there have been line up changes but Eric AK still sings for the band. their first 3 albums are sublime. Doomsday for the Deceiver, No Place for Disgrace, October Thorns are just some of the great tracks from these albums. they are also a good band to see live. and they are still producing albums.

Flotsam Jetsam - Suffer the Masses, W.A.S.P - Forever Free, Dokken - The Hunter, D.R.I. - Beneath the Wheel, Axe - I think you'll remember tonight, Accept - Princess of the Dawn, just the average (at the timew anyway, a regular compilation tape of Underrated bands and songs. Flotsam and Jetsam and WASP Forever free took 1 and 2 for me. There is no way that this technoliogically altered shrieks that we listen too and we have the right to call this music? Been listening to F&J since "Doomsday" came out. One of my alltime favorite acts. I don't know that they would be any better with Jason Newstead. They haven't missed a beat. Eric AK has a voice that keeps on going. Even when they are ”Smoked Out” they are awesome!
I remember seeing them at Lamors in BROOKLYN in the 80s got to see them a couple of times the 80s were a great time for metal so many great shows and it did not cost you that much they really were the good old days rock on my young FRIENDS AND STAY SAFE AND STRONG LONG LIVE ROCK
Thrash is probably my favourite sub genre of metal but I have to agree. These guys and Anthrax definitely proved you can rock some amazing vocals and still thrash just as if not harder than the rest.

I was there at the country club in San Fernando Valley CA. the night Metallica played there for first time with new member Jason Newsted. It's a small club only about 500 got in my friends and I were 8 of them. The concert was announced to only a small group of hard-core country club members which I was one of the masses. Metallica came on first and played a awesome set, then flotsam & Jetson came out and joined them then played a freaking amazing set with Jason with them. Folks sorry to you today's Metallica fans but flotsam & Jetson's set blew Metallica away. I'm a old Metallica fan after garage days revisited (one of my favorite albums along with ride the lightning) I wasn't into their next stuff way too pop meets metal. Anyways flotsam & Jetson kicks butt

He was the bands real weakness. Prong and Sacred Reich had the same problem. Cool riffs and songs but zero backbone in the vocals.
