@@frost66bitlol yeah this is an underhanded compliment at best. they play power chords but it's essential to their fun sound. the intro to this song is hard to play, too. overall I agree that musicianship is secondary behind creativity and artistry (song writing and, in this case, lyrical content specifically)
+johnniedehuff it's neither. They are know as a bend. Some of their songs fall under completely different categories. This one is punk, but their newer stuff is indie/pop and they usually make alternative or skate though. I don't know what to say other than they basically just play rock.
I find it peculiar how it's so common for these bands to fudge their live performances like... there's only one guitar riff in the entire song and it's really simple. It's literally this guys JOB to play it. One riff. And he can't play it live? And it's sooooo common that it's just become acceptable that this is the quality of live performance you get from so many bands. And everybody cheers at the end like good job guys, you did so great. But they didn't do great at all. It was a really, really bad performance of such a simple song.
@@Ratcatcher_jpg You could say that, yea. It's because music is a representation of humanity, of the human soul, and we are rough around the edges. The best music for the moment is sometimes very flawed in its performance. It isn't meant to be perfect and clean like a robot. It's meant to sound alive, and life can be very raw and dirty and full of holes and errors. There is no correct answer to what the perfect musical sound or performance is. All kinds of music should exist for all kinds of people and all moods of being. Thanks for your comment.
@Leif Addinsall bro this is a baby song. it's literally baby's first song level of difficulty. but regardless of that, if the guy can't play it? you know what you do if you can't play your songs? you practice your set 4 hours a day. i've been in a lot of bands and never have i performed a song as badly as this rendition in this video
@Leif Addinsall hey man i like the band, but in my opinion this was a bad performance. you should learn to be able to like a group while still accepting that they are regular human beings and aren't always perfect.
this band is the pinnacle of you dont have to be a good guitar player to make good music hope this inspires someone to make the next top 1 song
And they sound so good live.
I'm not sure if this is a insult or compliment.
LMAO

seen this band a few times, always great. Pity they are done.
I love the drummer
I can imagine why it was so hard for the lead guitarist to sing it, judging by his sweating :P Still great performance though :D
He's 40 now.
guccigucci456
Jesus, really? He doesn't look it
PogoMojo I know right.

This was the last song of the set, so I'm sure that contributed to it

The vocals are barely audible, could you do something with it KEXP? Thanks though, keep up the good work!
Krisztian Robert They are clear... Listen to some Nirvana
Anglers of the lord...look back
An album about fleeing from a fascist Christian theocracy? I'm glad that isn't about to become frighteningly relevant in America any time soon...
