you will just create additional damage when asked to move anything. Then I'd fix that M916 tractor. Your Mack is great, but the M916 is just brutal. Plus fixing a leaking air tube should be fairly easy? If you choose to keep the Hitachi, you're going to need a bigger trailer and that M916 would make an excellent hauler for that load whenever you find work for it.
He doesn’t need a bigger trailer, if he ever does move it, just hire it out like he did to move it home. That big Kenworth made easy work of moving it.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But, that all wheel drive AM General semi is spectacular in every way. I would be sad to see anything bad happen to it. It deserves to live a good life at the Diesel Creek estates forever.
I believe the cat automatic is an air clutch and when you pull the shifter over it disengages the clutch and engages when you release the lever into gear.
More auctions, more auctions, more auctions !!! Even if you don't buy anything, I learn from your evaluation and love seeing how close you get to the actual sale price. Nice work, sir.
Hey, Matt. Please knock out the job of re-decking your trailer BEFORE the winter weather sets in. Your sawmill is outside work and now really is the time to get that done. Along the way, it also wouldn't hurt to set up some covered workspace for that mill, by the way. Knock out the air leak on the AM General and check that off your list. That shouldn't take too much time. Having the little green forklift sorted out next would also be beneficial. By the way, I was sorry to see the ROPS give way on the unload. As for the wheel loaders, well, it's tough to figure out what your plan for those is. I also want to say that for many of us who were formerly from up north, it is always a treat to see some of the autumn colors in your content. Thanks for that and good luck with your new purchases!
I love that M920, almost as much as I like the growl of the K-whopper pulling out of the yard with the Hitachi loaded up! I spit out my coffee when that yard boss asked if you were going down the road with that setup!!! My favorite channel brother. You've come a ways since you were working on stuff in your driveway in town.
I love that Oshkosh! I was in the Marine Corps from 87-93 and have always had a thing for military vehicles. Hummers, Duce and half, the Stewart and Stevenson that replaced them. The starkness' and total utility of the interiors are the shizel. Since this is all wheel drive, I would turn that beast into an off road recovery monster. You have the winch, killer treads, add some other mods to your satisfaction and your ready to roll brother. Please keep it and turn it into something cool!!
Love those Hitachi 450's,that ladder behind the cab is a game changer,no more climbing down and going across to check oil and stuff, the best part was the hydraulic pumps are on the same side as the cab, working on pipelines there are no lunch rooms, but I could wrap up a lunch in tin foil and walk back and put it on the pumps fo😢about an hour and presto, a hot lunch every day just like it came out of the oven, no more sandwiches, and a very comfortable and smooth machine to run
I have been watching your videos for a while. Really enjoy watching you save the old equipment. Made my first purchase at Ritchie Bros a few weeks ago. Took a chance and bought my first skidsteer Takuchi tl250 solely on the auction listing, as I am about 4-5hours between 3 different yards. So far happy with the purchase. First attachments are Jenkins sd brush cutter and their NEW extreme duty tree puller, this thing is a beast!
Matt, maybe you could occasionally do a quick review of the stuff you have sold or scrapped? We love watching you buy new things and bring them to life but many things come in and we never see them again. I am not looking for extensive details, but just a quick overview of them, maybe, how long you had them, where they went, if you made out OK or lost on them (not dollar amounts). Thanks regardless, loved this video. Looking forward to seeing the trailer get a new deck.
$20K for that Hitachi...a steal. I think you will make out very well on that unit. The two loaders will also bring a profit but as you stated they will need a bit of work first. Still there is money there as well. Nice going. You know your stuff...
I know nothing about motors but after watching you for yrs Matt im starting to love old diesels!! I took the CDL vlass not to long ago just because i was bored and figured it woulf be useful one day. Hearing the diesel roar is so exciting!! Thanks for sharing it
Before you buy any more junk, I think you had best re-deck your trailer mate!! I reckon the truck is the gem out of all that iron, take the mill out for your orange truck build, and find a 3408 CAT motor for it, it’ll be an absolute powerhouse of a unit! As always, keep up the good work Matt.
I’ll take that truck, for sure! My husband is local retired construction contractor. He recognized CJ Betters yard. He laughed at you loading the skid loader. That’s something he would’ve done too he said! Always enjoy your videos since we’re local Beaver Valley. :) I fell in love with that first truck! I want to build a camper on the back. LOL
Scrappy's truck is just a beast! pulling 27 ton like it's got a tonka toy on the back. I think the Hitachi will be the easiest to start with, a little welding & light TLC, and it'll be good to go to work I think.
If I was Sam from scrappy industries, I wouldn't let you park that truck next to mine. You need to learn how to take care of your equipment and your vehicles man, you look like you're running a junkyard, come on, do better Matt.
That green Service Truck Is Gorgeous Very nice Wish i had a Auction place like this around me But we dont all we have is small town municipalities Around me Selling old Police cars or trucks never Equipment 8:48 @Diesel Creek
I almost died, when you said you were gonna put the clark in the bucket of the loader. It just seems like such a Matt thing to do. Love ya Matt. TY for another great video.
Hi all, you guys loading up so reminds me of years ago, when we raced BANGERS (sedan racing 1/4 mile oval tracks with full contact) before the POLI became a pain, you could see 6 cars loaded like filling the gaps between them 6 high with the lorry crane on top all chained down swaying as it went.. good times. now everything is as tight as a ducks a$$ to be legal. thanks again for making me smile.
Matt I can’t wait for the videos checking these machines out. -The hitachi could be sold for scrap and make money or serviced and minor detail and flipped (Matt check the oil I. The final drives. One looks to be leaking). -The Takeuchi should replace the current one you have. Can beat a climate controlled cab. -I might consider scraping the two loaders. The possibility of selling them is bleak even if they were sorted. -The Clark is a fixer but I would flip it. You have the Toyota for inside and the A/C. Outside your covered with the boom lifts. -The CCC I would flip it or convert it to a dump truck and keep it. Lots of future videos here!
I think it would be nice to try and quick flip the loaders, then get your shop crane up and then work on your big iron: the Cat D9, B8, and Hitachi excavator etc
Electric forklifts are the best when you work inside on a nice concrete floor. They were great even 15 years ago when I was driving them as parttime job while studying.
I'm thinking first thing to fix would be to get some air in those loader tires, if they'll take it, or at least get them up on some cribbing. A winter sitting all balled up like that will be the end of them. Maybe fix the air leak in the AM General, tidy it up and flip it. It's a little too nice to part out, and the hot-rodded Autocar and the Mack seem pretty much perfect for your needs.
Matt when you didn't show prices on certain rigs I had a feeling you probably bought those items like the Oshkosh b gosh and the really big Hoe.😅 Now that truck was orange so I figured you had to have it for the right price. It's really handy that you have friends with big trucks and trailers to bring home your spoils from the auctions.😊 Great work.
The M920 is an awesome truck, i actually saw one on the road here in Texas and it was hauling a Cat D7E down to Houston. I dont know if the driver gave the engine more power but it did its job! As for you matt, i am convinced the heavy haul M920 deserves a 13 speed or 18 speed manual transmission but somehow, im getting that gut feeling those kinds of parts are hard to come by.
For got to add , that clam bucket would have been great yard art to mount your mail box on when you move up to the farm. But then again I'm sure you have something else you could use for that.
The cross steer in the Cat is nice when pushing out big piles of dirt and you get to big of a bite with the blade. You just pull it clear across and spins the whole machine. With a standard steering clutch you sometimes have to backup and reposition because only one track is pushing you out of the pile. On a bad note thought in soft ground it will bury you quickly if not paying attention. The hydro dozers are really nice pulling big loads like rigs or pipe trucks and don't jerk because you have to shift.
Just guessing here. Fix the fork lift so you can use it in the shop. Skidsteer next to sell. Work on the heat for the shop and the house. Then do the loaders. Sell them and do the excavator next spring. Just trying to figure out the best 'through put' you can do. I am still waiting to see how you handle the hot water heat for both the shop and house.
Matt the Intro with the Fall Colors is Top Notch, I think the first we have to do is Floor the haul trailer, the Hitachi track hoe is where the money is, the skid loader is going to have a new Home as Long as No One puts a Stack of Money on the Table! Great Video! You Always Make a Saturday!
15:34 if you want a great heavy hauler get this truck’s big brother the Oshkosh M911 I drove one in Germany and I have unforgettable recovery memories. Obviously my favorite is the M920 because of my experience with it, followed by the Kobelco and the skid steer, the rest looks like scrap. As to which you will keep I think the forklift for sure then the Kobelco. Either way, they all make great videos because of the master mechanic working on them. Thanks for sharing.
Dude I will never miss an episode now that you have that all wheel drive truck I have been waiting for somebody to get into all-wheel drive trucks forever and I love that thing
LoL, I love listening to Matt talk himself into stuff he doesn't want. "I'm definitely NOT interested in forklifts...(later)... and definitely NOT electric.... (and still later)... I'll have to keep my eye on them..."
As a barn builder for 50 yrs in Ohio, I have bought a lot of junk equipment over the years .as to Skidloaders, used to like case, had 4 but when case and oh merged, engines became junk, namely shaburos diesel, probably spelling wrong, so went to new bobcat track machines , skid and backhoes work for us great. Danuser hydraulic digger work great 12 -36 augers,my favorite dozer years was allis hd6 pusher, had a lot of Allison crane trucks worked great,?even have a Cummins super C motor home with allusion today, am subscribed to you and enjoy your videos immensely, thanks, john yost
13:28 id rather be for putting the autocar cab and tin onto the Oshkosh - oshkosh has all wheel drive and hydraulic winch from the get go as well as beefy enough drive train for the engine
I think I would run on that M920 Military truck. The transmission is Air over Hydraulic - killed more people, wrecked more stuff than I ever remember. If you over tach the engine - transmission comes out. If you under rev - transmission kicks out. Needs extra air tanks which the Army started adding in the late 80s. It will pull a 40 ton lowboy - and a D8 no problem - stopping could be a problem if you lost an air line. Good luck!
I have massive respect for anyone hauling with semi-trucks like this. I recently upgraded from a small sedan to a 3/4 ton pickup, and I feel like I'm taking up my entire lane and keep worrying about running into things. I can't imagine hauling an extra wide load like that, it's just nuts.
Similar experience, started in a 2 door eclipse. Then a 2 door f150. Then 4 door f150. Then needed to haul so f250. Then needed to haul more so longbed f350. Then diesel shot to $5 and downgraded to a f150. It was shortsighted to downgrade as diesel/fuel usually only spikes up briefly and doesn't stay for long. Wis I had never sold the 350. Oh well. Live and learn
You feel the same way as my wife. I bought a Class A motorhome some years ago, and my wife refused to ride in it! She thought it was too wide for the road. It sat in the driveway for a year. The best use for it was our 10-year-old daughter's slumber party. This was another one of those two-happiest-day situations: the day you buy it and the day you sell it!
The M920 8x8 20 Ton tractor is gem of the group, IMO. That 16 speed Cat air shift transmission takes some getting used to, but when you do, I think you'll find it to be a good transmission. It's no 18 speed Eaton-Fuller, but it's still pretty good.
That is a 7155 Cat semi-automatic , Cat dealer I worked for serviced them for warranty for Ft Riley in Topeka Ks they are air shifted and the valve body is very complex
I agree with many of the comments that I would like to see you put a new deck on the lowboy first. Then it will be ready if you flip something and need to deliver it. Besides, the sawmill videos are always good. After that, do what's best for your cash flow but you might start with whatever can be repaired fastest and easiest. Whatever you decide to do, I'll be watching. Good luck with all of it!
I would like to see the Takeuchi replace your other one. Cleaning up the big excavator with polish on the paint Etc. New tires on the flats. Most important repaint that 6 * 6 as an army truck and someone will pay a premium price
Well you now have a big cam Cummins, so that takes care of one thing. The second thing (that should be first) always wear your seat belt when driving. Better to be safe than sorry. The third thing is I would like to see you getting the worst of the loaders going. Good thing to sell since you really don't have that much invested in it. Well good luck with them.
Down here in Virginia you can get 80 degree fall days that are gorgeous but you still got a tan working outside. Then it's cold, suddenly, rapidly, begrudgingly, exceptionally cold. It's like walking out of summer into a freezer. Leave the old AM General intact, build something out of it, it's awesome. All wheel drive beast!
I could say is all the years.I've been watching your videos. They got better and better. Keep it up my friend from American. Take care and keep them great videos our make from Scrap yards. Take care my friend. From the Ontario Canada. ❤

You still have to shift it like a manual transmission, by using the throttle to match the engine to gear speed.
I loved the M916/M920s. I liked the M916A1/A3s with the Detroit Series 60 but I hated the Allison slush box. They never pulled the same as that Big Cam 400/Cat 7155!
And then you jumped in the Mack.......
I would be interested in buying it
I hope he keeps it!! That things damn cool!!

The Hitachi 450 has been a favorite machine of mine for a long time. I’m so happy you got that. Give it some love and put it to work!
That’s something that heavy d sparks would use for a project.
I missed what he paid for it.
$20,000 @@jabbyburton
Orange track machine, what a beast
Maybe Matt can put a dump box on it and put it to use as a heavy duty dumper.
What I like about Matt's auction videos is that I get all the enjoyment of buying things without having to spend my own money!!
Indeed.

I said a while ago that the Autocar was the coolest vehicle you’ve got. No more. That AM General is totally epic! 😍😍
Totally agree - needs to be taken somewhere the 6x6 can be truly tested.
@@andyc280081973 Also manual swapped although the pneumatic shifting was kinda cool to hear
Agreed. Hopefully it doesn;t go anywhere and replaces the mack at some point

Ok Matt, you asked for our thoughts on what you would be doing with the auction finds. So here they are:
- I think you'll keep the all wheel drive semi.
Cheers from Oregon,
Philip
Not a lot to add to that...
I was also super curious about the bridge inspection trailer so I looked it up, went for 3750 so probably more than what he wanted to spend for scrap value.
Great comments 👌
don't you need to weld the cracked excavator boom?
AGAIN.
The sound of that KW pulling is music to my ears. Great purchases too
The KW is heavenly sounding!
Even the video closed captions shows "music"!
No Kidding! That was music to my ears.
Well that was not sketchy at all ! The Big loader with 2 flat tires and a fork lift in the bucket , on the clapped out trailer ! LMAO! Oh my!
Ikr!!! Here in the netherlands he wouldnt be allowed to drive like that
I like the Hitachi excavator. That beast will move a lot of dirt. Good video Matt.
The guy at the auction asked if he was going to go down the road like that!
Wonder why he thought they wouldn't? 🤣

@@moonshinershonor202 Geniuses??????. NAH, definitely the other. Cut and dried.

@@watauguy i just sold mine a month ago, hated that 16 speed
Sounded absolutely awesome when it shifted but it was a terrible driving experience
Not a trucker but seems like if ya sort out all your air lines then you should be good for a bit no? How frequent would your air go out? Could you hook up an extra or bigger compressor, so even with a small leak it would be able to keep up to kind of "fix" that issue?
Would think the box should be on a separate system and reservoir to the brakes?
Might be something he can look at doing.
Well said....yeah (aaa) for sure.
Yes, the excavator first
At this auction rate, I think the lowboy deck refurb should come first. Otherwise, Scrappy Industries and Gino will stop taking his phone calls. 😄
What a great way of looking at the world. Good onya!
Just wondering be just the tool to dig ur septic tank and laterals.
Where’s that channel?
did you not see the rows and rows of junk from previous auction videos lining the road into his property? i'll be surprised if it ever leaves there again but maybe
Matt is making this look easy.Clue: IT'S NOT and so many things can go really wrong........Bravo for a safe transport of some really tough jobs
Came here to say that! 😊
One of the many trucks I enjoyed driving in the Army!
The timing on the shift is tricky, but awesome when you get it.
I drove an M916 that has one in it.
More auctions, more auctions, more auctions !!! Even if you don't buy anything, I learn from your evaluation and love seeing how close you get to the actual sale price. Nice work, sir.
The fact that you went back and put the sold price made this video so good.
Actually yea that is prolly the first thing he needs to bring into the garage! Time to do winter service.
I think the first one to earn the love is the trailer you hauled them in on. Mill some lumber and make some planks!
Much appreciated!
The M920 is a f'ing beast. That truck will go places you think are impossible. Great find.

Seeing the auction prices is a real benefit so we can check the market in your neighborhood. Always nice to see SAM!
The w9 pulling the big Hitachi home, looked and sounds perfect 👌
Matt when you didn't show prices on certain rigs I had a feeling you probably bought those items like the Oshkosh b gosh and the really big Hoe.😅 Now that truck was orange so I figured you had to have it for the right price. It's really handy that you have friends with big trucks and trailers to bring home your spoils from the auctions.😊 Great work.
OMG, the deck boards! 🤣You had me rollin' laughin'.
Nice haul, Matt! I always appreciate the videos.
Appreciate the laugh! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Ritchie Brothers are stinking rich, you got to pay money to put it in you got to pay money to take it out😂😂😂😂😂😂 real hard to beat that
The M920 is an awesome truck, i actually saw one on the road here in Texas and it was hauling a Cat D7E down to Houston.
I feel like a AWD haul truck is right up your alley, and with a winch? Imagine all the treasures you could get to and haul out with that combo lol.
That 51 ton Hitachi would come in handy when you dig your pond
Nothing digs a pond better than large dozer though. But that sucker would do it.

Is his D9 big enough for you?
Just guessing here. Fix the fork lift so you can use it in the shop. Skidsteer next to sell. Work on the heat for the shop and the house. Then do the loaders. Sell them and do the excavator next spring. Just trying to figure out the best 'through put' you can do. I am still waiting to see how you handle the hot water heat for both the shop and house.
My choice exactly as you, same way round!

13:28 id rather be for putting the autocar cab and tin onto the Oshkosh - oshkosh has all wheel drive and hydraulic winch from the get go as well as beefy enough drive train for the engine
Absolutely
I think I would run on that M920 Military truck. The transmission is Air over Hydraulic - killed more people, wrecked more stuff than I ever remember. If you over tach the engine - transmission comes out. If you under rev - transmission kicks out. Needs extra air tanks which the Army started adding in the late 80s. It will pull a 40 ton lowboy - and a D8 no problem - stopping could be a problem if you lost an air line. Good luck!
Good to see you and Scrappy chewing the cud, pre auction. You're a shrewd punter, Matt.
It's nice to know that I'm not the only one who has the sickness. Bless you Matt!
Well... if it's selling for less than scrap you have to buy it..right!?
When you look up “sketchy” in the dictionary there is a link to this video 01:01:30
These will make beautiful yard art and will match all of the other equipment for the front of the new home!
I really enjoy the auction videos. Thanks Matt
Down here in Virginia you can get 80 degree fall days that are gorgeous but you still got a tan working outside. Then it's cold, suddenly, rapidly, begrudgingly, exceptionally cold. It's like walking out of summer into a freezer.
