Lol I went to HS with Lenny. IIRC in my Sr. year he was a soph and had a broken leg so he didn't suit for PE. He would sit in the locker room and play his guitar. The jocks talked shit about him but he always had the chicks around.
Last time I saw him was at his practice place. He had this big ware house with a stage set up and everything.
Shit looked like he was going places. I went to watch rehearsal with a buddy. There was supposed to be a party later but we couldn't find it. My buddy spun out his Nova and curbed the left side, totaling the front axle. Both of us moved out of state within a month.
About a yr later I'm sitting on the shitter in the morning, before going off to my menial job at a sugar plant in buttfuck WY. I picked up a Kerrang...or some other metal mag my girlfriend had brought over....and there was Lenny lmao. A fucking rock star. Fuck my life.
Well....that's my story and I'm sticking to it..
Lenny....if you ever do happen to read these comments I was the shitty guitar player that used to hang with Marty Hullin and Larry Lamascus.
Glad to see you made it big.
    Good luck in the future.

There wpuld be many deaths and death woukd come from above ( im a idiot so he could be quoteing something by clint eastwood and I wouldnt have know) and I'm still waiting for the 3rd that i remember (cuz there were lots) I ran into Him at Kerry Park in seattle university district beautiful night warm summer evening/ night and he was looking up and hes said "ok fuc&ers there on there way brace urself dude. its a matter of time before they come" so I knew what he ment but was he just f'in with me or am I gonns get ready to pull a doomsday prepper shelter in the middle of tbe back yard in the Wallingford neighborhood? my yard is 10x10 squared. *snort*
    "Tight! Tight! Tight!!"
Right about the time this was released, I was ditching my junior high school obsession with metal, and getting way more into punk and hardcore. However, it seems to become clearer and clearer to me that even though those genres were just stylistically different enough, the aggression and ethos were often similar enough to dovetail nicely.
The artistry and talent on this track are blowing my mind! Repeat watch/listen.

I was in Best Buy one day and I was looking at the CD's to see if there was anything worth buying, I was looking at all of them when a certain album cover caught my attention, I picked it up and it was Sanctuary's "The Year The Sun Died", I had never heard of Sanctuary before but I just thought the album cover looked cool, so I bought it and now I'm so glad I did, Sanctuary is such a kickass band and I hope to see them live soon.

Welcome to great metal, I found Refuge Denied when it was released in the mid 80's as I am old lol and was hooked. Dave Mustaine of Megadeth produced their first opus. Sanctuary lives on as Lenny Rutledge recruited Joseph Michael on vocals, he is not Warrel but has a great voice.

I was like 3 years old when they were touring off of Into The Mirror Black... To have been able to have seen THIS tour here is PRICELESS to me. Sanctuary was amazing. Even that word still seems short of what they truly were. We all got screwed from the Record Company when they basically had a hand in why Sanctuary disbanded, after only 2 Studio Albums. Crazy man! I didn't care much for the album they put out when they reformed in, I think 2007, The Year The Sun Died. It has a few songs that have grown on me, but still, a far cry from Into The Mirror Black. I am , however, excited to hear their newest album, which should drop soon. New Vocalist, brought in Chris Broderick (Legendary Metal Guitarist). Let's see what the Future Holds, as Warell said himself, in Future Tense 😬

Love Warrell (RIP)! Nevermore was in its infancy when they opened for Flotsam & Jetsam years ago in Milwaukee. Nobody at the show and my buddy and I were gratefully sitting at the bar after working all day. Nevermore finished their opener and Warrell, with long blond hair down to his ankles, came up to the bar. We were both grinning ear-to-ear and my bud said, "Great show, man! Can I buy you a drink?" Warrell smiled, paid for his own drink and thanked us. It was a good omen of what was to come! (Flotsam show was great, too, but no encore....)

This man was one of my absolute idols. This man shouldn't have died so soon. I mean, Sanctuary was on the rise. Nevermore was in the talks. His (would be) new solo album was on the very making. It was gonna be called "Shadow Work", and he himself promised it'd be one of the heaviest things he'd ever recorded. Instead, Sanctuary is now on a limbo. His new solo album (if anything) is gonna be released only with guests vocalists filling in for him. And what's worse: Nevermore is... Never more. So, again: this man shouldn't have died so soon. Goddammit. Rest in peace, Warrel. You will NEVER, ever, be forgotten.

Actually the New Warrel Dane Album is over 40 minutes that his Vocals are on 100% The album was supposed to be over 80-90 minutes in length, and what you hear on the album is what Warrel Dane completed. Again the album is him singing 100% just cut short because he passed away during more songs done. Remember to always search the web and read what the artists that worked with him confirmed before posting crap and gossip on any social media site. His work is worthy and the best in songwriting ever in Music.
