My videos would be so long if i talked through them and you'd get bored watching something simple like laying strips. I get bored watching videos like that ha ha
You just said it's nine o'clock on Saturday night in the UK... I didn't realize you're that far ahead of us here in the states. Central time for me in Alabama is a little after 4 p.m Saturday afternoon. Sasha I hope you rest well tonight. I have to tell you these cards are beautiful! It's been a little while since I've stopped to watch any TH-cam videos, and I just have to say these are so nice. I love seeing you use up your scraps like this. Thanks for sharing these, someone is going to love receiving them. ❤️
Oh Wanda you have made my night, thank you for your lovely encouragement! I really appreciate you watching my video and also taking the time to leave me a lovely message. Thank you
Beautiful cards! I love saving/using my strips too. And in the US, what I do when I want to make a square card,I just mail it in a rectangular envelope.🙂❤️
AMAZING! I have sooooo many scraps and die cut left-overs. I need to spend a week just using what's ready to go. I just enjoy playing with sparkly colorful products! 🤣😁 TFS
you should take your scraps and trim them in to strips! then you can crack on with some of these. I often do that with my specialty card- like glitter and foil
Hi Sasha. WhooHoo for your pool and your pending renovations. Glad that you are enjoying a few hot days. Here in Cape Town it is cold and wet but not complaining because we need the rain. I love and enjoy all of your videos very much. This one was no exception. I loved every minute. All your cards are gorgeous. Enjoy your week ahead and your peanut butter. Keep well. Love and hugs to you and your family. God bless. 💖🤗
Awe thank you Noreen! I have no doubt that in a couple weeks we will have nothing but solid rain. We've started gardening so ive been having to make sure to water the plants heavily each night to make sure they dont die on us
Those cards are fabulous! Love the trick with the glitter. The mirror card stock you have saved up in strips is wonderful on those card panels. I love your channel. You are so talented and so "you" and you have a great sense of humor. Keep on crafting. I'll be right there with you with my own glass of wine.
What an awesome way to use scraps! My hubby is always moaning telling me to throw my scraps in the bin Cannot wait to see your new office and love the size of the pool x
Hi. Same here. Unfortunately I think I am a bit of a hoarder as it pains me even to throw out the remnants of the die cuts, there's little ziplock bags all over the place! 😆
Absolutely stunning cards Sasha…and quite the lesson in the beauty of mixing colors we wouldn’t have otherwise chosen as well! I kept strips for awhile but found the task of gluing each on onto a card was tedious and messy…and now that you have shown us how to avoid that with double stick tape, I’m off to the kitchen to find a couple “SASHA JARS!” 🤣 Thank you so much for your time and best of luck with your construction project.
The circles were my favourite and Im in love with the 70s vibe of those orange and brownish ones!! Great ideas and beautiful outcome again Sasha! Thank you!! 😊
Brilliant cards, as always, Sasha 👍 I’m in the naughty corner, I don’t keep my scraps 😲 We had just a wee bit of work done 2 weeks ago, and I’m still recovering 😆 nothing like the loft conversion you are getting. I hope the workmen get it finished quickly for you. Our part of Scotland 🏴 is definitely NOT as hot as “down South” I couldn’t cope in that heat. The kiddiwinks look like they had a lot of fun in the pool, that’s my “lottery win ambition” to build a house with a pool 🏊 Enjoy the rest of your weekend and the sunshine ☀️ 🌞 😎
yes it's going to hit over 40 by the end of the week in the south! I think we're going to get to about 35. Hot hot hot! And Audrey, you naughty one! Get a jar out and start sticking those strips in 😘
Hi Sasha, love those - and love getting new ideas for my strips, I hoard them compulsively, too. I love the circles idea, I’ll have to try these! I do the same kind of panels you do - and often then run them through an embossing folder. Looks amazing and seems to adhere the strips extra well. Oh, and I do them with off-cuts of my ink blended, stenciled, smooshed background, collecting all those separately - looks amazing! Finally, in Germany, they make you pay extra for letters outside the standard sizes AND for any envelopes which are not white, too (so you have to pay extra TWICE if you dare send a square card in a, say, blue envelope!). Thank you for your amazing, fun, entertaining and inspiring videos, Kind regards from Germany, Nicola
Sasha, I always love hearing your cheerful voice! You sound so happy & excited to be crafting. It's contagious (at least for me), believe me. :) I love how these cards came out. The one where you did the straight-across strips puts me in mind of a disco party. LOL I'm glad y'all are having nice weather. Here in Texas in the U.S., we've been having 100+ degree (Farenheit) temperatures for the past few weeks. That's pushing 40 degrees Celcius. It is INSANE, even for us at this time of year! And that doesn't even account for the effects of humidity - which pushes it to the 110 degree range. And if you're in the sun, just forget it - you will absolutely melt. :P Anyway, thank you for sharing your cards. Take care, enjoy your beautiful weather, & have an awesome day! :)
oh my days Andrea!!! That is hot hot hot. Parts of the UK are going to hit over 40 this week! we will hit about 35. I feel so happy we got the pool, i was in it last night for half an hour and made such a difference to being able to sleep!
Love the glitter owl and pineapple.😊 And the shiny strips in the backgrounds. My new favorite craft supply is packing tape. What an easy way to get shine on a card! No messy stuff to use, no drying time. I don't have much metallic paper, so I'll add shine with the tape applied to paper. Also easy to add bling with glitter punches or packing tape punches. Clear contact paper with the eggshell type finish applied to paper before die cutting makes neat accents, too. Or wide Scotch tape. I use it on my Cuttlebug, though. I hesitate to use the tape on paper on my Scan n Cut, because of the way they cut. Downward pressure on Cuttlebug, and guillotine trimmer also makes the tapes stick better on the edges of my diecuts, and cuts.
That’s is exactly what I do because I was teaching my friend and GrandDaugther how to do it to help me also You know how using it to make like a potholder interweaving one into the other 🥰🤗
Hi. That's one heck of a pool, fabulous! These cards are just amazing and there's sooo many of them that I can't believe you managed such a jam-packed video into what must have been a crammed full day. I crown you Wonder Woman! Thank you so much for all the hints, tips and tricks and sharing these beauties. Good luck with the renovations and I hope your thumb gets better soon.
Awe thank you so much Deb, i just got on a roll and found it hard to stop! Thumb is getting better. I bought a new knife and it's wicked sharp, was cutting open an avocado and it was quite firm and the knife moved slightly and then ouch :(
Thank you Sasha , for sharing these quick , easy , but beautiful cards with us my friend . You always make the simplest but sweetest cards that I love . Again , thank you and enjoy your Saturday evening 🙂
Hi Sasha, I love this technique those cards are brilliant and done with something you would throw away I need to get myself a jar and copy you huni thanks for showing us how to use them up,big hugs Katie 💕💜💕
Oh gosh! I was totally loving how you are using your scraps-- so many pretty creations--and then --WINE!! Your cards are amazing. Thanks for the ideas!!!
oh you've come at a really great time! This country likes the rain, but right now it's proper summer weather. The Peak District is so super lovely! You will love it
When I’m doing this kind of card, I put glue stick a big swath in the middle of the card. I lay down strips on top of it. Then, I glue stick the ends or corners and finish it up. The added advantage of glue stick over double-sided tape is that you can wiggle the strips into place. Your cards are beautiful. Thanks!
Another great video to watch with my morning coffee! While I have used glitter to fill in my oopsies with strips - I've never thought about deliberately leaving gaps. Thank you. And enjoy (the after!) Of your renovations. It will be worth the inconvenience. I'm off to share your video with my card group.
The last week at work was quite exhausting and my head is pretty empty. Thank you for your great video and the memory of this beautiful technique. I will then also "play" with my collected strips today. Big hug from Germany for my lifesaver today ;).
I love your cup idea for your strips! I have saved mine but didn't think about having in front of me. Brilliant with the glitter ✨ Great cards!! I am so happy for you and your family❣
Wow so much going on in your life & you still manage to knock out an inspiring tutorial for some stunning cards ... thank you and wishing you a stress free reno 😍🦘

A lot of fun cards I have been making some myself also with old book pages I love using old book pages thank you so much fun your cards are stunning ❤THEOLA
So, so in your face happy!! Love these stripey cards, especially with the circle spotlight. Your pool looks delightful. Certainly cuts down on mowing 😁 Thanks for sharing pix of your home. Good luck on getting that addition finished soon.

I absolutely love this video. It’s because of you and one of your previous videos that I started my own “strips scraps jar”. I’ve done a few cards with my strips but they’re still nothing like yours… I’m working on it though. Thank you so much for your inspiration. You are an amazing crafter and I’m learning so much from every video you share with us.
Scrappy strip cards are the best way to use up scraps in a hurry! On a rectangular envelope, I believe US postal machines look at the top right/lower left for the stamp, so on a square envelope they cannot do that. I do not work at the USPS, so this is a guess. 😄
Thank you for speeding up the process and not wasting time blabbering about your yard or dog or grocery store like some of these videos do!
Fun, economical, and beautiful, all at the same time!❣️
I like the speeded up video with your voice over. Very nice use of scraps.
