I can’t throw out my scraps. I like to use my edge punches and make boarder strips and also do what you do with other punches. I really enjoyed watching this video. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much for watching! I often share my scrap stash with my 5-year-old who likes to "make cards". I should have taken all of my mom's stash and given my kiddo the pieces I didn't like. Oh well!
One lady I watch on TH-cam cuts rectangle shapes out and stamp a bunch of sentiments out for cards. Also Title strips for cards and puts them all in a binder using stamp or die storage pages including baseball card pockets.
Thank you for Sharing the box of scraps you got from your mother. I’m sorry to hear you lost her. It is fun to see what fun papers you came across. I always like to see finds like these. Some here, there, and everywhere LOL TFS😍🥰
You inherited some lovely papers... I think finds like this help us to "think outside of the box" because it causes us to create with something we didn't necessarily pick out ourselves. In your case it also sounds like this paper find reminded you of some nice Big Lot shopping times with your mother, too. I bet she would be very pleased to know you are using her stash.
I keep all of my scraps in all sizes. I never know what I may need or want when working on a page. I sort them in plastic envelopes by color. It comes in handy also & gives such a variety of styles & colors, especially when stores stop carrying a certain style or color. My scrap stash is quite large. 😁 Thanks for sharing your scrap stash.
Such a good idea to cut down scraps. I think it's so cool your mom is crafty as well. Big lots does not have any crafting supplies which is a bummer because I'm sure there were some great finds😊TFS
Big Lots and Tuesday Morning were always my go-tos, and now Big Lots doesn't have scrapbook stuff and Tuesday Morning closed the store near me. Waaaaa!
Nice pieces of paper from your moms house. I like to use bigger pieces for matting cards. I also use my punches to punch different designs and have them handy for embellishments on cards or any type of project. I also package some and mail them out to crafty friends. Once my scraps are getting out of control I take a few days to use some of the papers by making cards, embellishments and I also use word dies to die cut sentiments to keep and to gift to others. 😊😊😊
I have dies, so I die cut my scraps into basic shapes, and specific shapes, depending on color, and what I could use for cards. I'm just getting back into scrapbooking, since I found a whole tub of family and pet photos.
I like the idea of making a card when you complete a layout. Brilliant!
Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for watching! Great idea to store scraps by color. Makes more sense than my previous method of just throwing everything into a drawer!
Awesome ideas! I sort my scraps by color, it’s definitely helped in getting me to use them more. 😊🌈
Yes, my next step for the bigger pieces is to sort them by color. Thanks for watching!

@ 2:10 what brand is that Christmas paper. So cute
I have absolutely no idea! There was no branding strip on it.
Have you ever made a video of that you did with these scraps?
Yes! I've got several process videos here on the channel that feature this stuff!
