    HI, thanks for your videos.
    I would like to know if after import in 1home server the on/off and status group address, with 1home in HomeKit I can dimmer and change color to the hue lamps without a KNX dimmer and RGBW actuator? Maybe can you record a video in which you show a hue Philips RGB lamp controlled both from a KNX button (on/off, or 0 /100%) and from HomeKit to adjust the intensity and color?
    Thanks for your answer

    Okay, so this is another bridge between KNX and HomeKit. It's what I need, but I also would like to create scenes within the logic module so that it stores within the module and not on my iCloud or in ETS project (don't want to rely on HomeKit/iCloud, and don't have enough room in KNX hardware to create all scenes I want).
    Is this possible with either Thinka/Thinknx/1Home? I thought maybe you had the answer.
    Thank you! :)

    1- Thinka (I use it in my house and I love it)
    2- 1Home Bridge
    3- Freedompro Easykon
    4- ABB Busch-VoiceControl KNX
    5- xxter Pairot
    6- ProKNX realKNX

    If you use Google Home assistant to give a voice command to a KNX actuator, does it give feedback on the knx bus? For example: ask to switch on a light, does it make the status led go on on the equivalent button/sensor?

    • @PoseidwnTech
      @PoseidwnTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes because as you watched in the tutorial when we setup the lights we gave the ON/OFF group address and the Status Group Address.

    Thanks for en interesting and informative video. I have a few questions that perhaps you could answer. 1) In the video I see that your KNX topology is one line 1.1.X, but the 1Home KNX Bridge has 15.15.255 address as default... do you have to use ETS to re-program the device or can this be done from the buttons on the device? 2) Can the device be used as a general purpose KNX-IP interface for for an external computer (to program other KNX devices from ETS)? If so, how many same time connections are supported?

    • @PoseidwnTech
      @PoseidwnTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for your comment! 1) You have to use ETS in order to change the Individual Address. You can find 1Home Bridge in online catalog of ETS 2) Yes the device can be used as a general purpose KNX-IP Interface.

    • @PoseidwnTech

      There is no need to use KNX IP Interface, just connect 1Home Bridge in your KNX installation. With 1Home Bridge you can use Apple HomeKit, Google Home or Amazon Alexa.

    Great video thanks. Is it possible to send a command locally without the cloud ?
    What do you think about the latency ? because your phone send the command to the 1home server in the cloud that will send the command to 1home gateway in your home and then the command is sent using KNX device.

    • @PoseidwnTech
      @PoseidwnTech  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you use Apple Home Kit then the command is sent locally and also works without internet connection. Alexa and Google Home requires internet since they are cloud based. The latency the most of the times is less than 2 seconds.

    Thanks for your really informative video! I have EIB/KNX-driven light dimmers and relays (Berker) in my home. I do not have that ETS-project -file anymore, so how to invent my dimmers, relays and push buttons and other equipments to an ETS-file in order to use them with 1Home Bridge? So, my aim is to buy one 1Home Bridge and install it as you mentioned in your excellent video. I have also numerous Philips Hue devices, which I command with Apple HomeKit.

    • @PoseidwnTech
      @PoseidwnTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is not necessary to have the ETS file but you will have to find the Group Addresses using ETS. But i highly recommend to find the ETS File.

      @harrilampela4890 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi again! I bought the 1Home Bridge and also got a sertificate of ETS-programming from KNX.org and a Home-level license to ETS6-software for managing up to 64 different KNX-equipments in my home. So, I have now option to modify my knx-project file by myself and upload that to 1Home Bridge when ever necessary.
      The next thing is to make the actual installation of 1Home Brigde to my KNX BUS. Your advices in the video are quite clear and understandable, but one thing: the KNX BUS-cable. is it just a same in which connection on the KNX BUS-end I will contact the black and red wires? Or is there some named / particular connector for that purpose?

    How does 1Home compare with Thinka and Home Assistant for this type of integrations?

    • @1HomeSmartHome
      @1HomeSmartHome 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hey,
      In comparison to Thinka:
      *Bridge also has a KNX IP Interface integrated
      *Bridge also offers secure remote access via KNX ETS
      *Bridge is equipped with AI detection algorithm that automatically recognises devices from an ETS project file - heavily minimising the time required for the setup.
      *Bridge comes equipped with POE, providing an optional setup as an extension to existing Gira HomeServer, Miniserver or KNX IP Interface - perfect for retrofit. Users can install & configure the device on their own. In some cases, integrators can take over and perform the configuration remotely.
      In comparison to Homeassistant:
      *Bridge is a commercial product with the development team behind that offers constant updates for all integrations. With Homeassistant you have to manually update your integration every time there is an API update
      *Apple HomeKit integration is certified on the 1Home Bridge
      *There is a support team behind the product helping you get the most out of integration
      Hope this explains it.
      Cheers,
      1Home team
