RIP The Thermals. Thanks for being such a great band & providing equally great virtual skating memories!!!
he´s making a new album,Great news bro
@@baldinhobrasil actually??
@@bruh5551 yea but i think dead
This song always gets me right in the feels for some reason
Colin Clyde Me too. No idea why..
It makes me feel wild sad and pissed all at once. It's got that popy sound with that deep meaning and a punk vibe. And not modern crap punk. Old school 80s punk!
+N64 Joey same thoughts here
zane yamen Its just so beautiful!
Same, not sure what it is. But it hits home
I remember doing tre flips to this song in skate 3 :,)
lego same
Awh, Skate 3 is such a good game, best soundtrack as well :,)
lego ikr
I still play skate 3. Btw Skate 2 had the best soundtrack
lego Skate 3 had the best songs. That Game is one of my favourites.
These guys know what the hell they are doing
Oh yes they do!
pretty much like every single one of their songs xD
Are these guys a Christian band that would be awesome if not i dont care i love every1
@@stravinskytheterrible8072 no, they weren't.
Are they anti Christian
My band played a show with The Thermals in like 2003 at Cafe Mekka in Nevada City, Ca. It was a few years later that I heard this song when it came preloaded on my Zune. I was really happy to see that they had started to gain some heat. Glad to see it was picked up for Skate 3. I know they put in the time and effort, I love seeing it pay off for good bands.
Who the hell uses a zune?
2007 hipsters.
Band is defunct now. We were called Pisces Knife. Myspace FTW: myspace.com/piscesknife/music/songs
The guys I played with are in a band called Physical Education now, you should definitely give that a listen, too. More gold from CA's Gold Country.

Ryan Everson Really good
that's pretty sick
I used to take turns playing videogames with my older bro and now I’m the older one showing my younger sister those same games. It’s bittersweet but I’m glad to come back to these amazing games and give her those same experiences i had :’)
No exaggeration when I say this is THEE best song I've ever heard.
It’s so fucking good
it's catchy AF yet with scathing, poignant lyrics and a fun video? def 9/10 for me.
after first listening to this song years ago, skated to it, learned how to play it on drums, while hearing it millions of times, this might become the first song I learn on guitar. wish me luck
It's fun ain't it? Now learn returning to the fold. Somewhat similar.
I'm learning it on guitar for my band rn I love it! Not the first song tho but the riff is pretty fast
Its pretty easy to jam along to by ear,
Im sure you’d get it down
Endless hours listening to this song skating around having the time of my life
Thank you for providing me with a soundtrack to accompany my drive to the hospital to see my beautiful daughter complete her trip into the world. Best day of my life, and this song will always be a part of it.
that’s amazing to hear, i hope you and your daughter are doing well ten years later
@@quinteroo i think she died, it says "complete her trip into the world".
@@puoP_0 I’m more than sure you misinterpreted that. It wouldn’t be the “best day of my life” if that happened.
@@puoP_0pretty sure she gave birth after listening to this song so uhh no
@@puoP_0pretty sure this was her daughters birth, why would that be the best day of his life?
I am totally in love with Kathy Foster.
She is so fucking awesome.
*****
I'm right there with you, man
This is ok. She fucking kills it.
Thank God to Skate 3 for introducing my 2nd favorite band
skate 3 had many great bands and songs disorder being my favourite :)
Josh Who's your top favorite?
Woody Alexander same bro Ian Curtis
Check out *Japanther* if you don't know them by now.
...i know i replied almost a decade later but... whose the 1st
my sister was in it at 1:25 Our uncle's the drummer
That's cool
Your uncle rules mang
Yeah man I was haha
Woaaa
The little bouncing kid? Or the kid on the guitar*?
skate 3 memories😢😢😢
:(
Found this through a recommendation on Spotify - I'd had a weird dream a couple of nights before I can't describe but I felt like I needed a song like this to break me out of the funk it left me in. So glad I stumbled across The Thermals, this song, the whole album is amazing, just a shame I discovered them a little too late after they disbanded.
so nostalgic, honestly a great song.
🙏🏽🙏🏽💯🔥
I can remember figuring out that you can't swim in skate 3 listening to this song
Holy crap, I just realized I'm allowed to listen to music I like!
This song has a special place in my heart
THEY NEED TO MAKE A SKATE 4!!!
Mr. Meeseeks hi I'm Mr meesecks look at MEEEE.
hi Mr meesecks tell me when skate 4 will be released.
I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE
Zeno Nella SK4TE will never be released....... or will it
Mr. Meeseeks Black box (creators of all of the skate games) was discuntinued a few years ago that means skate 4 might not be made
Grunge yes ugghhhhhh
Yeah but not fucking ea this time....
Everyone talking about how "Skate 3" introduced them to this song lol. This was a factory loaded song on my "Zune" that I got for Christmas one year. Awesome song.
this is the comment i was looking for!
but it was on my mom's Zune... because i didn't have my own MP3 player
Yes!! I got it on a CD out of a magazine, I think it was a copy of Kerrang if I remember correctly.
Maybe there was something to zune....
@@AgniFirePunch Yeah
Heard this one at like 2 am on Mtv -the time they actually used to broadcast good music- and instantly loved it. I lived in a town called Merida in Venezuela, I had to buy a pirate cd coz none of that music would never get to stores there, great album.
i still listen to this almost everyday
Quick reminder for today ✌️
still listening?
listen to it again
The Thermals should be the biggest band in the universe.
right?
+Millie Kentner The multiverse, even.
I'm seeing them tonight. It's gonna rip
@@CH03 how'd it go?
I have no idea how my trip through TH-cam ended up here...but I'm glad to be back. Love this song
One of the greatest video/song combos in the history of post industrial earth.
Who's here after skate was announced to come back?
Skate 4
First I've heard thank you
ehh excuse moi?
WHAT?
i just had to unlike so u could stay on 69😂
This is ridiculous brilliant! What a shame that they don't exist anymore. 😭
This song makes me really sad for some reason. Any time I listen to it it makes me feel like its the end of an era for me and I remember memories from the past
Practically is the end of that old style rock n roll
As a sincere, evangelical Christian, I can honestly say this a profound and moving exegesis of man's plight in the Old Testament. Part searchingly sincere, part tongue-in-cheek, this song moves me to tears.
This guy is so smart. I bet you know math. And other stuff. Please reply in a smart way
As a sincere, evangelical Christian you probably have the searchingly sincere and tongue in cheek parts the wrong way round.
Bobby Diesel when you want to find the product of any numbers even big numbers, use 11. When figuring 53x11 say for example the result would be 5+3=8, 583. The sum total goes between the 2 original numbers! mathemagic.
Try it for yourself
You should hear the Matt Pond acoustic cover version. His interpretation might very well turn tears into sobs.
SKATE 3 WE NEED A SKATE 4
Fidel CashFlow with ALL the glitches still or it'd be bad agreed tho
There's a game called session and i guess that's like skate4
More realistic in game
why dont you go skating with music on?
yes!!
Well well well it’s finally been announced
i hate that this video only has 304,000 views! this song deserves so much more!
I've been looking at adding branches to the tree of my music collection. I sometimes go to the Wiki page of a band I like (in this case The Decemberists) and look at the "influences" section to see who they liked, because maybe I'd like them too. I saw The Thermals. Looked them up on TH-cam. Selected this song at random. Thought to myself, 'Hey, this isn't bad.' And then at 2:16 I'll be good god damned if that isn't Colin Meloy himself in the video. What a trip.
I've been listening to both bands for over a decade now and just NOW realized Colin Meloy is randomly spliced into this video. Very cool.
one of the greatest live bands ever! no theatrics just incredible music.
from skate 3 this is my favorite song awesome
I am literally grinning ear to ear by the end of this video. Amazing song, great video...lots of fun and AWESOME editing!?
if you literally are im a bit concerned
Heard it first on Citizen Radio podcast with Jamie Kilstein (comic) and Allison Kilkenny (journalist), easily one of the best comedic couples in podcasting!
skating games always have a great selection and open alot of musical doors. this ones a keeper.
best skate 3 song
Truly one of the most amazing and simple music videos I've ever seen and a very very good classic punk rock song. I just had to say that to say this... This song helps me through a lot s*** in my life so thank you very much for such a beautiful song
2021. We must keep this song alive (Also thank you Skate 3)
We were born to sin
We were born to sin
We don't think we're special sir
We know everybody is
We've built too many walls
Yeah, we've built too many walls
And now we gotta run
A giant fist is out to crush us
We run in the dark
We run in the dark
We don't carry dead weight long
We send them along to heaven
I carry my baby
I carry my baby
Her eyes can barely see
Her mouth can barely breathe
I can see she's afraid
She could see the danger
We don't want to die or apologize
For our dirty God, our dirty bodies
Now, I stick to the ground
I stick to the ground
I won't look twice for the dead walls
I don't want a white pillar of salt
I carry my baby
I carry my baby
Her eyes can barely see
Her mouth can barely breathe
I can see she's afraid
That's why we're escaping
So we won't have to die, we won't have to deny
Our dirty God, our dirty bodies

Man Sub Pop has and has had it all! Love this label.
Best song on skate 3
This was a track that came pre-loaded on the original Zune and it totally made up for having bought a Zune. It was genuinely formative to my college musical taste
Best song in skate 3 only song I like
This song sounds like one of those songs that you accidentally find in some weird way when you were really young, and you love it so much that you listen to it over and over again because you have no other songs you like because your super young and don’t know what your music taste is yet, and then like 10 years later you remember the song or accidentally come across it again and you listen to it and you still love it just as much, it’s like one of those songs.
Costing lines on skate 3 on some "greens" brought me here and thank god for that and this band...cost on guys
When I hear this song I just get taken back to 2010, customising my skater and hitting the mega park in Skate 3.
frrr
i hit the double bridge gap to this song :))
This whole album is one of my all time favorites. I like the whole them and storyline you could say. For this precise reason I was hoping there would be a video related to it but they probably had a low budget so it’s understandable still awesome album and band fr
Entire album is amazing
I carry my baby
I CARRY MY BABY!!!
Lol that was me in that clip. My uncle was the drummer so I was allowed in the room😂
"Her eyes could barely see, her mouth could barely breathe..." I sung this verse to my first daughter sometimes when it was quiet and I was carrying her, putting her to sleep.
*FUCK, I DROPPED THE BABY*
It's pronounced bay-bay
Eye carry mah baybay
This whole album still makes me rock out and dance around like a maniac
seem like cool people to hang out with
This band got me through it all. I’m so grateful
This song just makes me nostalgic for some odd reason. And I've only started playing Skate 3 for a couple of months
One of my favorite bands
I believe in Rock and Roll again.
*Miss Lizzie,* i especially like the homage to Dean Stockwell's character Ben from the movie Blue Velvet at 2:22 regarding the use of the mechanic work lamp. Its a very good song and i like the video and that bass player too.

Skate.3 Soundtrack :)
One of my favorite music videos. Fun. Never gets boring.
this band had such an impact on my childhood
Back when i would play skate 3 around 2011-12 when i was 10, i would mostly play for hours mostly because of all the dope soundtracks that would play and i wouldn't even know the names of ...
Shimmy shimmy yah
I fucking love skate 3
This song means so much too me.
never heard this band before from what ive seen so far their pretty good i like it
Holy shit. Arrested Development chicken impressions at 00:43!!! Makes me love them even more.
1:50 Kathy got hops!! 😍
i cant help but smile
This song got me through the pandemic.
god damn, I fucking love this song.
Most re-watchable video ever.
The very first time i heard. The thermals i was actually sleeping. I had been sick in bed for 3 days.. The singing woke me up and then the guitar kicked in and the next thing i knew, i was out of my bed and dancing in a pit consisting of one. The thermals did for me what 3 days of medication couldn't...and in an instant, a Thermal fan was born
Came here after hearing Here's Your Future as the closing music for a episode of Weeds... God I missed this sound.
This brings me back to the times of absolutely shredding through the quarry on Skate 3 good times
Que buenos recuerdos con esta canción
This video is like, everything I have ever wanted to do in my life, in one awesome video.
This song is even better live!!! love this band to death!
Every couple of years I randomly think about this song and video
Thanks for the countless hours of listening #everythingthermals
NEVER GET TIRED OF THIS SONG..SO GOOD..ROCKNROLL BABY
wow ...great song! I am a new fan!
lol 2006
This bands sound is the is probably the best of any pop punk, post punk or punk band ever. very unique and inspired. I Cant get enough of that bleeding lead guitar cutting through cacophony of noise.
I love this video! This song is so good!!!!!!!!
A friend burned a mix CD back in the day and that's how i heard the Thermals for the 1st time.
This gets me in hardcore mood when I play Skate 3 😎
this isn't even meant to be hard you fuck wit
Luis lujan rude
It's 2019 this song still makes me go hard on skate 3 ignore this "fuck wit" he's obv never skated or caught what the boys around the spot call jam disease where you blast shit like this and skate your fucking trucks off
2021 still the best song until this year
more people need to like them they are so good
Hello i'm here from 2010 and love this song in skate 3. Writing this comment with internet Explorer, hope it finds you well..
RIP THE THERMALS, LOVE FROM EGG SARNIE
I really really miss these guys!
I read on WIki that they are known for their religious references. You can defiantly tell that in this song.
Holy shit, I am just hearing this stuff now.... This band is great!!!
Skate 3 ❤️
this song was on my 2007 zune. still love this album
dope !
