I do sentiments and store the way you do, thanks for the idea! I use my strips for little images, glitter or paste and add to card and of course inking! Thanks for all your great ideas that use what we have with zero hard sell!
These are great ideas! So far, I have a ton of scrap strips from making mini library books; I've used the strips to make smaller... and smaller... and smaller notebooks, so these ideas will help me use them up in a variety of new ways! Thank you for sharing them!
I make up sentiment strips or card stock quarters for our senior center where I attend a card making class. They sell the cards for 50 cents each. We use donated card fronts and cut them up.
I get out my small sentiment stamps, like thank you, happy birthday, thinking of you and stamp them on the white strips and back them with a color strip and have them in a jar to use when I need to put on the front of cards.
Love the low tack tape hack for gluing and placement all at once. I accidentally discovered how efficient and effective this hack is about a month ago when I was having to deal with fiddly multiple pieces for a card. I was so frustrated and just started taping pieces together. It worked great for keeping the pieces straight and aligned. It also worked well to keep those pieces I needed to be spaced evenly apart. Adding adhesive and to the card mat was a breeze! I had never seen this hack before so I am elated you are sharing it.
Ive added simon hurleys lunar paste to each strip or embossing powders. Ink up a strip stamp w/versamark then go right into the color of ur inkpad stamp onto strip then add clear embossing powder heat & you have ur own color. It will not hurt ur inkpads
Suggestion for the photocopied elements - save the die cut “outline”, then place it on top of an uncut copy to easily place dies without having to re-center them each time.
Thank you so much I really really enjoyed watching you create very very useful items out of scraps of white card stock. Great video. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
I love the strip card! Very timely - I was just about to throw out all my white scraps! And I have TONS of ephemera that I've picked up over the years, and this will give me a great use for them. Thank you!!
Sometimes when you use white strips run a tracing tool along a couple makes it look like you have stitched them on works a treat for the wider strips for any who do not know what a tracing tool is it a little wheel with handle that quilters use
Great ideas! I use a lot of my white scraps for sentiments and layering instead of foam tape. I like the way you store your sentiments. If I want to stamp the entire set I just tape the entire set to the door of my stamping platform and then stamp.
This is the first time I’ve seen any of your videos and I just love the easy way you describe what’s going on and the simplicity of using the mountain of scraps we gather. I’m going to make some cards using your ideas. I like it that you have 3 or 4 of my tools in your armoury as well 😀
Fabulous video! You have a great voice for videos. I like that you have your act together and don’t have to go into another room, etc. to get something. You spend time and effort editing, and it’s greatly appreciated!
Thank you sooo much! I do spend a lot of time editing. It is my least favorite thing to do, but I do believe the results are worth it. I appreciate the time it takes to watch and comment! 😊
I've used a square punch to cut up scraps and then embossed them with different patterns, and them N arranged them onto a square card, leaving one square pain for a sentiment.
Great ideas! I have thought of so many ideas but I am really liking yours. I bought a rolladex I wanted to capture like happy birthday with name of stamp set, etc. haven’t done it yet! Thank you for the ideas.😊
New subscriber. I'm always looking for ways to use what I already own. Not what was recently released. I won't watch a creator selling me supplies because 1) this stuff is no longer cheap, 2) I probably already have something like it in my stash, and 3) would like to watch someone show me other ways to get it made. For this reason, I unsubscribed to everyone who gets paid commission to sell me product - and my craft budget was cut in half!
Great ideas for white card stock scraps. I use white card stock to layer my ephemera if they are flimsy. I like how you colored your stamped images and cataloged and stored them for future use. Also, liked how you store your sentiments and die cuts. Great idea using low tack tape to place small objects. New subscriber. Will definitely use some of these ideas and organizational methods. Thank you❤❤❤❤
Great ideas! Thanks for the glue eraser tip, struggled with sticky stamps, ordered one! I use my white scraps for stamping, die cutting and as foam. I don’t hoard just white but all paper scraps 😧 Tfs, 🤗 hugs Sandra new subbie
I use my white scraps pretty much the way you do. I love to stack die cuts and sentiments with my white scraps for a chipboard like feel/look. Much like you did with your hearts. I also use it with Gummiapan dies because you can snip them apart to build up dimension to make it more 2D looking. All fun ways to use white scraps! I also love how you stamped, colored and cataloged-such a great idea and one I need to implement. Once I do some purging that is! LOL
Maybe make a small stash of diecuts and stampings BEFORE you purge?? THAT way you’ll at least have a few in reserve to use if (in my case, w h e n !!) you end up mourning the loss of that one specific one that would be just perfect at the moment!! I tried sharing a die set plus a piece from a “nest” with a friend in a different state, only to have NEITHER of us ending up with the pieces as the “DeJoy post office” LOST them!! But for some strange reason I took the time and made the effort to make 3 or 4 diecut sets BEFORE i sent them off! I NEVER would have done that before, but at this time I’ll never NOT do it!!
Oh man I hate when the post office is careless about a piece of mail! I do realize how many millions of pieces they handle and know it really is “just a small amount ,”. But it still stinks. 😪
silly question for you. I see you use the Bearly Art glue. I have problems with the tip getting clogged while I'm still using it. I don't want to up the pin in it every time I finish and go on to the next thing. What do you do???
Not a silly question! I really didn't care to put the pin in every time either. I recently got their silicone stoppers (and a put a rubber band around the bottle to hold the top while I'm using it). They are great! Take a look: shrsl.com/4ehhs

Hi! I am using a stamping platform that was sold through Stampin' Up, however it has been discontinued due to a lawsuit. The sampling platform that I would suggest is the MISTI. It is a My Sweet Petunia product and is widely available here in the US. If you would like to check it out, here's a link. :shrsl.com/4e3jd. This one is in the color Rose Quartz which is exclusive to Scrapbook.com. They are an excellent company. I get most of my supplies through them. They also offer free items most of the time - just click on the Coupon section. Right now they have an LDRS Sentiment Stamp Set for free. The newest color is Teal. It is available on Amazon for the same price without any freebies. amzn.to/3SwtCFJ If I can be of any further help, please let me know ! - Wendy
Hello! The girl was colored with COPIC markers. The bird was colored with distress oxide and its wing has distress embossing glaze on top. I used my distress oxides to color a piece of card with my saltwater taffy and tea dye colors then I stamped out the birdhouse. Thank you for watching!
When I bought my Plat 6, I wanted a machine that was going to be a workhorse. It's a sturdy little machine and the inside is a solid steel core. The Big Shot (which I don't have ) has some steel parts - gears and rollers along with an alloy roller housing. Not sure if that matters to you or not. On the Sizzix website I found the Big Shot weighs 9.5 lbs and was $230. The Plat 6 is nearly 13 lbs. and Scrapbook.com has it for $130 + depending on if you want a bundle with additional tools or not. Magic mats are fab! The Plat 6 also comes with the universal plate system now which is super because I paid $60 for it when it came out! If you want to take a look at it:shrsl.com/4da9u. I did locate it on the Spellbinders website with free shipping and a similar cost (and the new color). I hope this helps in your decision. Any other questions, please ask!
Perhaps things have changed, but as long as I can remember, most stamp companies consider photocopying their images a violation of copyright. The Angel Policy should state what you can and cannot do…
Some companies do have that stipulation. The company I referred was was Riley and company. The owner is the one who suggested it on her TH-cam channel.
What do you do with white paper scraps?
Hoard them of course! 🤣🤣🤣

- Wendy

What did you use to colour your stamps?
Hello! The girl was colored with COPIC markers. The bird was colored with distress oxide and its wing has distress embossing glaze on top. I used my distress oxides to color a piece of card with my saltwater taffy and tea dye colors then I stamped out the birdhouse. Thank you for watching!
What was the crafter name you recommended
Hello! I was speaking of the owner of Riley and Company. Her name is Tanya, and she has videos here on TH-cam.
What die cutting machine do you have?
I have a Spellbinders Platinum 6. Are you looking for a die cutting machine , replacing one, etc?
@@villagecardandcrafts Replacement. Had Diamond Press but was unhappy with it.
@@villagecardandcrafts thank you. That helps a lot.
Gift tags and bookmarks..
Yes!
I sometimes use scraps to stack behind frames or sentiments rather than using foam tape
@bonnieisabelle3641 another great idea! Thank you! 😊
I do not think one is allowed to photocopy the stamped images.
The owner of Riley and Company said this is what she does with her products.
