Killer job! Especially for your first video bro, awesome work. That wire looking nugget is gorgeous! Nice work!

Great effort for your first video... I have a Monster 1000 also, and I am located in SoCal... I drywash at a club claim and can usually pull .1 to .15 grams from a good day out. I always use my monster to check my header and tailings piles... We don't have the bigger chunky gold like you Arizonans, it makes me jealous to see you pulling nuggets with your monster... Watching your channel, I should dedicate a full day to detect the local claim, I might do better detecting. Best of luck to you, you have a good channel with lots of potential.. I subbed.

Thanks for the videos. Can you share what tools you take with you? Obviously a plastic scoop, rock pick, and metal detector. Rather new to this and am wondering what else I should add to my bag. Cheers.

It really depends on where your working but if its dry and bedrock, you might want a pant brush to sweep everything in the scoop. A flat head screw driver is good for getting into the cracks...though a lot a people might use one of these, ( amzn.to/2KyhPaM )which is good for dry and wet situations... A good rock pick to use for VLF detectors like the Gold Monster is this one here with a built in magnet... amzn.to/34JjPDT other than that, maybe some tweezers for picking up the tiny hard to grab pieces... but for sure I always take the pick, scoop, paint brush and crevice tool of some sorts...and an old plastic medicine bottle for the gold you find... Hope that helps!

Or if you have a spare minute to show me a few tricks to have a chance of finding a small picker. Thanks Stan

@@stancalavan2721 I hear you, I moved here from Seattle but spent most of my prospecting time in Mariposa, Ca. I'm still learning the Desert so I'm probably the wrong one to ask. I've been here just over two years now. What I will say is that the movement of everything here is slow motion compared to California where it rains and the water is flowing. Slow motion meaning the gold might still be in the bank or on the hill side and still hasn't quite made its way to the wash. Look for indicator minerals such as quartz that looks mineralized or rusty and iron stone (don't know the real name). Try to stay in Auto 2 (auto++) if your using a GM1000, though you will probably have to drop down to Auto 1 in some situations....but stick to the bedrock and you'll find something others missed...take your time. Thats about all I got. Thanks for watching.

@@metaldetectingforarizonago7685 wow that’s where I am from. Did a lot of mining on the Skykomish River. And we make a yearly trip down to the Auburn area in California. Did really well our last trip. 1/2 oz. in three days of sluicing. You are doing a lot better than I am. Haven’t found a flake yet.

Found lots of gold there years ago, my biggest was 7 grams and I was late to the party. It really doesn’t mean much because there’s a bunch of washes there and they all have gold plus the monsoons move stuff every year. Keep up the good work and have fun. 👍

    • @BB_46

Metal Detecting For Arizona Gold it was in a wash most of the gold that we found though were small nuggets 0.5 grams or so. Good luck it’s there.
