Oh Wendy! Great use of scraps in truly inventive ways. I love going "shopping" in my stash to match things up and these techniques look like so much fun.
They are fantastic cards. Just when I thought I should start throwing away my scraps. You turn them into beautiful cards. Thank you so much Wendy. Love what you do ❤️❤️
When using glitter on scrap cards I have found there is less mess by using less glitter and rubbing it around with my finger. A diamond glitter is beautiful on scrap cards. I like you idea of cutting scraps into smaller pieces and scattering them about.
Hi, Wendy I love the way these look like tiles with colored grout. You hit one of my embarrassments. I have plenty of embossing powders and I have a heat tool. Couldn't tell you if the heat tool even works because I haven't touched any of it. I've had these things for about 3 years. This looks like a lovely project to start with. Nancy Oh, my favorite cards are the skunk and the 3 panel ones.
Oh no! Pleeeese take those powders out and get that heat gun heated up! Start with a project like this because it’s doesn’t require any precision. You have to be afraid of messing up. Join us on Facebook and share what you make. Our group is lovely. 🩷
Hello Wendy. You have a lovely smile and an easy nature. You teach at a nice understandable pace, unhurried. One thing I would ask. I am new to cardmaking and wonder if you could say the weight of the cardstock that you use when making projects. It would help me very much, knowing the best weight to use. Jo xx
I have versa stamp and embossing powder but when I use it and try to dry with my hair dry, it doesn't really dry. Is it me or the drying process? I loved your ideas and have subscribed. ☺
First, thank you for subscribing! I'm glad you enjoy my content. If you are trying to melt your embossing powders with a hair dryer, that typically won't work. You need something with much more heat...a heat gun or heat tool. Embossing powder is not supposed to dry. It should melt. I hope that helps.
For an A2 size card begin with an 8.5” x 11”. Cut in half - down the 8.5” side at 4.25” for a top folding card. Cut down the 11 side at 5.5” for side folding card.
You don’t seem to be on main stream media anymore so why is that? I had to look you up as a person that I had already subscribed to watch otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to watch you today.
Hello! I’m not sure what you mean by main steam media. If you are talking about the videos that are suggested by TH-cam on your feed page, then those are based on your personal searches. If you have subscribed to any channel , you can always click on you Subscription button. There will be a blue dot on those pictures that have new content released. I’m glad you found me again! 💜
Which card was your favorite ?
I think my favorite would be the blue one
Oooh I love that iridescent blue embossing powder! I might need that in other colors, too!
Oh ya! The triple panel Blue one!! (But the lil girl on the first one was darling!)
The blue is mine too
Definitely the blue. But I was taken with the green one that looked like a path xx
9:36 -- "That's not a postage stamp layer..." So creative to use a basic whole punch to get this unique look.✨

Hello! Thank you for kind words. I always use Accent Opaque 100 lb card for the bases. The layers are Recollections 65 lb card. 🩷

Waste is one of the things I hate so I store box lots of "strippy" bits!!!
A great way to start a project like this! 😊
